Valentine Pocket with Tag / Video Tutorial

Happy Thursday Peeps!  It’s officially February now so it’s okay that I’m a little crazy about Valentines.  Like I would have my entire house draped in hearts and flowers and treats everywhere. Sadly I live in the house of boys so they would not appreciate balloons and confetti everywhere right?

I can however create pockets and fill them with sweet little tags…..

 Isn’t this super retrolicious?????? This is the Forever My Always Collection from Pebbles.

 Even without the tags it’s pretty dang cute. Anddddd there’s room in the pocket for treats!

Retro Valentine Creativity Kit with Projects and Video Tutorial

OMGosh Peeps I am super excited today to be sharing the new Retro Valentine Deluxe Creativity Kit 2018. You all know how much I love to create kits and to take one for myself to make projects with. What makes this kit deluxe? It’s got all the fabulous papers and images and bows you’re all used to seeing in the kits created by Polly’s Paper Studio….and it also has loads of extra fun holiday embellies like doilies, tinsel, ric rac, flowers, clothespins, brad, bling strip, and red glittery die cut hearts : ) I am practically giddy.

I had so much fun creating these 6 projects and I have loads of supplies left from the kit to make at least 2 more.

Jolly Snowmen Creativity Kit and Projects

Hooray hooray it’s kit time again.  Oh how I love to create a kit. And I love even more taking a kit for myself to use to whip up some projects.  This time it’s a Jolly Snowmen Deluxe Creativity Kit 2017. I’ve included fabulous retro images, holiday patterned papers, pre-tied bows and a sleigh full of extra fun embellies like tinsel trim, twine, jingle bells, silvery snowflakes, bling, die cut glitter stars, and sequins.

All I want for Christmas Tag Set BoBunny

Hey there  Peeps! Ginny here to share a very sweet Christmas tag set. Carousel Christmas has fast become my favoritest holiday collection!  Creating with it has been such a joy.

All I Want for Christmas Tag Set

When I started, I really only planned to make one really large, detailed tag….but while the collection was on the work table I couldn’t help myself but to make two more.

 Must add all the layers!!!! So many great images to fussy cut (which I love to do by the way.) which gives such awesome texture and depth.

 Blingy bits and ribbon are a must have on all fun and festive tags!

 I used a fair amount of spacers to build up this arrangement and keep it from looking like a big hot Christmas mess.  The ephemera pack had lovely coordinating ribbons in two sizes and who am I to say no to ribbon? never gonna happen….  The larger bow is topped off with a Double Dot Brad.

 

I’ve added a die cut doily to soften the edges as well as a bit of cheesecloth.  A couple of sequins and some faux snow accent and this tag is ready to add to a gift or a tree.

 Did I mention bonus tags? These were really fun to create and even though they are smaller…they really pack a lot of punch with all the holiday details.

Christmas Pocket with Tags

Happy Saturday Peeps! I’m up and at em this morning so I can get a few things done before we have a family fun adventure day hooray! I’m just popping in to share a sweet Christmasy pocket filled with gorgeous little tags.

Isn’t it just so festive? Flowers and ribbon and jingle bells …oh my!

It’s really lovely even when the tags are taken out. There’s room in the pocket for mementos and pictures. Wouldn’t this be a fun nontraditional scrapbook?

On the back is a large sentiment that coordinates perfectly!

Three large tags inside are a great place to add gift cards.

The smaller tags are super duper adorable.  All the tags have die cut doilies and little sentiments and a coordinating twine looped through a metal eyelet.

All New Vintage Halloween Creativity Kit and Projects

Hey there Peeps! We’ve been getting a lot of questions about why we don’t have a Halloween creativity kit this year. We did…it just sold out really quickly. So I’ve put together a new kit with different papers and images and fun embellies like twine, tinsel trim, wooden clothespins, paper doilies, and a pearly bling strip.

Hey there Peeps! Whose ready for a fabulous new Creativity Kit. I am. I am . I am.  I do so love to make up a kit then treat myself to one so I can get my craft on. Pockets w/ Tags Petaloo~Maja Design Spotlight

Hey there Petaloo Peeps! So very excited to share the projects I created for the Petaloo ~ Maja Design product spotlight.

 

I decided to create favors since every party is more funner when you get to take a treat home. These pockets have tags but there’s still plenty of room to tuck in a little gifty.

 

These pockets are created with the gorgeous patterned papers from Maja Design.

Pink Pocket

I’m using the same basic layout for all of the pockets and layering them on burlap for a consistent look. The natural fiber adds a nice texture as well.

A tiny crocheted doily is a great shabby chic accent and creates a nice base to layer on the beautiful flowers.

I’ve lined the pockets with a coordinating patterned paper so it will look just as nice without the tags and treats.

Tags are a great place to add a picture or some journaling on the back. Or maybe even affix a gift card?

Purple Pocket

Stitching around the pockets is a nice subtle detail and adds structural stability to the pocket so you can fill it up without worrying about it coming apart.

I’ve tucked in some pearly picks coordinating ribbon to enhance the flowers.

Vintage buttons are added to the top of the pockets.

Adding a matching bow and flower to the top of the tag helps to bring the balance to the top of the pocket.

Blue Pocket

All of the paper layers have been distressed and inked.

I’ve tucked in a generous band of die cut paper border to add detail to the pocket.

A layer of 110 lb cardstock is added to the back to give a little more sturdiness to the pocket.

Fussy cut images and clocks are adhered to the tags along with a bit of twine strung through.
