Christmas Traditions Greeting Card

Hey there Peeps! I was just sitting here thinking wow we’re already done with our first week of December. Time goes by so fast this time of year.  I’m just popping in to share a very traditionally styled Christmas card and a few images from our holiday home.

I’ve gone back to plaid…but this time paired with with a pretty holiday pattern and a bold stripe.

Layered die cuts and Christmas sentiments.

Pearly accents and a die cut doily.

And perfectly coordinating flowers and ribbon trim.

Here’s a shneaky peek of one of our Christmas trees…..it has a gingerbread theme with loads of lollipops, peppermints, candies, and of course my favorite cookie…..gingerbread.

All of these are ornaments of course because if it were real treats the tree would be bare by the time the holiday gets here. Just kidding….no really lol.

And here is the same tree this morning with a little furry friend come to enjoy the Christmas lights…..

Quite Morning with the Christmas Tree and Tinker Cat Polly's Paper Studio I’m hoping to get more pics today…depending on the weather. It is currently snowing ugh.

Patriotic Americana Creativity Kit and Projects

Hello there Paper Peeps! I’ve been having myself a good ol time creating lot’s of new vintage inspired decoration for my hubbies patriotic Americana tree that we use to help us celebrate all the summer holidays and his Birthday.  I’ve upgraded the tree size this year….so I’ve got a lot of work to do to fill it in…more is better after all right??????

IMG_3166IMG_3167IMG_3168IMG_3165IMG_3169IMG_3170I’ve used the fun and festive pieces from my new Patriotic Americana Vintage Creativity Kit.

IMG_3171This kit has 36 pieces including handcrafted red, white, and blue tinsel topped fringes, pre-tied bows and loads of printed vintage images. They come pre-cut also….so they’re ready to get your craft on with! Click HERE for more details.

I used only papers from my scrap and salvage box to complete these projects….so it’s a great stashbuster kit as well. For a little added detail…I added some bows created with Red and White Chevron Stripe from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

I have one more fun project to share from this kit……but I’m saving it for a tutorial on Tuesday….so you can see how I create these fun ornaments.

Okay….we’re off to Costco now for  our Family Fun Day! I hope you all enjoy a happy and productive day and find some time to be creative : ) G

New Challenge at Really Reasonable Ribbon

Time again for another challenge at Really Reasonable Ribbon. Little different this time. We have a bingo theme…and it’s not what you think! She has a bingo card with lot’s of fun options so you can pick any three in a line and make a project using those pics and ribbon. Here is the bingo card….

Bingo cardI chose White-image-Glitter and ribbon.

You all know how I love a peat pot!!!! This one is filled with a sweet little tree….stamps….tiny ball ornaments, reindeer image, paper rosette, and of course trims from Really Reasonable Ribbon. I used Snowflakes on Red Satin and Red Chevron.

Are you ready to play bingo with us????? Just whip up a fabulous project with any three in a row and add your link to the challenge.

Here on the home front….I’ve been decking the halls….I’ll add pics as I get them taken….first here is our living room tree:

IMG_2663-001Let me start by saying this is a super gimongus tree! Lot’s of ornaments from our original collection. Some handmade…..some have had a make over…..we have 1 box of missing ornaments….where the heck did it go???? Anyhoo as soon as I find them….I’ll finish up the tree and update the picture.  Yesterday I decorated the snowman tree in the kitchen…..hopefully we will have a little sun so I can get a picture.

I hope you all have a happy and productive day and find some time to be creative : ) G

White Christmas

No snow here yet….but I’ve made a few shabby chic ornaments in white for my shop tree.

IMG_0378I started this by painting and inking a chipboard frame. There’s a bit of book page as the background and a pretty vintage dress form image. A sweet little Paris clipping peeking out behind the star.

IMG_0381I layered a glittery star with painted jingle bells and some trims from Really Reasonable Ribbon. I choose my favorite Ivory Wrinkle Ribbon and Shimmer Satin in Charcoal. I used the stem from the star to make a few twisty elements for dimension. There’s a few additional chipboard pieces that I added on to create a nice layered look. They got the same paint and ink treatment.

IMG_0380Really need to talk to someone about my need to add three buttons to everything I make lol. I added a border of pom pom trim in Ivory.

IMG_0382I have enjoyed this ornament on my shabby chic shop tree. this one might get left out when all the seasonal decor is put away lol.

Hope you all enjoy a happy and productive day and find some time to be creative : ) G

Shabby Chic Christmas in the Shop

Shabby chic and Christmas are two things that really go together. With a little help from my friends I’ve got the shop decked out in soft pinks and whites with lot’s of silver and crystal.  Hand crafted ornaments are the icing on the cake. I’ll be sharing some views of our holiday displays over the next few days so I hope you all check back often to see them all.

IMG_0160IMG_0166IMG_0174A few close up shots of the tree. I’ve added a pretty metal  rack to hold the overflow of ornaments.

I hope you all enjoy a happy and productive day and find some time to be creative : ) G
