Winter Wonderland Shabby Chic Christmas Clock

Standard

Morning Peeps! I’m up on this cold and dark morning thankful not to be out camping with the boys….I hope they were warm in their sleeping bags.  I’m dropping in to share my very first Clock assemblage. Winter Wonderland Shabby Chic Christmas Clock.I don’t even know why I waited so long except to say that maybe I was just too lazy to take it outside to spray paint it??? Anyhoo I used more bits and pieces from my 2015 Shabby Chic Pink Creativity Kit and added some extra yummy embellies and trims : )

Winter Wonderland Clock shabby Chic Christmas Home Decor 1Isn’t it dreamy???? I love every detail on this clock : )

Winter Wonderland Clock shabby Chic Christmas Home Decor 2I built up a nice arrangement with glittery branches, Petaloo and White Magnolias from Really Reasonable Ribbon and tucked in feathers and a glittery snowflake. There is also Gray Plaid Ribbon which coordinates so perfectly!!!

Winter Wonderland Clock shabby Chic Christmas Home Decor 3Tucked into the background is a lovely church image from the 2015 Shabby Chic Pink Creativity Kit. I’ve also included a couple of tiny shiny ornaments.

Winter Wonderland Clock shabby Chic Christmas Home Decor 5This side of the winter scene has the bottle brush trees which I am just swooning over : ) That tiny glittery church ornament takes center stage and reminds me of a little Putz house.

Winter Wonderland Clock shabby Chic Christmas Home Decor 4Last but not least a super poofy bow with more of the plaid ribbon, painted jingle bells, glittery snowflake, twine and crystal moon charms.

Okay that’s all for me….wishing you all a happy and productive day with lotsof time to be creative : ) G

Halloween Stand Display with Petaloo and Crafty Secrets

Standard

Hey there peeps! Happy Saturday to you all! I’m just dropping in to share a fun Halloween Stand Display I created with the Crafty Secrets Creating With Vintage Halloween CD.

Halloween Stand Display 1Not conventional Halloween colors….but it sure has a festive holiday vibe.

Halloween Stand Display 2I added the pumpkin face image to a sweet little scalloped tin then created a “wreath” with black netting ribbon and loads of Petaloo flowers and berry picks.

Halloween Stand Display 3Can’t go wrong with Black Plaid ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon for a generous loopy bow. I also tucked in some  Antique Gold Burlap String bows to break up the dark colors and to match the flowers.

Halloween Stand Display 4For additional detail I printed the tag sheet from the cd extra tiny and joined them to make a fun banner shape then worked it around and under the wreath.

Halloween Stand Display 5To give the image a nice finished edge I topped it off with Tim Holtz black tinsel trim.

Funny story about this project I think we can all relate to. As crafters we are always on the look out for great bases to start our projects with. We have a local discount store that I peruse occasionally to find unique shapes or objects I can layer up with paper and trimmings. Such is the case with this nice wooden stand. So I listed the project in the online shop and it sold right away to one of my fav peeps. In my efforts to locate a box I could ship it in…I neglected to take the sticker from the discount store off the back. Boy is she gonna get a laugh when she sees it. But hey…it happens to all of us and we learn everyday…so the moral of the story is…make fabulous art….but remember to check for stickers before you ship sold items lol.

Okay that’s all for me…wishing you all a happy and productive day with lots of time to be creative : ) G

Celebrating World’s Fair with Graphic 45

Standard

Hello there Peeps! Don’t ya just love when a new paper line come out with great patterns and colors that are fun to work with a photograph beautifully? I know I do. That’s just what you get with World’s Fair. It’s really gorgeous and a delight to work with! I created a Tag Book in a Box to highlight my fav images and patterns then loaded it down with embellishments and flowers and ribbon trim.

There is nothing more fun to make than tags. It’s an excuse to pull out every pattern in the collection. And you get to add all the fun trimmy bits and chipboard. I created these tags to work as an unconventional scrapbook just by adding pictures and journaling to the backs of the tags. It can be stored in the box and displayed on a shelf or table.

Authentic Tag with Crafty Secrets

Standard

Hey there Paper Peeps! I’m dropping in today to share a project I created with printable paper and images from Crafty Secrets. I love a tag..and if the tag has a bird…and if the bird has a crown…well how can it get any better? Easy..top it with beautiful flowers and ribbon trim.

Authentic Tag 2I printed the large tag image….then layered it on a 110lb cardstock base so it would support the bulky flowers and trim.

Authentic Tag 3Gorgeous White Roses and Delicate Stitched Satin Aqua Ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon and sugared blooms from Petaloo are perfect for this vintagy tag .

Authentic Tag 4I added an eyelet so the twine wouldn’t pull through.  The acrylic film ribbon from Tim Holtz if topped off with coordinating buttons.

Authentic Tag 1There are lots of foam spacers between the layers giving this tag loads of dimension.

Crafty Secrets Supplies….Creating with Vintage Patterns, Digital Birds and Blossoms printables, Chicken Farm Paper.

Okay that’s all for me…..off to see what kind of trouble I can get into. Wishing you all a happy and productive day with lots of time to be creative : ) G

Vintage Children in Window Card

Standard

Well hello there Peeps! I’ve lost tack of what day it is as my boys are still away at Philmont Boyscout Camp.   Seems like they’ve been gone forever : (  I’m pretty sure it’s a weekend day though because Scooter the cat woke me up at 5 am for no reason and he never does that during the week lol.  I’m dropping in with my mug of Traverse City cherry coffee to share a card I created for Crafty Secrets.  Vintage Children in Window Card.

window children 1 This is the shabby chicest card I’ve made in quite a while.

window children 4Maybe I did…maybe I didn’t go overboard with the flowers and ribbon….but I think it’s pretty dreamy.

window children 3This is a combination of  Petaloo and Mulberry flowers.  The leaves were cut with a Sizzix die. I’ll admit it took awhile to become friends with this particular die. I wish I could say I pick up every craft tool and am instantly an expert at it. I’ve given up on this die a few times and threw it back in the bin…but perseverance paid off and now I think I can work it successfully. I used white paper and inked it with Tim Holltz Crushed Olive Distress Ink. I added a few loopy bows of Ivory Burlap String to fill in the arrangement.

window children 2This bow is created with Pink Chevron Stripe on Twill ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon. Another Mulberry rose and a few tiny buds tucked in.

window children 5Loving the dimensional effect from all the layered flowers and trim : )   Printed papers and image are from Crafty Secrets…Wild Roses Paper, Birds and Bloom Digital Paper Kit, CD2 Creating with Vintage Illustrations.

Okay that’s all for me…whatever day it is..I’ll be back in the shop playing paper to escape the heat. Wishing you all a happy and productive day with lots of time to be creative : ) G

Botanicabella Seahorse Card with Graphic 45

Standard

Hey there Peeps. You know when you’re sooo excited that you could run around in circles? Well you can just picture me doing that when they released a Deluxe Collectors Edition of Botanicabella. One of my all time favorites!! They’ve added new cut aparts to the familiar patterns and images so it’s even better! To be honest..I actually still had some in my hoard because I couldn’t bear to use it and not have it anymore.  What can I say I get emotionally attached to my paper pretties. I created a card..and instead of going my usual Botanicabella plan or orange and butterflies….I went with green and seahorses….and I am swooning over this card!

Botanicabella Seahorse Card 1Layers and layers of Botanicabella papers and vintage image all matted with crisp black cardstock.

Botanicabella Seahorse Card 2I finished the inside with the coordinating paper patterns.
