Lucky Dog Envelope Flip Book Mini with Video

Hello there and happy Tuesday! I hope you are all doing well : )  I’ve got a fun project share for you today. I’ve created an envelope flip book  just perfect for a for a favorite furry friend.

If you love plaids and florals and polka dots….the Raining Cats and Dogs collection from Graphic 45 is chock full of them.

I’ve added a pretty little chipboard frame from GSL to anchor the focal image.

There’s also a lovely selection of coordinating flowers, vintage buttons, a fun metal clip, and ribbon trim in a fabby plaid.

The inside pages have more of the paper patterns layered with pockets, pull outs, and tags.  There’s a schneaky chipboard tab top also for accent.

The little booklet and pull outs provide loads of space to add pictures and journaling.

This collection has sweet little die cuts too so I used them to add interest to the pockets and tag.

I mean….you can never go wrong with plaids right? I have used them in abundance….making sure to mat them with a sold color to keep the arrangement from getting too busy.

Tips ins added to the pages create  fun interactive element to minis and they also add valuable real estate.

Documented Mini Scrapbook Album Echo Park with video

Hello there friends and happy Thursday!  I’m still here in the cold and snow making mini albums to keep myself from being a Michigan winter crazy head person.  I’ll either have to move to a warmer climate or change my name to Ginny’s Wide World of Mini Albums lol.   Anyhoo….today’s album is created with For the Record from Echo Park.

Isn’t this a fun vintagy collection?  I created the book base with a box from the recycle bin. Turns out that eating pita cracker snacks is another thing I do well when it’s super cold out. Not good for me..but great for the scrapbooks.

There are oodles of layers here with fussy cut doilies, flowers, vintage buttons, sequins, and pretty epoxy embellishments.

This set of pages has a band with tags tucked in and a raised matted section for larger pictures.

This collection has fun stylized florals and graph papers.

 I do love me some tip ins….and I did add 6 to this mini.

These pockets hold pull out flip tags with tabbed tops that add a huge amount of real estate to this mini….also the paper is lined so it’s a great place to add pictures and journaling.

I have the flowers added all the way through the book because they are flowers and more flowers is better flowers.

Foam spacers are added to all the tip in journal cards to help bulk up the mini so it will be a nice chunky look and the cover will sit level with the back spine.

There was a page with border strips in the collection and I chose to snip apart the tickets and use them as tabs for the tags.

The last page has a sweet little birdie sticker layered over one of the many fussy cut doilies. I’ve also layered the smaller doilies to create a nice cluster for the top of the matted picture area.

Inspire Mini Album Flip Book BoBunny

Hello there and happy Tuesday friends!  A great day for a fun hop with the folks here at Really Reasonable Ribbon.

We are sharing the project we created with the March Ribbon Club Assortment.

I created a fun flip book mini album scrapbook embellished with a bow created with the beautiful ribbon that coordinates with the patterned papers perfectly!

That bow is scrumptious! That stitched satin makes for the perfect poof : )

I had so much fun creating tip ins that add a huge amount of real estate in a mini….just think of all the pictures and journaling that can be added!

Pockets hold tags but could also hold mementos like tickets or other flat keepsakes.

Did I mention tags?  I’ve added them in layers….you can never have enough tags!

A great way to add interest to the pages is to add border strips to the top and bottoms of the pages. This set of pages have more pockets and tip ins.

Each of the inside pages have a large pull out of matted coordinating paper for larger pictures. There are 4 in this book so you won’t run out of room to add all the special memories.

 This paper collection is Petal Lane from BoBunny and it makes me think spring ( even though it’s currently snowing.)

The back of the book has a fun cut apart journal card that is great as is…but could be used to write a sweet sentiment.

Botanical Tea Envelope Mini Album with Video

Hello there friends and happy Friday to you all! I’ve been hiding away in my shop to keep out of the snow and cold.  I’m keeping myself in a springtime frame of mind by creating another mini album scrapbook : ) This time I’m using Botanical Tea from Graphic 45.  A very springy collection in my humble opinion. The book itself is made from handcrafted envelopes…mostly because I ran out of pre-made ones….but also because I think it gives a thicker more sturdy page. This book as a weighty chunky feel to it. I’ve also created the flowers….to entertain myself during our most recent power outage.

Sun Kissed Mini (mega) Album with Graphic 45

Hello there friends and fellow crafters and happy Tuesday to you : ) I’m sharing a mini album I created with Graphic 45 Sun Kissed collection and by mini I really mean mega because this scrapbook is super chunky.  I deconstructed a Square Tags and Pockets album then reassembled it as a Midori style with inserts.

I did say chunky.  This mini is the thickest scrapbook I have ever created! Of course I added loads of charms to the spine after stringing it up and topped them off with pretty bows and vintage button.

This collection has gorgeous patterns so I layered them up and added altered chipboard, flowers, twine, netting, sequins, and Prills.

Each of the 4 inserts have a fully embellished cover. Spacers between the layers really adds depth.

The insides have large pages for bigger pictures.

Gorgeous beachy themed chippies are the perfect accent.

The pockets inside have tags with coordinating images and plenty of room to add journaling.

This cover has additional die cuts like the little banner and doily which really fill in the arrangement nicely.

Since the entire collection goes together so perfectly I was able to mix and match the patterns to create similar but different combinations for the inside pages.

I left some of the chipboard in it’s natural color since it coordinates so well with the kraft covers!

I really super love the nature inspired images and patterns so perfect for vacation pictures.

You Warm My Heart Llama Mini Album with Authentique

Well hello there Peeps and happy Llama Day! Hahah . I’m sharing a super sweet mini album I created with Alpine by Authentiqe and let me tell you how much I love this collection!!! Llamas and plaid. What’s not to love?

Awwwww look at that sweet llama.  The image is the inspiration for this album. It’s layered up with the patterned papers, die cuts, flowers, ribbon, twine, chipboard, sequins, pearls, and fun winter themed charms.

The images here are the cut aparts and they are so fun. I wanted to keep the whole image and still have room for pictures and journaling so I added them as tip-ins.

Once the tip-ins are folded out you can see the first pages also have pockets with large tags.

These pages also have pockets but they’re on the sides. More tags to pull out created with the companion patters. I wanted to use this sledding image here but it was too wide. The solution  was to clip it into 2 sections then add it as two pieces. I love how it turned out!

It’s so much fun to create interactive pages. These have twist tie closures. You can see here now that we’re in the middle pages that I’ve added eyelets to the spine. Not only does this give me a place to tie on the charms….but it helps the book pages to be nicely  secured.

Once the flaps are open it shows the complimentary patterns inside. What a great place for pictures and journaling.

I just can’t get enough of these fun images so I used them to create pockets for more pull out tags. The smaller matted sections would be a great place to add memories.

 

The last set of pages have fun little flaps secured with clips. Simply flip the flap to reveal more area to scrapbook in.

Lining them with coordinating papers makes them extra fun.

Larger tags are tucked into the pockets and also fold up so you can add even more pictures.

Safari Adventure Mini Album

Hey there Peeps! Ginny here and I’m pretty excited to be sharing a fabulous finished project that started with me getting to work with the designers at Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts to develop a new Staggered Mini Album Base.  This was an amazing experience and I can’t wait to do it again : ) Safari Adventure Mini Album.

 I am loving how you can see all the layers of this book without even opening it.  It’s like a sneak peek.  This album base will be coming to the shop very soon.  I’m just picturing it with a Christmas or Halloween theme?????  For this finished project I’m using Safari Adventure from Graphic 45.I added some great coordinating chippies for my theme…..these are the Safari Shapes Set and they will also be available soon at Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts.  Couldn’t ask for a better match! Once you star flipping the pages you can really see the staggered effect of the page sizes. I added a few tags from Graphic 45 to give me room for larger pictures and journaling.I worked in some of the Safari Adventure chipboard pieces . There are also some layered flowers. Adding these embellishments caused the book to get very bulky…..but that’s how I like mini albums so I’m thrilled.Those laser cut borders work great to slip pictures in behind…finished with flat black to coordinate with the book cover.I was able to create extra pockets for tags and more journaling. I love how the Safari Chippies colored in flat black create a graphic pop against the jungle themed papers : )I did mention it got a little bulky?  Just the way I like it!!!!!Loads of patterns here….but it does not seem busy with the solid borders.

Get Your Happy Dad’s Day On Mini & Guest Design for Petaloo

Hey there paper Peeps! It’s Ginny here and I am really really really excited to be sharing my first project as guest designer at Petaloo for May.  I’ve created a fun and festive mini album with  Father’s Day as my inspiration.  I think a mini scrapbook filled with pictures and loads of memories journaled on the tags is such a thoughtful and very personal gift. It can even hold gift cards in the pockets in case you want to take it up a notch. 

OMGosh these little gnomes from Simple Stories are so dang cute. I super love all the patterns and images from this collection.  I chose to use a spiral binding for this album so it could hold bulkier embellishments like the chipboard stickers. I’ve even tucked in a few flowers throughout the pages and I wouldn’t want them to get smooshed.

These Petaloo flowers really coordinate perfectly with the patterned papers and help to anchor the corner of the book. I layered many shapes and sizes and worked in some fabby Blueberry Picks. Leaves and tiny loopy twine bows fill in this arrangement and the chipboard bees on springs adds a very whimsical touch.

Using a punch I added an accent to the yellow checkered paper banner that’s tucked into to collage.  The Enamel Dots are a fun alternative to buttons and since they come with the Bloom & Grow collection I know they match perfectly.

The base of this book is constructed out of sturdy chipboard so it would hold up to lots of admiring and page flipping. Dad’s gonna want to show off all his little Peeps!

I used ribbon trims to decorate the spiral binding. I found colors that matched the funky little chipboard stickers.  Just one per spiral though so it won’t interfere with the book opening.

Several sets of the inside pages have pockets to add tags and memorabilia. To keep a consistent look I worked the wood grain pattern running throughout the book.

Solid colored cardstock borders and matting helps to make the pockets and tags more sturdy and keeps the busy patterns from running together.

I turned this gnome line up on it’s side to create  pockets on the outside of the pages. It was so much better than having them only on the bottom of the page and allows of bigger tags to be inserted.

The last set of pages has no pockets to allow for bigger pictures…or maybe a handwritten note from the kiddos.

Botanicabella Journal with Graphic 45

Hey there Peeps. Sorry for 2 posts in one day…but we have loads of creativity to share and sometimes it happens.  My next project is for Graphic 45 .  Botanicabella Journal.  This time of year it’s always nice to have  personal handmade items you can present as hostess gifts. A journal or notebook is a pretty and practical gift that can be used by just about everyone. They are sure to remember the special holiday they shared with you when they use it. This journal is created with one of my favorite lines Botanicabella. I added lots of layers and textures as well as tabbed dividers to keep notes organized. A little spritz of copper colored spray to bring it all together and give it an antique appearance.

Celebrating World’s Fair with Graphic 45

Hello there Peeps! Don’t ya just love when a new paper line come out with great patterns and colors that are fun to work with a photograph beautifully? I know I do. That’s just what you get with World’s Fair. It’s really gorgeous and a delight to work with! I created a Tag Book in a Box to highlight my fav images and patterns then loaded it down with embellishments and flowers and ribbon trim.

There is nothing more fun to make than tags. It’s an excuse to pull out every pattern in the collection. And you get to add all the fun trimmy bits and chipboard. I created these tags to work as an unconventional scrapbook just by adding pictures and journaling to the backs of the tags. It can be stored in the box and displayed on a shelf or table.
