IMG_4243Loving the giant black flowers donated by my dear friend Anna….just perfect for a Halloween card! There are also quite a few…..okay 12….Mulberry flowers from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

IMG_4242I added some paper covered chipboard buttons  to finish off my card.

Since we are sponsoring this time…I got to choose the prize…how fun is that?

IMG_4071There’s a great set of vintage die cuts from Glitz, a Halloween notebook, a set of Sizzix Halloween embossing folders, and yards and yards of perfectly coordinated ribbon and twine.

Ooops…forgot about Friday Funday : (

Standard

Oh my goodness I just realized that I totally forgot to post Friday Funday! I have no excuse except that we’ve been moving the studio, and crazy busy filling orders and a sick kiddo.

friday fundayOur winner for week 2 …..#7 Megan Fuchs

I don’t know what my crafty style is, but I do love things with patterns and shapes. I mostly enjoy looking at pintrest for ideas. My favorite thing to create is art using clay as a medium. I took a ceramics class and I loved using my hands to make projects. I am terrible at the wheel, but I have made a beautiful vase that looks like the honey bin of pooh. My mom loves it and puts her flowers inside. Random silly about me is that I love sports: baseball, football, basketball, and soccer. I always say that I am terrible at these   sports but am the biggest cheerleader/fan.

Megan please contact me at vnemchak@hotmail.com with a mailing address and which creativity kit you would like for your prize.

This weeks questions…..

What new craft technique would you like to try? For me it’s encoustics art….but I am just afraid of the fumes. I don’t want my art to kill anyone lol.

What is your best craft supplies organization tip? I use tons of little drawers to keep my supplies separated but easy to get out and put away. I know if I have to pull out bins with lids I will not put things away because I am lazy. Just kidding….no really!

Random Silly Thing….I am terribly afraid of heights. I would rather be standing naked in the middle of a busy intersection with snakes and bugs on me and set on fire than go mountain climbing. Okay now it’s your turn to play along.

Each week on Friday I’ll ask a fun question or two so I can get to know you all better. You have until Thursday at noon to leave a comment with your answer and I’ll draw a name at random from the comments on the post. One lucky Peep will win a creativity kit of their choice from our selection in the Etsy Shop.  I’ll announce the winner when we post Friday Funday for the following week.  If this goes well…we’ll play along every week…so make sure to tell your friends to join in too.  Please play fair….only 1 comment per person per IP address that way you’ll all have the same chance to win…so no comments from your kids, cats, or dogs lol. Prize will be shipped within the continental United States only…sorry to my international followers. This is a family friendly blog….so please keep all comments nice : )

Okay that’s all for me. Wishing you all a happy and productive day with lots of time to be creative : ) G

It’s Friday Funday!!!

Standard

friday fundayHey there Paper Peeps. Last week we had such a great response when we had our first ever Friday Funday that I’m hoping to make it a regular weekly event! Had some great (and funny) answers to our questions. It’s so nice to get to know you all a little better. Without further ado….

The winner of last weeks giveaway….Sharon Wheet!!!!! Yay Congratulations : )

the crafting tool I use the most is a guillotine paper cutter. I actually use it for 99% of my card stock cutting. As for the tool I wish I had, it would be a Silhouette. It would make a lot of my 3D paper crafts more precise and so much more! And lastly, one silly thing about me . . . I can craft easier when the house is clean. My full attention is on crafting, and not any chores that need to be completed. [i think its OCD. {smile}]

Sharon please contact me at vnemchak@hotmail.com with a mailing address and which creativity kit you would like for your prize.

This weeks questions…..

What is your crafty stye? For me it’s vintage and shabby chic all the way! The more layers and trims and buttons and bling the better : )

What is your favorite thing to create? For me I think I make more cards than anything else…but I’m really drawn to 3d and altered art right now.

Random Silly Something about me? I am a documentary junkie. I will watch anything with aliens…Loch Ness Monster….and earth science and history. LOL I am a craft nerd!!!! Okay now it’s your turn to play along : )

Each week on Friday I’ll ask a fun question or two so I can get to know you all better. CHACB-blinkieWe have an extra special prize this time generously donated by the folks at Hampton Art:

1973413_10203750582992866_1517939214_oHampton Art, founded in 1980 in picturesque Long Island, NY, has been inspiring stampers, crafters and papercraft enthusiasts for over 20 years. I decided to create a card. I stamped the sentiment as well as the layered flowers.

IMG_3161I added a whole lot of bling and flowers…and flowers with bling on top , and paper patterns from KI Memories. The beautiful ribbon is Capri Blue Diamond Satin from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

IMG_3163I created the blue flowers by stamping the flower image on light blue cardstock….trimming them out, cutting between the leaves and layering them. Last but not least I topped them off with a large pearly center.

Okay…now it’s your turn to get your craft on and make a great project using a stamped image as your focal point…then link it up HERE to play along with us in the challenge.

Cards with 20’s Era Women and Giveaway Announcement

Standard

Hello there all…it’s Ginny here to share two cards I created for a special request from a good friend from Canada. She asked me if I could make her some cards with 20’s era women and vintagy styled paper patterns. One in blacks and cremes and one in blue. Of course I’m only too happy to oblige.

IMG_2439IMG_2440IMG_2442I printed all the paper patterns for this card…and layered them with a tan card stock. Loads of Stickling and inking for accent. I used the Satin with Silver Metallic Edge edge to coordinate with the flowers and buttons. She is also very fond of butterflies….so I snuck one in there to surprise her.

IMG_2449IMG_2445IMG_2448

This lovely lady is a printed image layered over G45 and Jenni Bowlin papers. I added clipped flowers and Stickled and inked away. This time I added Black Gingham over  Shimmer Satin in Black. Then added a sweet little gingham bow to finish it off. These trims came from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

Thanks to Jonathan this morning for drawing #7 for our Halloweeny prize giveaway. Nancy is our lucky winner. Please contact me at vnemchak@hotmail.com to get me an address to send your prize. Congrats to you and thanks for everyone who played along!

I hope you all have a happy and productive day and find some time to be creative 🙂 Huggs Ginny
