By The Sea Mini Album

Standard

Hello there Paper Peeps…..I’m dropping in to share a mini album I created with lot’s of fabulous trims from Really Reasonable Ribbon and By the Sea Paper from Graphic 45. It also has pics of a chubby bald happy baby…..who is going to be 15 this week. So as you can image I’ve had the pictures awhile waiting for just the right paper and trim : )

IMG_3089We collected these starfish on our vacation to Daytona Beach where we took the pictures. Using them on the cover was a nice way to add mementos from our trip.  As you can see there is loads of trims on the rings: Brown Plaid , Capri Blue Diamond Satin, Turftan Brown Checkerboard Satin.. I also added some pretty little silvery seahorse charms.

IMG_3090There’s some tropical themed flowers, painted and inked chipboard embellishments, dimensional resin seashells, and trimmed elements from the By The Sea paper.

IMG_3094As you can see…I’ve layered elebenty hundred patterns….but all nicely separated by navy cardstock. I wanted to add extra tags for pics and journaling….so I created smaller pocket pages. I am loving the stamp banner held with Tim Holz metal clips.

IMG_3096These paper rosettes make the book a little bulky so I used really large binder rings.

fAs promised lot’s of pics of happy chubby bald baby : )

IMG_3098I added tags on the edges of the pages quite easily by attaching them between the paper layers. Isn’t that giant blue tropical fish cut out fabulous???? Shhhh don’t tell…it’s hiding a scratch on the picture.

IMG_3099-001I covered chipboard to make the base for the book….to support the weight of all the heavy embellishments.  This is truly a chunky album!

I was lucky to have some nautical resin bits and pieces like this ships wheel….I think they make great details. I also used many trimmed pieces to bring the paper patterns onto the pictures.

Okay…I know that was a lot of pictures…..but I had so much fun reminiscing about our  trip….that I  made the book with lot’s of pages.

I hope you all enjoy a happy and productive day and find some time to be creative : ) G

  1. Ginny…you have blown my mind! This is one of the most fabulous albums ever! I love all the matted pieces of patterned paper…really tied everything together. The tags make me want to squeal with delight, as do the pics of that happy little chubster! So many gorgeous details. I want to hold it in my hands and look at all of them. A masterpiece and an heirloom, for sure!

  2. OMG Ginny…I’m so in love with this album…..!!!! I looked at these papers last weekend and drooled over them and didn’t know how to start. We used to live near the beach when my kids were little and I’d love to get them out and put them in a book like this. Can you share the supply list for what G45 papers/stickers you used? I’d love a tutorial on etsy for it…hint hint…!!! Love…Love…Love this album….!!!!

  6. Really gorgeous! I’m asking everyone – how do you attach your cardstock to chipboard? I.e. do you use tape, glue (what kind), etc? Thanks, Ginny!

  7. This is one of the best By The Sea minis I’ve seen on the Internet! Your idea to mat all the layers really makes for a refined style that draws my attention. Love all the embellishments. Perfect choice of papers to showcase your family photos. Thanks for posting all the photos!
