Valentine Pocket with Tag / Video Tutorial

Happy Thursday Peeps!  It’s officially February now so it’s okay that I’m a little crazy about Valentines.  Like I would have my entire house draped in hearts and flowers and treats everywhere. Sadly I live in the house of boys so they would not appreciate balloons and confetti everywhere right?

I can however create pockets and fill them with sweet little tags…..

Valentine Pocket and Tags Polly's Paper Studio 02 Isn’t this super retrolicious?????? This is the Forever My Always Collection from Pebbles.

Valentine Pocket and Tags Polly's Paper Studio 03 Even without the tags it’s pretty dang cute. Anddddd there’s room in the pocket for treats!

Together Greeting Card

Just popping in to share a sweet and simply styled greeting card today that would be so perfect for a house warming, or anniversary, or wedding.

I’ve gathered elements from the Vintage Blessings Collection-Bits and Pieces from Simple Stories and layered them up to create a charming little arrangement.

This paper is Cedar Lane from American Crafts. I just had it in my stash and I was so thrilled with how well it coordinated.

I’ve topped off the arrangement with a small cluster of die cuts and secured them with the Tiny Attacher. Last but not least a small sprinkle of coordinating sequins.

Hope you enjoy the rest of your day : ) G

Cards With Tags Day Two

As promised more cards made with tags and chipboard embellishments.

This card has more of the paper from the packs in my Etsy Shop. I also used a sheet music vintage image from Graphic’s Fairy.

The pretty little chipboard pieces from American crafts are so bright and colorful. I aged them up a little bit by inking them. There’s a paper doily too and ribbon trim and button.

I used my border punch for this one to give it extra detail. The ticket is from Tim Holtz.

I added some vintage buttons and creme colored trim.

More of the craft paper layers.

This tag has a spool top from Pink Paislee. : )

But what to do with the tags???

I felt compelled yesterday to start using what has become a sizable stash of chipboard pieces. I began layering them on some tags that I had covered in paper some time ago. I had finished a fair amount of them but what to do with them???? Inspiration came today and I spent a fun day using them to embellish cards : )

Aren’t these just the cutest chipper and cheerful summery cards?

The chipboard bits are from American Crafts. They have all sorts of super fun shapes and some are even flocked!

I used a Tim Holtz ticket and an inked doily along with some vintage buttons. The sentiment would work great for an all occasion card.

This card has a lovely sheet music section made from a vintage image on Graphic’s Fairy.

Loving all the bright colors here : ) Especially when combined with my favorite craft paper borders.

I was using similar elements on each card….but got totally different looks.

This giant chipboard flower is so pretty. Don’t forget to ink the edges of your chipboard when working on vintage projects! The fun with these little cards is getting to use up mismatched leftover bits and give them a new life.

I used quite a few sheets out of my new paper packs in my Etsy Shop. They measure 6 x 4 inches and have 16 sheets in each pack…perfect for cards with lot’s of layers. They also work great in your Project 365 and scrapbooks! There’s not too many left as they have been a big hit in the brick and mortar shop. You can check them out by clicking on the link on the right…it’ll take you right to Polly’s on Etsy. I’ll be working on putting more together this weekend so check back for  new varieties.

I have lot’s more of these sweet little cards to share tomorrow…but I have to give D.H. his computer back. lol Hope you all have a nice evening. G
