Hello friends and crafty peeps! Time again for another fun challenge at the Funkie Junkie Boutique Blog. I’m so enjoying these awesome themes to spark my creativity!
Host for this challenge is Suzz:
“Do you have a pile of leftover scraps from projects previously made or even a half finished project waiting for you to get the time to complete it? This is the challenge for you! It is time to pull out those scraps, remnants or half finished projects and pull them together into a fabulous shabby chic or vintage project. Make sure to mention in your post what part of your project was a scrap or remnant.”
My take on this theme is to use only paper that has already been cut into and packages that have already been opened.
I’m using a combination of Prima Fruit Paradise and Apricot Honey for this very layered card.
For added texture and detail I’ve used a distress tool to tatter the edges then added the patterned papers to gray cardstock.
These pretty Prima flowers are arranged with some made by me. I’ve tucked in die cut leaves, twine bows, cabochons, and altered heart charm.
The focal point is an image from the cut apart sheet clipped into a tag shape then topped with an eyelet and waxed twine.
As always, the Design Team will choose their top four picks, and the winner will be invited to join us in a Guest DT spot at The Funkie Junkie Boutique Blog. The next three will receive Top 3 badges to display on their blogs. Everyone who enters and follows the rules will be entered into the draw to have the chance to win a $25 spending spree at The Funkie Junkie Boutique. I hope you will whip up a fabulous project featuring metallics and join us on the Frilly and funkie Blog to play along.

Considering I’m not usually fond of gray on anything but winter cards, I really like the look of this card. Your bow is just right. Thanks for posting this challenge!
Gorgeous card! I love how you layered your papers with the beautiful mix of flowers, cording, jewelry and everything! Elegant card!
Such a sweet card. Love all the layers and the floral bouquet is fabulous with all the filigree in the background.
What a beautiful way to use up your opened papers and trims! Love the frilly look to this card Ginny x
Hello Polly,
I am writing you again for some help resourcing the small doily dies you use on the tags that are sent when I order your creative kits from Etsy. I like them because they are simple and yet add such a sweet touch. You helped me find the shiny trim when I asked for help with that embellishment. I am always on the lookout for shiny trim now!! Thank you if you can help me with the doily dies and thank you for all the inspiration and beautiful work you share.
Mickey
