Tags & Mixed Media and Digital Collage

Hey there Peeps! Well I’m just dropping in to share some mixed media tags I’ve been working on.  I’m having wayyyy too much fun with the paints and stamps and inks and Gesso….and mostly texture paste!!!!

The dreamer tag has a digital image from our very own shop….Vintage Photos for Mixed Media which is totally fabulous if I do say so myself…I’ve already used 2 of the images!

I think these images are just too perfect for mixed media and altered art. Or cards, or scrapbooks, or tags……

Valentine Greeting Wall Hanging

Hey there Peeps!  I’m just dropping in to share a sweet and very Valentiny wall hanging. This was supposed to be my get up and get moving morning….however I slept in til 7am..OMGosh I never sleep that late….. Anyhoo can’t stay and chat..there’s too much to do now that I’m rolling 3 hours behind. Valentine Greetings Wall Hanging.

Isn’t this just tooo adorable??? Loved that little frame before..but after painting it? Swooning!

Question….how many flowers can Ginny add to a wall hanging? Answer…a lot! And check out that vintage buttons….you can never find that shade of pink now.

Love and Cherish Valentine Printer Tray Home Decor

Hey there Paper Peeps! It’s Ginny here and I’m so very excited to be sharing my very first post for  Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts. What a fun adventure it’s going to be for me to create with these fabulous chippies. For my first project I made a very Valentiny  Love and Cherish Printer Tray with lots of bits and bobs and finished it  with well altered chipboard embellishments.

I just love a classic color scheme for holiday decor and I think this fits the bill. There’s just something about black and creme with red. Soooo romantic.

This gorgeous set of  Ivy Corners has been finished with red acrylic paint then inked and embossed then sprayed with a shimmery mist.  I wanted it to have a well worn and aged look so I dabbed a bit of gold paint in the edges.

I scavenged some seasonal embellies like the keys and heart and butterflies and gave them each a section of the tray being careful to balance the red with the chipboard and metal.

The chipboard was trimmed so it wouldn’t hang off the bottom ….easy enough with a small pair of sharp scissors.

Really Reasonable Ribbon Trim~Red Wrinkle Ribbon. I sprayed the ribbon with the Sued Glimmer Mist to age it and darken it a bit.

To finish the chipboard I used~Americana Cherry Red Acrylic Paint, Tattered Angels Suede Glimmer Mist, Ranger Black Soot Distress Ink, Wow Clear Gloss Embossing Powder.

Charming Cherubs Valentine Projects and Creativity Kit

Hello there Peeps! Well crafting in the new year so far has been just lovely!  Working on Valentines projects with all the hearts and flowers and glittery bits has really gotten me over the post Christmas winter blues.   I’m going a bit overboard with this post having 9 projects….but I was really having too much fun with the new Charming Cherubs Creativity Kit. Why stop when you’re on a roll????

Yup..that’s 9 projects from this kit and I’m not even out of paper pretties yet…I’ve got plans for the rest….I’ll post them when I get them done.  Andddd I didn’t even glue myself to the table once huzzah.  Okay let’s break it down….2 full sized cards, 3 wall hangings, 1 large tag, 1 house tag, 1 peat pot and 1 angel shrine.  Whaaaa???? Botanicabella Journal with Graphic 45

Hey there Peeps. Sorry for 2 posts in one day…but we have loads of creativity to share and sometimes it happens.  My next project is for Graphic 45 .  Botanicabella Journal.  This time of year it’s always nice to have  personal handmade items you can present as hostess gifts. A journal or notebook is a pretty and practical gift that can be used by just about everyone. They are sure to remember the special holiday they shared with you when they use it. This journal is created with one of my favorite lines Botanicabella. I added lots of layers and textures as well as tabbed dividers to keep notes organized. A little spritz of copper colored spray to bring it all together and give it an antique appearance.

Fabulous Floral Variety Greeting Cards & Kit

Hey there Peeps. Dropping in late to share a fun new Fabulous Floral Variety Greeting Card Creativity kit I’ve been working on. I wanted to have a selection of large subway styled sentiments for every occasion and some gorgeous floral patterns to mix and match to go along with them.   The whole idea behind this variety is that these cards went together super fast and with minimal supplies making them very affordable and easier to mail.  I also really love the large sentiments with the pretty flowers…very country chic. I was able to complete 8 full sized cards with a few papers leftover.

Merry Christmas Snowman Card

Well hello there Paper Peeps!  I’m hoping you all enjoyed a nice Thanksgiving holiday. I don’t happen to enjoy Black Friday shopping so I’m getting ready to settle in to my shop and hopefully get lots done. Yesterday between the cooking and eating and cards I was able to sneak down and create this Merry Christmas Snowman card. I kinda love the country charm of it. It’s not fancy..but well embellished with warm colors and a charming snowman image.

I’m using lots of bits and pieces for this and and some papers from my stash.  The ribbon is Swiss Dot Satin in Red from RRR and the flowers are from Petaloo.  There’s a funky little dimensional sentiment along with a perfectly coordinated clothespin holding a stamped tag with a brad.  I also added a few flourish diecuts to give the impression of swirling snow.  Merry Christmas Snowman Greeting Card.

Christmas Is In The Air

Hey there Peeps. It’s cold and chilly and rainy this morning. But I have a lovely cup of French roast and the glow of the Christmas Tree to lighten things up around here. Yes…I know it’s early. But to be fair the tree used to have Halloween decorations on it. And when I took them down last night….well the poor little tree was all nakey and sad. So I did what every good tree parent would and dressed it back up again.

I’ve got a sweet and whimsical Christmas is in the Air card to share that might just look pretty good on the tree….however there is not 1 inch of space left .
