Lucky Irish Lass Greetings

Standard

Hello friends and fellow crafters! I’m wishing you the luck of the Irish today with this fun and festive greeting card.

I just love having holiday themed chippies from GSL to create with because it allows me to scrap my stash and create great cards and decor.

This larger frame is just perfect for big cards like this one…it really fills in the space generously.

I’ve substituted 4 leaf clovers for leaves in the flower arrangement and layered them up with twine and seasonal embellishments.

Speaking of luck….an upturned horseshoe will catch all the luck and good tidings : )

I think this card would make a great addition to holiday decor displayed with fun and festive seasonal items : )

I used my favorite embossing powders to finish the chippies before I added them to this card. A few coats of Stickles are added for  super glittery and shiny four leaf clovers : )

You Are So Wonderful Greeting Card

Standard

Hello there and happy Saturday! Hope you are all well in this fin February morning : )  I’m dropping in to share  a lovely country chic inspired greeting card.

You Are So Wonderful Greeting Card Polly's Paper Studio 01

Anytime I can bring together a wood grain with a floral and a doily…. I am so there.

You Are So Wonderful Greeting Card Polly's Paper Studio 02

Also this is a really sweet color combination. Has me thinking Spring….which considering how much snow we still have left outside is a long way away.

You Are So Wonderful Greeting Card Polly's Paper Studio 03

I pulled these flowers to add after being inspired by the background floral pattern.

You Are So Wonderful Greeting Card Polly's Paper Studio 04

There’s a companion pattern tucked under this rolled section on the top corner. It adds a lot of dimension.  I hung a few sweet metal charms from a vintagy button so this card could have a little bling.

You Are So Wonderful Greeting Card Polly's Paper Studio 05

More flowers here with die cut foliage layered underneath. Stickles added to the die cuts is a great way to add subtle detail.

You Are So Wonderful Greeting Card Polly's Paper Studio 06

The lovely sentiment is stacked over a doily image and additional paper layers. Actual vintage buttons are a last but not least embellishment on this old fashioned inspired card.

A Moment in Time Birthday Card with Video Tutorial

Standard

Hey there and happy Wednesday! Ginny here to share a Birthday card with gorgeous Really Reasonable Ribbon.

Mixing plaids and gingham? Don’t mind if I do.

Adding spiral stamens really bulks up a flower arrangement and loopy string bows fills it in.

More flowers is always the right answer.

I’ve added a die cut banner with metal clip for the front of this card and finished the inside with coordinating paper patterns.

Please enjoy this video tutorial on how I created this card….

You Warm My Heart Llama Mini Album with Authentique

Standard

Well hello there Peeps and happy Llama Day! Hahah . I’m sharing a super sweet mini album I created with Alpine by Authentiqe and let me tell you how much I love this collection!!! Llamas and plaid. What’s not to love?

You Warm My Heart Llama Mini Album Polly's Paper Studio 01

Awwwww look at that sweet llama.  The image is the inspiration for this album. It’s layered up with the patterned papers, die cuts, flowers, ribbon, twine, chipboard, sequins, pearls, and fun winter themed charms.

You Warm My Heart Llama Mini Album Polly's Paper Studio 02

The images here are the cut aparts and they are so fun. I wanted to keep the whole image and still have room for pictures and journaling so I added them as tip-ins.

You Warm My Heart Llama Mini Album Polly's Paper Studio 03

Once the tip-ins are folded out you can see the first pages also have pockets with large tags.

You Warm My Heart Llama Mini Album Polly's Paper Studio 04

These pages also have pockets but they’re on the sides. More tags to pull out created with the companion patters. I wanted to use this sledding image here but it was too wide. The solution  was to clip it into 2 sections then add it as two pieces. I love how it turned out!

You Warm My Heart Llama Mini Album Polly's Paper Studio 011

It’s so much fun to create interactive pages. These have twist tie closures. You can see here now that we’re in the middle pages that I’ve added eyelets to the spine. Not only does this give me a place to tie on the charms….but it helps the book pages to be nicely  secured.

You Warm My Heart Llama Mini Album Polly's Paper Studio 05

Once the flaps are open it shows the complimentary patterns inside. What a great place for pictures and journaling.

You Warm My Heart Llama Mini Album Polly's Paper Studio 07

I just can’t get enough of these fun images so I used them to create pockets for more pull out tags. The smaller matted sections would be a great place to add memories.

The last set of pages have fun little flaps secured with clips. Simply flip the flap to reveal more area to scrapbook in.

You Warm My Heart Llama Mini Album Polly's Paper Studio 09

Lining them with coordinating papers makes them extra fun.

Larger tags are tucked into the pockets and also fold up so you can add even more pictures.

Happy first of the month Peeps. You know what that means. The all new Ribbon Club Assortment comes out today hooray!!!!!

I’m so happy to see this bright fresh combination because I’m getting in the mood for Spring and these are just perfect!

I’m using the gorgeous purple from the collection to accent this card.

It coordinates so perfectly with the flowers.

The Burlap String in violet adds a lovely texture to this arrangement.

I’ve added some foliage die cut from crisp white paper to lighten up the flower collection.

Altered chipboard and sequins adds loads of depth and dimension.

Last but not least some purpley Prills for the final accent.

Valentine Pocket with Tag / Video Tutorial

Standard

Happy Thursday Peeps!  It’s officially February now so it’s okay that I’m a little crazy about Valentines.  Like I would have my entire house draped in hearts and flowers and treats everywhere. Sadly I live in the house of boys so they would not appreciate balloons and confetti everywhere right?

I can however create pockets and fill them with sweet little tags…..

Valentine Pocket and Tags Polly's Paper Studio 02 Isn’t this super retrolicious?????? This is the Forever My Always Collection from Pebbles.

Valentine Pocket and Tags Polly's Paper Studio 03 Even without the tags it’s pretty dang cute. Anddddd there’s room in the pocket for treats!

I Love You Valentine Typewriter Greeting Card

Standard

Hey there! It’s Ginny here to share a very fun and whimsical Valentine greeting card.

I mean who doesn’t like a vintage typewriter? So much better than a text message or email right?
I was lucky to have some patterned paper in my stash that had type keys and the background was red so it was a perfect match!
This sweet little sentiment was part of that same paper pad from Martha Stewart. The crisp white doily helps to break up the busy patterns.
I chose the flowers and the polka dot ribbon to coordinate.
One more flowers for the top and a tiny little love mail charm.
Last but not least a few blingy pearls.
Finishing this chippie could not have been easier….it’s just a metallic paint in graphite. So Simple!

The World is a Canvas Greeting Card with Graphic 45 Nature Sketchbook Video

Standard

Hey there all my Peeps! I’m excited to share that I’m starting my New Years crafty goal for 2018 which is trying different color combinations and design styles.  This card has a blue and green color scheme which is a bit outside my comfort zone…but I love how it turned out! I’m using the Nature Sketchbook Collection from Graphic 45 which is one of my favorites.

The World is a Canvas Greeting Card Polly's Paper Studio G45 01

It’s sooooo green lol.  Just kidding…I really do like it.

The World is a Canvas Greeting Card Polly's Paper Studio G45 02

The idea behind this card was nature which was easy to accomplish using this collection.

The World is a Canvas Greeting Card Polly's Paper Studio G45 06

These Wild Orchid Crafts are dreamy. I did not hold back with the layering lol. There is a sweet little fussy cut butterfly tucked in and pretty chevron striped bow to fill in this arrangement. A bit of netting adds texture.

The World is a Canvas Greeting Card Polly's Paper Studio G45 03

Prills help to bring the colors in to the center focal image which is a cut apart from the collection. I just love the sentiment.

The World is a Canvas Greeting Card Polly's Paper Studio G45 04

This corner has a larger butterfly, more of the flowers and netting, and gold twine tied in a simple loopy bow.

The World is a Canvas Greeting Card Polly's Paper Studio G45 05

This clip was given a face lift with alcohol ink and now it coordinates perfectly! The chipboard frame is finished with antique gold embossing powder for a subtle shine. A bit of messy sewing lines adds texture to the patterned paper.

The World is a Canvas Greeting Card Polly's Paper Studio G45 08

The edges of the papers are all distressed and scrunched up which is a subtle..but effective accent. Look at all the dimension I was able to get with the layers.

The World is a Canvas Greeting Card Polly's Paper Studio G45 07 I’d say this is a good start to my new crafty goal. No pink in sight lol.
