Card To Welcome Baby& New Challenge at RRR

Hey there Peeps. We’re starting a new challenge at RRR today and the theme this time is Celebrate with Ribbon or Trim ….which you know I am all about lol.

I created a card to celebrate a new baby. I think it would look really lovely displayed in a nursery after the baby arrives.  Prop it on a shelf with some books and vintage baby toys.

This little puppy image was the inspiration for the card. I took the color cue from the border and incorporated the blues and greens.

So many glorious flowers all arranged with coordinating ribbon, Prills, spiral stamens, and twine.

A tiny metal charm hangs on this side and has more of the Prills and twine.  I used a tiny clip to attach a sweet label over fishtail shapes in matching paper patterns.

Metal mailing tags and additional flowers to balance the arrangement on the top with altered chippies that create a lovely border and sentiment.

Tattering the edges adds a lot of texture and spacers between the layers creates depth.  This card would make a great addition to the nursery décor.

Baby Boy Mini Album with Baby 2 Bride and Precious Memories from Graphic 45

Well good morning Paper Peeps. This is a great morning for me because I get to share a very special Mini Album I created with Graphic 45’s Precious Memories and the re-release of the Baby 2 Bride Deluxe eddition.   This album is so full of pretty patterned papers, Staples, flowers and trims.  It doesn’t actually close because I just couldn’t stop…that’s okay..it’ll look really pretty sitting on the shelf in the nursery of the new baby who is getting this album. It already has a home….yay!

Baby Boy Mini Album 1Isn’t that little sleeping baby so cute? This turned out to be a great pattern mash up with the two lines….the soft colors and delicate patterns from Baby 2 Bride really work to set the stage for the more vivid images from Precious Memories. I’ve layered in some chipboard, butterflies, and painted Metal Ornate Keyhole. The binding has Ornate Metal Keys, a vintagy button , Blue Micro Plaid, and Light Blue Burlap String from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

Baby Boy Mini Album 2I used my Tonic edger to get that great tattered edge. I’ve also added tags from the Ivory Tag Album to the ends of the pages to make them easier to turn.

Baby Boy Mini Album 3I combined paper and fabric flowers with hand crocheted flowers with a sweet plaid topped brad.

Baby Boy Mini Album 4See….I told ya it was never gonna close : )

Baby Boy Mini Album 5I kept the embellishments going all though the book and added delicate die cuts for accent.

Baby Boy Mini Album 6I created frames for this set of pages with die cuts and foam spacers. These blooms are Mulberry Flowers and the ribbon is Light Blue Chevron Striped Twill.

Baby Boy Mini Album 8Baby Boy Mini Album 7Baby Boy Mini Album 9I fussy cut the flowers for this page and layered them between sweetheart blooms and stamped and stacked flowers. More of those sweet little plaid brads too!

Bingo Baby Vintage Card

Well…we had lot’s of fun creating projects and catching up with our Peeps last night for Movie Night at the shop.  Thankfully I have project squirreled away to share this morning…since my projects from yesterday are for a super special post coming up soon. Does that have you on the edge of your seat??? LOL

In the meantime….here is shabby vintage baby card.

IMG_1905-002 I had a good time layering up these pretty patterned papers with the sweet baby vintage image.  It’s also got some of my favorite Burlap from Really Reasonable Ribbon. The bow is Pink Seam Binding topped off with Baker’s Twine in Cotton Candy. Last but not least is a vintagy button.  I covered a chipboard heart button in some of the patterned paper check….inked it well and added it over a few floral banner pieces. Or are they bunting pieces? I’m never quite sure lol. Anyhoo… I finished off my card with fabric topped brads….just because they matched.

IMG_1906-002Love this bow : ) This card is available here.

I hope you all have a happy and productive day and find some time to be creative : ) G

Precious Baby Girl Card

I’m just popping in to share a sweet little baby girl card I created yesterday. I’ve got this great new Pink Paislee paper win the shop with the best pink diagonal stripes : ) I did a little more stamping too…I must be on a roll lol….two cards in a row.

IMG_1562-001The inspiration for this card was that little girl image…which I printed on textured cardstock to give an aged appearance…then clipped her from her background.

IMG_1563I stamped the sentiment image then added Stickles to the frame for accent. The stickers are from a Simple Stories sticker sheet. I added the clip and vintage button to finish.

IMG_1562-002The bow is made from RRR Wrinkle Ribbon.

Not sure if this card is going to stay a card….or perhaps I will use it as a cover for a baby girl mini album.

I hope you all enjoy a happy and productive day and find some time to be creative : ) G

Mini Album Tutorial

Today is my day to share a tutorial for Really Reasonable Ribbon. I created an easy to follow process of turning simple paper lunch bags into sturdy little albums without all the complicated measuring and folding. And these great minis have pockets built right in for your pictures tags and mementos : )

First I’ll share a sneak peek at the finished album…

IMG_0974As you can see….I’ve added lot’s and lot’s of embellishments to the cover including pretty patterned papers, painted inked and Stickled chipboard, loads of flowers ( I crocheted the ivory ones myself : ) ) brads, buttons and pearls. I choose to finish off the metal rings with beautiful Cream Mesh Ribbon, Ivory Wrinkle Ribbon, and Diamond Satin Shell Gray and I think they coordinate beautifully : )

IMG_0976I couldn’t resist adding more beautiful trims to the pockets on the inside pages.

IMG_0977I added a pretty little vintage button over this faux bow of Diamond Satin Shell Gray trim and crocheted lace.

IMG_0978If one button is good…then 5 should be better right????? lol This yummy trim is Sheer Box Pleats in Ivory.

Okay….now for the tutorial….there are lot’s of pictures here…but trust me it’s super easy!

IMG_0961IMG_0963IMG_0966IMG_0968IMG_0969IMG_0970IMG_0971IMG_0972IMG_0973See…told ya it was easy : ) You’ll want to keep this tutorial handy for creating quick wedding or baby shower gifts….or make them for yourself : ) They are super sturdy after adding all the paper layers and you can tie on all your favorite Really Reasonable Ribbon Trims to add the perfect finishing touch : )

Okay that’s it for my tutorial. I hope you all enjoy a happy and productive day and find some time to be creative : )G

Quick update…..Someone brought it to my attention that I forgot to give the measurement for the coordinating paper for the pocket….ooops. The strip os 2 1/4 inches x 6 inches. : )
