Harvest Blessings Greeting Card

Standard
Hey there Peeps! Ginny here dropping in the the most falliest fall card I have ever made.
I’ve got a very traditional turkey image layered over a cut apart tag and stacked on a pretty white doily and patterned papers.
I’m just going to call it right now….this taffeta ribbon is my favorite for fall 2017. It’s like orange…but sooooo vintagy. And it makes a lovely poofy bow.

I’m still working in the Autumn Harvest Ribbon Club selection and pulled out the gorgeous crocheted lace. A little twine wrapped around is the perfect finishing touch.

Really Reasonable Ribbon~Tangerine Taffeta, Antique Gold Burlap String, Scor-Tape,

Okay that’s all for me. Wishing everyone a happy and productive day with lots of time to be creative!

Give Thanks Owl Wreath Greeting Card

Standard

Hello there Paper Peeps! Just popping in to share that we are starting a new challenge at Really Reasonable Ribbon today! The theme for this challenge is Anything Goes With Ribbon or Trim. Which is basically awesome right?

I’ve created a little greeting card with an owl in a fall wreath.

I’m quite in shock at how many plaids and checkered patterned papers I was able to work into this card lol.

il_570xN.1289617077_8d8g

I added some lovely flowers that matched the ones on the wreath sticker.

More plaid in the bow….because why not?

I worked in quite a lot of spacers to add dimension and to keep the patterns from getting all squished together.

Okay now it’s your turn to create an Anything Goes with Ribbon or Trim project and link up with us to play along!

That’s all for me. Wishing everyone a happy and productive day : ) G

Hello Fall Greeting Card

Standard

Happy first of the month Peeps! I’m sharing my first project created with the new Autumn Harvest Ribbon Club Assortment.

I am sooooo loving this collection of warm rich colors and patterns. While I’m not quite ready to give up summer..these ribbons make me dreamy for cool crisp air and warm sweaters and hot spiced cider.

This sweet fox image is also welcoming fall with a fun sentiment banner and perfectly coordinated patterned papers.

I especially loved this Tangerine Taffeta Ribbon. It’s just a bit vintagy looking and not super bright like regular orange. I layered on the pretty crocheted lace and topped them off with buttons.

Just look at this garden of fall inspired flowers!!!!!!!!! I am so in love : ) I’ve got this arrangement accented with the tiny acorns and burlap string.

I will be getting at least one more of this collection as it’s just too perfect for all of the projects I’m planning for fall.

Fall Harvest Card

Standard

Hey there Paper Peeps! Ginny here to share a Fall Harvest Greeting Card inspired by the super gorgeous burlap flowers from Petaloo. They have such a wonderful texture that goes perfectly with the warmer colors and images of the season.

The leaves are really lovely with the iconic shapes and colors of Fall. I layered them up to create a base for the larger bloom.

To create balance I added a second smaller grouping with a little loopy twine bow.

Spacers were added between the paper layers to add depth and to keep the busy patterns from running together.

This bottom corner is anchored with a coordinating bow and additional twine loops.

This combination of flowers reminds me of a lovely Fall wreath.

To get the layers I wanted without all the bulk on top I tucked a few of the flatter flowers under in image and added some on top.

Blessings Harvest Greeting Card

Standard

Hey there Paper Peeps! Well we are starting to have a few cooler days and a bit of crispness to the air. Fall is just around the corner and it’s one of my favorite times a year. Beautiful Fall wreaths full of richly colored leaves are an iconic seasonal decoration and is the inspiration for this card.
I started with a card base in the A2 size cut from chocolaty cardstock. I knew the leaves would create a lot of contrast and texture so I kept the background papers fairly neutral.

I used the Fall Leaves die to create a nice pile of leaves to assemble a generously filled in circle.  Inks and Stickles add detail to the leaves. This Blessings sentiment block is a nice contrast to the dark background.

I layered the wreath on to a French Pastry die cut from crisp white cardstock. An additional smaller French Pastry Tiny Doily die is centered over the wreath and given dimension  with chipboard spacers behind. It’s topped off with a metal rimmed mailing tag , wooden clothespin and beautiful bow of hand dyed silk.

Bending and shaping the individual leaves before securing gave the wreath a lovely full and dimensional look.
