Fright This Way Halloween Greeting Card

Good morning all of you fabulous Peeps! I’m dropping in to share another fun Halloween greeting card.

Fright this way. Get it? Okay I admit it’s just a little bit cheesy….but why not have a laugh…after all this is meant to be a fun holiday right?

I’ve been keeping myself busy in the evening tv watching time by creating flowers to coordinate with my Halloween projects and these plaid and spiderwebby flowers are the icing on the cake for this little beauty.  Satin Swiss Dots Ribbon Tangerine with Black Dots is so perfect to round out the arrangement.

I’ve finished off this card with some die cut leaves and spiderweb, a painted chippie, and holiday die cuts. Last but not least some glittery stars and sequins…because more is always better right?

Okay that’s all for me. Wishing everyone a happy and productive day : ) G

Vintage Halloween Greeting Card

Well hey there! I’m just dropping in today to let you know that I have gone a bit crazy this week creating loads of Halloween projects and I just can’t wait to share them. I’m kicking off with this very vintagy inspired card. The thing I like best about holiday cards is that you can add them to your seasonal decor tucked into a vintagy arrangement or displayed on a shelf.

Now friends between you and me…I just love that green and purple have joined the line up for color palate for Halloween. I mean I will always use orange and black but the new additions really freshen things up don’t ya think?

Happy Halloween Butterfly Greeting Card

Hey there Paper Peeps! Well I’m all up in the Halloween projects these days and my card for today has some great holiday papers and embellies, and some really awesome trim from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

I paired the Satin Swiss Dots on Tangerine with the polka dot patterned papers and it’s a match made in heaven.

Handcrafted flowers with brad centers and coordinating orange buttons fill in the arrangement very nicely.

Sequins, shimmer spiderweb, and large Damask clip are frighteningly fun finishing touches for the fun little card.
Okay that’s all for me. Wishing everyone a happy and productive day : ) g

Spooky Halloween Decor

Hey there Peeps! I’m having a spooky good time creating Halloween decor with my GSL chippies! I’m sharing a project today that started out as an exploding box (coming soon)….but took a turn for the better and became a really fun 3d holiday decor piece. I can just see this sitting on a mantle or shelf as part of a vintagy vingnette.

Spooky Halloween Holiday Decor

All of the most fabulous Halloweeny things all in one place!

Who doesn’t want a spiderweb filled trophy in their holiday decor?

I used the Exploding Box to create a sturdy base.

The layered on all the fun and festive embellies.

Finished on all sides it’s fabby from any angle.

I coated the box in Flat Black Gesso.

Then added layers of patterned papers.

The square side panels made it super easy to measure and cut the papers for the base. I finished the edges with black ink.

Even just by itself the base is really cute…..this mix of patterns is so vintagy!

Bringing in some embellishments to build up the height.

This spiderweb String Along is too tall : (

So I clipped it and re-attached it so all the great detail would sit just on top of the trophy. I painted it black…but missed the picture.

A little embossing powder heat set to finish these chippies and I was ready to assemble.

Ghostly Greetings

Hello there paper peeps! Just dropping in with a frightfully delightful greeting card I created with the new September Ribbon Club Halloween Assortment.

Isn’t it just fabulous? A great mix of traditional Halloween colors and patterns punched up with some fresh and vibrant new additions to the holiday  theme.

I created a very fun and festive card….

Isn’t it just too much???? I love me some layers!

I know this doesn’t quite take the record for the most paper layers I’ve added to a card…but it’s close.

The juxtaposition of the living and the dead with all these glorious flowers arranged on a skull in a cloche is just creepy in a beautiful way.

I’ve got some altered chippies here and a double layer bow.

A few prills and twine finish off this card with great detail.
