Little Birdie Loves You Greeting Card

Standard

Hey there Peeps! I’m dropping in this morning to share a sweet greeting card that’s perfect for just about any occasion with a simple greeting, gorgeous bird image, altered chipboard and of course ribbon trims from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

Little Birdie Loves You Greeting Card.

This color combination is really on trend but I’m keeping the vintage vibe going with the large floral background and details like the pearl headed pins.

This bow is created with Chevron Striped Twill in Pink topped off with Ivory Burlap String.

The altered chipboard Curly Cages bird cage is extra girly with the curvy lines and helps to separate the busy patterns.

Okay that’s all for me. Wishing everyone a happy and productive day : ) G

Instead of my usual button with twine I topped off this bow with additional flowers to balance the heavy arrangement at the bottom.Find Joy Every Day All Occasion Greeting Card Polly's Paper Studio 01

This sweet sentiment was nice and big so it really is the focal image for this card.

April Blog Hopping with RRR

Hey there! Time again for another fun hop at RRR.

10308279_717292838322738_8108547784177054821_nWe’re sharing the projects we created with the Aqua Ribbon Club Aqua and Coral Mix.

516b6-aqua2band2bcoral2bmixYou know I love these fresh bright colors! One of my favorite combinations : )

You should be coming to me from Gloria. If you’re just joining in you’ll want to head on over to the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog to start at the beginning.

So I’m sharing many projects today as I’ve created a really great new Butterfly and Clocks Tags Digital Collage Sheet and once I printed it I was having so much fun I couldn’t stop. The great thing about this sheet besides the fact that it’s a Dollar Download Item is that you can create 3 finished tags with the sheet just as it is. Or if you’re like me…you can add extra emebllies to incorporate your own personal style.

Butterfly Clock Tags 1 Polly's Paper Studio

The first one on the left is created just by snipping out the images and assembling the layers.  I added some 110 lb cardstock to the back as well to make them more sturdy. Topped off with my RRR trim it’s gorgeous and ready to add to a gift or to label a baked treat. The one on the right has some mixed media supplies added to antique the images a bit and then was assembled with foam spacers between the layers.  More trims, a metal eyelet and lace kicks it up a notch.

Butterfly Clock Tags 2 Polly's Paper Studio

These tags have the same images but I’ve added chipboard, dimensional flowers, and metal embellies.

Butterfly Clock Tags 3 Polly's Paper Studio

I’ve taken the tags a bit further now and added one to a card base with simple cardstock and an embossed texture. I’ve wound the ribbons and lace around to create a coordinating background that shows off the focal tag as the centerpiece.  And last but not least…my favorite.  I dug in my stash just a bit to find some patterned papers that matched the butterfly and created a larger tag to adhere a die cut doily, the printed and snipped images, flowers and more of the beautiful RRR trims.

I could have kept going all day as there are so many great uses for tags.  And at only $1 for the download file  I’ll bet you’ll have a hard time stopping too!

Your next stop in the hop is Judy!

Okay that’s all for me. Wishing all of you a happy and productive day : ) G

Beautiful Clock All Occasion Greeting Card

Standard

Hey there Peeps!  So you know how when you have elements of a project come together just right?  Don’t you love when that happens?  When I created this project I was inspired by the clock chipboard embellishment. I checked out some digis from my shop and low and behold the clock image with the gorgeous vintage rose fit perfectly. I mean it was like meant to be!!!

With the chipboard and image picked out I gathered flowers with the same peachy pink tones and fairly neutral background papers.

I’ve just been working on a major reorganization of my shop and I just cleaned up all the ribbons so I knew right away that I had this shade.

Since the layout turned out to be a bit bottoms heavy I added some metal keys, another flower and leaf, and twine to anchor it with a vintage button.

Thoughts of Spring Greeting Card

Standard

Hey there Paper Peeps!  I know I have thoughts of Spring as it’s been a long cold Winter. I created this card with bright cheerful colors, and a gorgeous selection of flowers.

I’ve chosen shades of purple for this card inspired by the gorgeous flowers.  Sadly I am not a very good gardener so all my flowers have to be Petaloo.

Think Spring Vintage Inspired Greeting Card Holiday Home Decor Polly's Paper Studio 02

Oh my goodness there is so much texture here!!!! I’ve layered many types of flowers here and tucked in ribbon and twine and coordinating butterflies.

Think Spring Vintage Inspired Greeting Card Holiday Home Decor Polly's Paper Studio 03

I’ve tucked in some altered chipboard and die cuts to enhance the floral theme.  These colors are bright and the patterns are busy so I used a solid purple cardstock to act as borders. Think Spring Vintage Inspired Greeting Card Holiday Home Decor Polly's Paper Studio 04

Additional flowers and butterfly here to balance the other arrangement.  The paper has been tattered and stitched and I added pearly accents for detail.

This paper from Graphic 45 was a nearly perfect match. I did alter the fairy just by using watercolor pencils and sparkle pens to color her wings and dress.

Card To Welcome Baby& New Challenge at RRR

Standard

Hey there Peeps. We’re starting a new challenge at RRR today and the theme this time is Celebrate with Ribbon or Trim ….which you know I am all about lol.

I created a card to celebrate a new baby. I think it would look really lovely displayed in a nursery after the baby arrives.  Prop it on a shelf with some books and vintage baby toys.

precious-baby-boy-greeting-card-pollys-paper-studio-01

This little puppy image was the inspiration for the card. I took the color cue from the border and incorporated the blues and greens.

precious-baby-boy-greeting-card-pollys-paper-studio-04

So many glorious flowers all arranged with coordinating ribbon, Prills, spiral stamens, and twine.

precious-baby-boy-greeting-card-pollys-paper-studio-03

A tiny metal charm hangs on this side and has more of the Prills and twine.  I used a tiny clip to attach a sweet label over fishtail shapes in matching paper patterns.

precious-baby-boy-greeting-card-pollys-paper-studio-02

Metal mailing tags and additional flowers to balance the arrangement on the top with altered chippies that create a lovely border and sentiment.

Tattering the edges adds a lot of texture and spacers between the layers creates depth.  This card would make a great addition to the nursery décor.
