Halloween Telephone Greeting Card with Amazing Paper Grace DOTM

Standard

Hello friends and welcome back! I’m creating today with the Amazing Paper Grace Club Kit for August.

Halloween Telephone Polly's Paper Studio 02

Yes I know some friends will say it’s too early for Halloween projects but I do not have any rules for crafting so I say create whatever makes you happy!

Halloween Telephone Polly's Paper Studio 01

This fun die creates an old fashioned rotary telephone. Does it show my age that I’ve actually used this style phone? I mean the real kind not the novelty ones they create now.

Halloween Telephone Polly's Paper Studio 03

I’m using the all new Masquerade collection from Authentique Papers for my patterns. The 6 x 6 paper pad is the perfect scale for smaller die cuts.

Halloween Telephone Polly's Paper Studio 04

Flowers created to coordinate are arranged with die cut foliage, loopy twine bows, and plaid ribbon.

Halloween Telephone Polly's Paper Studio 05

A second smaller arrangement for the top for balance. Glitter stars, metal charms, vintage buttons, and sequins are the perfect finishing touch.

Merry Snowman Card Christmas in July Amazing Paper Grace DOTM

Standard

Hello friends and welcome to the first project I’m sharing for Christmas in July for 2020! I love to get a jump start on creating holiday projects before the mad rush of shopping and cleaning and baking 11,000 cookies takes up all my time. Not to mention the cold and snow right? I’m so glad to be working with the Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month Club for July from Spellbinders.  When I first saw this beautiful Fanfare die I knew it would be a perfect base to layer up with fun and festive holiday details.

Merry Christmas Snowman Greeting Card Polly's Paper Studio 03

I’ve used it in place of my regular doily and cut it from gold mirror cardstock so I could add a little sparkle and shine to this card with a more warm color scheme.

Merry Christmas Snowman Greeting Card Polly's Paper Studio 02

This die is really perfectly sized for filling in a 5 x 6 1/2 inch card.

Merry Christmas Snowman Greeting Card Polly's Paper Studio 01

For a little extra drama I added all  the layers with spacers so there is so much dimension!

Merry Christmas Snowman Greeting Card Polly's Paper Studio 04

The set includes a small fan shape with an intricate cut out. I cut 2 from crisp white cardstock and used them to fill in this arrangement. There are a few small flowers here created with dies from the kit as well. They were super easy to cut and shape.

Merry Christmas Snowman Greeting Card Polly's Paper Studio 05

A few finishing details like faux snow, metal snowflake charms, and a vintage button are all this card needed to make it the perfect first project to kick off Christmas in July. I hope you can join me as I share loads of holiday inspiration all through July.

Don’t forget to check us out on Instagram. We have lots of projects that are not shared on the blog like my series of stamped and colored A2 greeting cards that are perfect to get a jump start on your holiday crafting.

1776 Americana Patriotic Greeting Card with Spellbinders Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month

Standard

Hello friends and crafty peeps! Ginny here with some summer holiday inspiration created with the Spellbinders Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month for June.  You all know I like to put my own spin on a design so I used this die set intended to be for creating calendars and made a fabulous background for my patriotic greeting card.

1776 Americana Patriotic Greeting Card Polly's Paper Studio 03

Because I knew I was going to want to layer quite a lot of patterned papers I cut the grid from crisp white cardstock to create a neutral place for your eye to land among these patterns. I also used a Stick-it adhesive on the back of the cardstock prior to cutting it to make it easier to adhere to my card.

1776 Americana Patriotic Greeting Card Polly's Paper Studio 03

The scale of the dot behind the die cut is very important to give the illusion of depth.

1776 Americana Patriotic Greeting Card Polly's Paper Studio 01 I’m using a dark navy solid cardstock to act as a border to separate the layers. There are also quite a few spacers between each section for depth and dimension.

1776 Americana Patriotic Greeting Card Polly's Paper Studio 05

I used the numbers included in the DOM to create a fun little date tag to add to my flower cluster.

1776 Americana Patriotic Greeting Card Polly's Paper Studio 04

I realllllly love the flowers dies included this month. Making flowers is one of my favorite crafting hobbies. How nice to be able to create a bouquet of blooms to coordinate perfectly with your projects!  And if you make them yourself you can add as many as you like. And I like a lot!!!! Okay let’s talk about that fish tail banner.  What a great layering element. You can add one or more to your cards and get so much detail.  I layered 2 here cut from patterned paper that’s perfect for the summer holidays.

I hope this fun and festive patriotic greeting card inspired you to check out the Spellbinders Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month.

Bohemian Inspired Greeting Card with Spellbinders Amazing Paper Grace Club Kit

Standard

Hello there friends and crafty peeps! Ginny here dropping in with the card I created with the Spellbinders Amazing Paper Grace May 2020 Club Kit. If you want a die that can work for a huge variety of projects then this is the die for you. There are so many possibilities with all the pieces. Use as few or as many as you like to create gorgeous layered projects.

I designed a card with a bit of a Bohemian vibe. I find that for summer my style shifts a bit to natural colors and warm rich wood grains so I found a printed journal card with those details and used it for inspiration.

Gather Greeting Card Polly's Paper Studio 01

The die is a generous size measuring 6 inches  across  so it’s the perfect size for a gorgeous square card. I wanted to add some matting layers so my card is 6  1/4.

Gather Greeting Card Polly's Paper Studio 02

I picked a pretty soft gray for the matting and used that throughout the card for a nice consistent look. Then came that beautiful green. I wanted that to show behind the die cut to create the pattern.

Gather Greeting Card Polly's Paper Studio 03

The center section was added with spacers to build dimension.  I’ve added a few layer’s here a coordinating plaid pattern and silver mirror cardstock.

Gather Greeting Card Polly's Paper Studio 04

This arrangement has a more natural look with simple flowers and loopy twine bows.

Gather Greeting Card Polly's Paper Studio 05

The printed journal card was all one piece so I just used my paper trimmer to cut the image off then snipped a dovetail shape onto the sentiment.  A layer of that wood grain is tucked in there as well for detail. A simple charm and vintage button are the perfect finishing touch!

Amazing Paper Grace Elegant Infinity Steampunk Greeting Card

Standard

Hey there friends and crafty peeps! Ginny here to share the project I created with the Amazing Paper Grace Elegant Infinity  Spellbinder’s Die of the Month .  If you love beautiful dies that are perfect for layering then this is a set you are sure to enjoy.

Steampunk Vintage Lady Greeting Card Polly's Paper Studio 02

When I saw that gorgeous center medallion it reminded me instantly of a steampunk inspired clockwork with exposed gears and mechanisms. I paired the die set with the Stamperia – Voyages Fantastiques collection.

Steampunk Vintage Lady Greeting Card Polly's Paper Studio 03

I wanted the Elegant Infinity die cut to be the focal point so I cut it from gold mirror cardstock.  The collection paper had a large clock image so I fussy cut it from the background and layered the circular portion on top.

Steampunk Vintage Lady Greeting Card Polly's Paper Studio 01

I chose a rich chocolate colored cardstock as my border combined with the collection papers and created dimensional layers with spacers between. This helps to keep the patterns from looking busy and helps to add depth.  The square portion of the die makes the perfect background cut from the same mirrored cardstock and helps to make the focal point the real showstopper.

Steampunk Vintage Lady Greeting Card Polly's Paper Studio 04

The Elegant Infinity set has dies included to create beautiful dimensional flowers. You all know that creating my own flowers for projects is one of my joys in life.  These were easy to make and now I have perfectly coordinated blooms from the collection papers. I used the larger flower die and cut  green cardstcock to act as leaves in my arrangement. I simply clipped them into two petal portions and tucked them into the arrangement. A little loopy twine and pretty ribbon makes for a nice full display.

Steampunk Vintage Lady Greeting Card Polly's Paper Studio 05

I always like to balance a larger arrangement of flowers with a smaller one so I’ve added the sweet blooms to the top corner. Last but not least a steampunk inspired vintage lady for the perfect finishing touch.

Amazing Paper GRace Die of the Month March

Here’s a look at that Elegant Infinity Die Of The Month. You can get details for this set here.  There are 9 dies included in this set so you can image so many different ways to use this collection to create unique designs.

Gingham Cherry Tag Greeting Card created for Amazing Paper Grace.

Standard

Hello there friends and crafty peeps!  I’m happy to be sharing the card I created for Amazing Paper Grace Dies but also a little sad as this is my final project for my August Guest Design Team  term.  I had such a great time creating with these beautifully styled and well made dies. If you haven’t checked them out yet I highly recommend you hop over to the Becca Feeken section at Spellbinders. I promise you will be just as impressed with them as I am.

Cherry Tag Greeting Card Polly's paper Studio 02

I’m using the Sweetheart Swirl and Nestablilities Hemstitch Oval dies for this card.

Cherry Tag Greeting Card Polly's paper Studio 03

You really can’t ask for a better scaled die for 5 x 6 1/2 inch cards. It just fits so well.

Cherry Tag Greeting Card Polly's paper Studio 01

I’ve layered the  oval onto the swirl so I could add a smaller tag as my focal point. Bonus is the gorgeous stitching lines. That  extra layer really adds so much detail.

Cherry Tag Greeting Card Polly's paper Studio 04

There’s a pretty arrangement of flowers here layered with some loopy twine bows and foliage.

Cherry Tag Greeting Card Polly's paper Studio 05

Last but not least is a shimmery bow of pink organza, metal birdcage charms, and pretty pearly accents.

I just want to give a quick but very heartfelt thanks to Becca for the  generous supply of dies to create with and for the opportunity to work with your amazing team for August.

Hello there friends and Crafty peeps. Dropping in today to share a card I created for Amazing Paper Grace using the  Venice Lace DieBlessed Greeting Card Polly's Paper Studio 02

Let me just tell you how amazing this die is! The square shape is perfect for 6 x 6 cards….which you all know is my favorite to make.

Blessed Greeting Card Polly's Paper Studio 03

I especially love that there’s some areas that are not as intricate so they show up well even on patterned papers.

Blessed Greeting Card Polly's Paper Studio 01

I was able to use the smaller pieces to layer under the sentiment. It’s a great way to fill in around a smaller focal point.

Blessed Greeting Card Polly's Paper Studio 04

I’ve selected a variety of flowers and layered them with twine and leaves for a nice arrangement.

Guest Designing for Amazing Paper Grace Celebrate Greeting Card

Standard

Hello there friends and crafty peeps! Well I finally get to share my oh so exciting news! Sometimes we have to keep little secrets and it’s challenging when it’s something  you want to shout from the rooftops lol.   I was asked to guest design for Amazing Paper Grace for the month of August. I mean am I dreaming????? What and honor and blessing to be asked to represent one of your favorite brands! They sent me some really gorgeous dies to create with and let me tell you the cut so well it was no trouble at all to create a card with super intricate details.

Celebrate Card Spellbinders Amazing Paper Grace Die Polly's Paper Studio 01

I’m using the Tallulah Frill Layering Frame for this card. It comes with 3 dies in the set so you can mix and match them to create very custom designs.

Celebrate Card Spellbinders Amazing Paper Grace Die Polly's Paper Studio 03

I used the 2 larger elements and stacked them with a bit of cardstock border to help define the layers.

Celebrate Card Spellbinders Amazing Paper Grace Die Polly's Paper Studio 02

This is a 5 x 6 1/2 inch card so you can see just how well this fits.

Celebrate Card Spellbinders Amazing Paper Grace Die Polly's Paper Studio 05

It doesn’t show up so well in pictures but I added a coating of sparkly embossing powder to the outside portion of the die cut to make it stand out nicely on the patterned paper background.  Also because I like shiny things lol. The inside portion frames a different pattern with a smaller scale and has pearly accents added to the flower centers.

Celebrate Card Spellbinders Amazing Paper Grace Die Polly's Paper Studio 04

There’s a banner shape sentiment strip tucked into the flower arrangement. Some are ready made and some made by me. I gave it a bit of dimension so I could include some additional flowers and show off more of that gorgeous frame.

Thanks so much for the opportunity to create with the gorgeous Spellbinder’s Amazing Paper Grace Dies and for such a warm welcome to the team for August.  Cant’s wait to share my other projects created with these lovely dies!

Birthday Greeting Card with Timeless from Authentique Papers

Standard

Hello there friends and Authentique Paper Fans! Ginny here with a sweet and sassy greeting card created with the all new Timeless collection. Yes I know that collection is designed to be used to create wedding themed projects but I could not help myself. I just had to fussy cut that cake and create a Birthday greeting card.

Why am I calling it sassy you might be asking?  Well just take a look at that color scheme. It’s so bright and vibrant.  I used the Spectrum cardstock in Bubblegum as my border layers to get that great contrast.

By alternating the hue and the scale of the patterns I was able to incorporate many of them without it looking too busy.

There’s some schneaky die cuts tucked in to create even more detail.

These pink and white flowers are just popping off the background. Die cut foliage and mirror cardstock leaves helps to fill in this generously sized arrangement and really anchor this bottom corner.

Here’s that gorgeous layered cake on a pretty scalloped stand. How delightful it would be to have a cake like that for a birthday or a wedding or any occasion.  Last but not least a couple of metal charms and a vintage button and this Timeless Birthday is all set to gift to a special someone.

Please enjoy this process video…

Masculine Card with Spellbinders 3D Vignette Typewriter

Standard

You're Just My Type All Occasion Greeting Card Polly's Paper Studio 03

Hello friends and crafty peeps! Ginny here with a special project I created with the  Amazing Paper Grace April Club Kit. It’s very vintagy and right up my alley!

You're Just My Type All Occasion Greeting Card Polly's Paper Studio 02

This die set has so much flexibility. I has components to incorporate to make this a stand alone 3D card that can fold flat for mailing. I chose to use the typewriter as my focal point and layer it onto some warm richly colored patterned papers for a more masculine look.

You're Just My Type All Occasion Greeting Card Polly's Paper Studio 01

The dies are all separate so you can mix and match your papers to get a very unique look. I cut the base with flat black cardstock then the details with a combination of gold and mirror cardstock. This definitely makes the details pop!

You're Just My Type All Occasion Greeting Card Polly's Paper Studio 04

You can even cut the words from a different paper and add a strip of contrasting color to the back for an inlaid look. There are 2 sentiments to choose from….I think this one is too perfect for a typewriter card.

You're Just My Type All Occasion Greeting Card Polly's Paper Studio 05

I’ve tucked in a couple of tags that I cut simply by hand then finished with eyelets to coordinate with my gold theme then a bit of chunky twine on top. A few pretty dimensional flowers and details like sequins and a tiny clip and this card is ready for gifting for just about any occasion!
