Dream Big Birthday Greeting Card Polly's Paper Studio 01

Who says cards for boys have to be boring? I did all my layering like I would any other card and it turned out great!

I created a tag from the cut apart and added a metal eyelet to string striped ribbon trim through.

I’ve wrapped twine around the center section and behind the tag.

Using spacers between the layers helps the details pop.  The inside of the card is finished with coordinating patterns.

Not only is this card a thoughtful gift….but wouldn’t it look cute displayed in a little boys bedroom? Or even a big boys mancave lol .

Card To Welcome Baby& New Challenge at RRR

Standard

Hey there Peeps. We’re starting a new challenge at RRR today and the theme this time is Celebrate with Ribbon or Trim ….which you know I am all about lol.

I created a card to celebrate a new baby. I think it would look really lovely displayed in a nursery after the baby arrives.  Prop it on a shelf with some books and vintage baby toys.

This little puppy image was the inspiration for the card. I took the color cue from the border and incorporated the blues and greens.

So many glorious flowers all arranged with coordinating ribbon, Prills, spiral stamens, and twine.

A tiny metal charm hangs on this side and has more of the Prills and twine.  I used a tiny clip to attach a sweet label over fishtail shapes in matching paper patterns.

Metal mailing tags and additional flowers to balance the arrangement on the top with altered chippies that create a lovely border and sentiment.

Tattering the edges adds a lot of texture and spacers between the layers creates depth.  This card would make a great addition to the nursery décor.

I have mini mania : )

Standard

I’ve been on a mini album kick lately. I’ll be sharing several over the next few days. I love to layer them up with loads of patterned papers and cardstock….then accent them with stickers.

IMG_0913I added some trims from Really Reasonable Ribbon….and some from my stash to dress the rings and accent the cover.

IMG_0914IMG_0915IMG_0916IMG_0917Creating baby projects always makes me very nostalgic for my boys when they were small. Everyone in my house is taller than me now. ( not too much of a challenge actually considering I’m very short lol )

Okay so that’s mini #1. Check back in tomorrow for mini #2. I think you can guess it’s a baby girl mini.

Now off to create some Super Bowl munchies and watch some pre-game specials.

Hope you all enjoy a happy and productive day and find some time to be creative : ) G

Crate Paper Boy’s Smash Book

Standard

I will admit that I get by with a little help from my friends. I started this project….then let it sit on my work table for a few days with little motivation to finish it. My dear friend Carol had other ideas. Maybe it was when I tried to convince her to just take over and complete the book for me. Ha…..seems my ability to con other people into doing my work is slipping. Dang. With gentle persuasion( nagging) I stayed at work and she helped me bring this cute book past the finish line.

The cover is chipboard and the paper is from Crate….my fav for boy paper. I added a large B cut on the cricut and fun chipboard.
