Life is Sweet Pallate Easel Display for Art-C with Snapguide

Hey there Peeps! I was recently asked by Art-C to create a project using their new Pallates.  And you know me I’m up for any challenge. I was expecting a painters type pallate….but when the supply box came….I was just tickled pink to see the palates were like shipping pallates. HOW FUN IS THAT?????? I am so loving these great little sturdy wooden pallates. And they come in different sizes to the possibilities are really endless to mix and match them.  Which is what I did….to create an easel style display that is sorta vintagy and rustic and maybe even a little beachy?

Altered Butterfly Canvas

Well hello there Paper Peeps! I’ve got a special project to share today. I’ve created an altered art canvas to hang in my new studio space….just a little something to inspire me while I’m working.

IMG_4086-001I used lots of fabulous supplies from Canvas Corp and 7 Gypsies.

IMG_4093I’m quite thrilled at how dimensional it turned out.

IMG_4089I added fussy cut butterflies and some inspirational  words to the little frames then layered them over lots of paper pretties that are well inked of course.

IMG_4090There’s about elebenty hundred flowers here and some Spiral Stamens from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

IMG_4092I pleated the canvas trim and added a fun little banner. There’s also some pretty braided twine and eyelash yarn to hide the seam.

IMG_4098Look at all those yummy layers!!!!

IMG_4095I hope you love this canvas as much as I do!!! I’ll be sharing my new studio space for the very first time on the 29th…I CAN’T HARDLY WAIT!!!! Until then I’m wishing you all a happy and productive day with lots of time to be creative : ) G

Vintage Halloween Mini Album

Hello there Paper Peeps!  We had so much fun last night in class creating spooktacular Vintage Halloween Mini Albums. My Tuesday night girls were up to their usual mischief and shenanigans lol.  Despite the mayhem….we all finished our albums and enjoyed some tasty snacks.

IMG_3799IMG_3801IMG_3802IMG_3803IMG_3805I created this album with layers of patterned papers from Graphic 45, vintage images, Halloween die cuts, ribbon trims, and super fun embellies like a giant sparkly spider, skull charms, and glittery flowers to name but a few.  The base of the book is very chunky and heavy with a great textured edge. There are a few kits available for this album that are shipped with all the papers pre-cut and ready to assemble. Vintage Halloween Mini Album Kit.

I used fabulous trims from Really Reasonable Ribbon for this kit: Black Gingham, Orange Gingham, Spider Web.

Okay..that’s all for me….I’m heading to the shop to see what kinda trouble I can get into. Wishing you all a happy and productive day with lots of time to be creative.

Graphic 45 Steampunk Stashbuster Collage

Hey there Peeps! It’s my day to share a project at Really Reasonable Ribbon and I’ve got a very special framed collage that I created using lots and lots of scraps from my G45 scrap and salvage box. Yes you heard me right….I have a (gimongus) basket filled with a very organized system of keeping every single  little scrap. I can’t let go of even the tiniest piece.

IMG_3237I was going for a very steampunk look….so my main image is from Steampunk Debutante….then I layered her in with lots of Olde Curiosity Shoppe and French Country. I’ve added a few other vintagy images and beautiful poofy bows made with Black Circus Dots on Satin Ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

IMG_3239This was a great place to add the little book I made in my Mini Vintage Book Tutorial. I finished off my tags with the Metal Staples Lock Plates. There’s also loads of flowers, butterflies and gears.

IMG_3248I used about elebenty hundred foam dot spacers to make this a very dimensional collage. There are also many Dusty Attic chipboard pieces.

IMG_3238IMG_3244After trimming out the flowers…I cut between the petals so I could curl them up.  The butterflies got a double layer of images to be be extra poofy.

IMG_3241I’m going to add this collage to my foyer….it’ll match my little dresser we use to store our gloves and scarves and some big chunky candlesticks.

I hope you all enjoy a happy and productive day and find some time to be creative : ) G

Christmas Card…..Try Try Again

I’m going to share a card I created yesterday in the shop…then I’m going to share a little story about it at the end.

IMG_2327IMG_2329So whats the story behind the card???? I have recently been trying to learn how to use the image processing programs to create my own digital images without much luck as I am not a technology friendly girl. : ( But on Monday determined to figure it out I spent the day glued to the computer until I had a few basic functions figured out. So the image with the Santa’s list, wreath, bird, and calendar element was my 3rd try at bat. I’m pretty happy with how it turned out if I do say so myself. Of course I add pretty patterned papers, and some sparkly silver embellishments, as well as the fabulous trims from Really Reasonable Ribbon. I chose the Chevron Stripe in Celery, Red and Silver Stripe and some Sweetheart Blooms for accent.

I hope you all have a happy and productive  day and find some time to be creative. : )G

I’m entering this card in the Festive Friday Challenge.

For my project I choose to make a fall-fabulous mini album with pockets and tags.

IMG_2239This paper works just great with the assortment! IMG_2234I added pockets to the outside cover to hold festive fall bingo cards. They would be great for pics and journaling. I love the contrast of the wood patterned paper and the lace trim : )
