We’re kicking off the summer holiday season with a fabby new Stars and Stripes Patriotic Creativity Kit!!!! So many festive paper patterns, vintagy images and prettied bows. Of course I got into one and whipped up some projects…because that’s what I do lol. I have created 2 full sized cards, 2 large tags, 2 house tags (my favorite), and 2 wall hangings. There is a good sized stack of leftovers too so I can create some tags and labels for home made goodies for the holiday.

Hey there! It’s time again for another fun challenge at Really Reasonable Ribbon. The theme this time is Anything but a Card with Ribbon or Trim. I’ve created a pair of fun and festive and very patriotic tags…..which are the perfect addition to any summer holiday home décor.
I was inspired by these sweet little wooden hearts painted out with a chalkboard finish with a dash line edging. What a perfect base to add the embellies to.
Of course you have to have a double layer bow and this one has itty bitty stars squeeeeeee.
The sentiments are actually layered stickers. They have great dimension and a vintagy Americana feel.
I used spacers to add extra depth and allow room to secure the twine that’s added to the tag.
This tag is similar…but has a different sentiment.
The base of this tag is 110 lb cardstock with a rich blue and polka dot pattern layered on top. The back is finished in a coordinating pattern.
A double layer of doilies because you can never have enough of those…..along with matching flowers, pearly accents and iridescent stars.
Last but not least…..extra squishy tinsel topped crepe fringe.

Happy 1st of the month peeps! Just dropping in to share my first project with the new Patriotic Assortment Ribbon Club Selection.
This will be perfect for all the summer holiday projects! Great solids with fun and festive patterns!
I created a wall hanging just because I was in the mood to make extra bows lol.
Stars and stripes are my favorite Americana themed patterns. I die cut the base and added layers of 110 lb cardstock to ensure that it would be nice and sturdy.
The focal image is a digital tag from my shop Patriotic Tags Collage. It’s got a metal eyelet with thick twine pulled through and glass glitter stars peeking out from behind.
Coordinating flowers are layered in with Spiral Stamens and a large chipboard sentiment.
The crisp white paper doily works great to break up the busy patterns.
Isn’t this bow fabulous??? There’s a solid taffeta with the satin quatrefoil on top then twine and last but not least an epoxy patterned brad.
Petaloo Flowers~ Darjeeling Blue Anenomes.
Okay that’s all for me. I can’t wait to get more projects started with this ribbon club selection….and get my house all decked out for the summer holidays : ) G
Hey there Peeps! Ginny here dropping in to share a very festive and fun holiday décor creation using the fabulous DIY Flowers and Canvas Corp patterned papers. I love to make projects in red, white, and blue since they can be displayed for all the summer holidays!!!
I’m calling this Liberty Village. A row of tiny houses all decked out in patriotic colors and fun trims. It’ll be a great addition to my seasonal décor. My hubby is born on the 4th of July so we really go all in for this great holiday! And we get cake…so that’s a win win : )These little houses are only about 3 inches square ( before the roof.) I was able to pack a lot of detail in a small space. All lined up they are the perfect size for a shelf. From this angle you can see how the tiny chimneys fit perfectly on the roof peak. I had to do math shudder. For this center house I added a few glittery stars on spingy wires nestled into the kraft packaging in the chimney. To finish the tops of the chimneys I added a small length of white lace wrapped around and stapled in place with a tiny staple. Coordinating lace on the bottom of the house is layered over burlap trim. This roof peak is all decked out with the DIY Flowers, Red Jeweled Flowers, glittery branches and ribbon trim. I sprayed the DIY Flowers with Fireworks Spray to match the chevron stripe in the paper. Tinsel trim on the underside of the roof makes it extra festive
Surprise!!! The roofs come off. From this angle you can see I’ve tucked in another star clipped in with an itty bitty red clothespin.
Simply untie the red cord and the little house opens right up to reveal a vintagy image and 3 picture mats for displaying favorite summer pictures.I just love how the shades of red, white, and blue are all vintagy and not super bright. Each little house has a different image….but the same picture mats.
It will be fun to fill up these little houses with our pictures and memories. And we can enjoy them year after year when we decorate for the holiday.

As promised here is the 8th project created with the new Patriotic Creativity Kit 2016. Here is a card I created with awesome chippies, patterned papers, vintage images and loads of embellishments. It would be great as a card…but even better tucked into a shelf or mantle display to enjoy for the whole season.
Let me just say right now, Scribble Frames
are my new favorite!!!!! Just too much fun to layer them up with loads of details. I have a lot of pattern going on here so I relied on this frame finished in crisp white to add separation to keep the card from being too busy.
I added some fun and festive embellies like a glittery star, pearly accents and coordinating flowers. Working in the Hope Chipboard
was a great way to incorporate a subtle sentiment.
Okay that’s all for me…off to my shop to escape from the snow. Wishing all of you a happy and productive day with lots of time to be creative : ) G
Hey there Peeps. Well despite our chilly weather and snowy forecast….spring has arrived and you know what that means? Yes. I have visions of summer holidays dancing in my head. And since the Fourth of July is my Hubbies Birthday I like to plan ahead and create lots of fun and festive decor items. I worked on these great patriotic creations this week using our new Patriotic Creativity Kit 2016. The best thing about Memorial Day and Fourth of July holidays is that you can display your seasonal decor all summer!! I pulled in some bits and pieces from my stash as well as some unexpected embellishments like bells and keys and was able to create 8 complete full sized projects. I’m sharing 7 today and one more tomorrow for my GSL post….

Okay that’s all for me….going to hunker in my shop and wait for the snow to go away…wishing all of you a happy and productive day with lots of time to be creative : ) G
Hey there Peeps! Well you all know how crazy we are for summer holidays here at Polly’s. Not only are we fiercely patriotic but my Hubbies Birthday is on the 4th so we have lots or reason to celebrate!!! I created a picnic centerpiece for Graphic 45 filled with a star spangled floral display complete with paper pinwheels andddd it’s in a mason jar which makes it more awesome anddd it has a jar cozy with sections to hold napkins and utensils. So it’s pretty much the most pretty and practical centerpiece ever!!!
Of course I’m using Home Sweet Home with it’s homespun charm and patriotic color scheme!
I created the jar cozy with the Staples Tag Album. It will make switching out the flowers easier and will prevent drips on the pretty papers.
My dear Hubby found these carnations for me to arrange with the glittery stars made with real glass glitter and the paper pinwheels made from the 6 x 6 paper pad and Staples Metal Brads.
Four cozy compartments to hold napkins and utensils. Instead of the cups we used to use that would blow over in the wind lol.
I gave each compartment a different but similar look using the coordinating chipboard.
These Petaloo flowers are actually supposed to be for Christmas…but they matched perfectly to my color scheme so I went with it.
This trim from Really Reasonable Ribbon is hand dyed silk and it’s just gorgeous!!!

Hey there Peeps! Well…did you ever have one of those days where life is just bound and determined to kick you square in the booty???? That’s how my morning is going..not a dang thing has gone right….but I am determined to overcome my bad luck and come back swinging! So I went to my shop and glued some paper and ribbon and flowers…and now I feel a whole lot better!!!! Yay!!!
I created this festive Patriotic Wall Hanging with layers of patterned papers, handcrafted glass glitter stars, crepe fringe, paper pinwheel, loads of beautiful flowers and a great new image from my Patriotic Banner Shapes Collage Digital Sheet. Stickled it up for extra detail.
There’s a generous length of Navy Diamond Satin from Really Reasonable Ribbon as a hanger and extra poofy twine and button topped bows.
Love all this layering and the pinwheel really anchors the corner. Those scrumptious Sugared flowers are from Petaloo.
I did lots of extra inking and Stickling for a more vintage Americana look. This will be a great addition to summer holiday seasonal decor! Okay Peeps that’s all for me. Back to the shop to wrap orders and head out in the rain to get to the post office. Wishing you all a happy and productive day with lots of time to be creative : ) G
Well it’s too stormy to go outside to play…so instead I stayed in and made some super fabulous Premium Patriotic Creativity Kits. These babies are really loaded with a ton of fun and festive paper and embellishments to add to your holiday crafting. I crafted some really poofy tinsel topped crepe fringe in the old red white and blue and stacked 6 layers of crepe to make them really lush. There’s not only pre-tied bows…but yard goods as well so you’ll get a full yard of red gingham, 2 full yards of navy satin, and a yard of wired tiny tinsel trim. I added a foot of poof star trim and a foot of star garland ,and 3 felty stars. Pre-tied bows of twine are perfect in blue and red and white with tiny wooden clothespins. Printed bags as well as kraft and glassine. Really sparkly rhinestone trim, blingy flower and pearl and crystal topped pins. Last but not least…tickets and flowers.
Okay..that’s all for me….I’m off to find something to make for dinner since it’s too rainy to go out. Wishing you all a happy and productive day with lots of time to be creative : ) G
Hey there Paper Peeps! We are starting a new Red White and Blue Challenge at Really Reasonable Ribbon. I chose to make a banner…..a patriotic banner….SURPRISE! Okay..I know you’re not surprised lol. You would be more surprised if I didn’t make a new patriotic banner right???
I’ve got Red White and Blue and Patriotic covered on this festive holiday banner. I started with a base of 150 lb cardstock and layered on a ton of patterned papers. I added images from my Beach Babes Collage Sheet that I Stickled the patootie out of. Next came lot’s of Tim Holtz metal embellies and Petaloo Sugared Blooms. I’m using Navy Blue Silky Crush Ribbon to hang the banner sections on as well as extra tags to hang between. The images of the flag shields were also heavily Stickled…..boy did my hand hurt after all that! Notice how I added the bronze colored Eyelets? That prevents the ribbon from pulling through so this will be a great addition to the seasonal decor for a long long time : )
Okay…now it’s your turn to create a project with a Red White and Blue theme and link up with us at Really Reasonable Ribbon to play along. Wishing you all a happy and productive day with lots of time to be creative : ) G
