Twas the Night Before Christmas Layout with Graphic 45

Standard

Hello there Paper Peeps. I’m so pleased to get to share a layout I created with Twas the Night Before Christmas for Graphic 45.  I’ve been patiently waiting to get to share as I made this project for the paper show in Atlanta.  What fun to get to play with this awesome new collection and have my layout in the Graphic 45 display!

Twas The Night Before Christmas 1This paper collection is just so beautiful. It’s very traditional with a whimsical spin. It’s full of beautiful patterns, large images perfect for us fussy cutters, and journal cards so you can add your favorite holiday memories.

Twas The Night Before Christmas 2I used some shabby glittered roses and painted chipboard accents. There’s a little lace here from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

Twas The Night Before Christmas 3I layered the large Santa over more of the chipboard and fussy cut snowflakes.

Twas The Night Before Christmas 4I just love how the tags and sentiments look all layered up with trimmed clocks, holly and snowflakes.

The tree in the picture is the one we put up in our front room. It’s nearly 10 ft tall…so it’s quite a challenge for me to decorate as I am a shorty at only 5’1 lol.

Supplies I used to create this layout:

Twas the Night Before Christmas Happy Holly-Day

Twas the Night before Christmas Merry Mistletoe

Twas the Night before Christmas Ho Ho Ho

Twas the Night Before Christmas Jolly Old Elf

Twas the Night Before Christmas Long Winter’s Nap

Twas the Night Before Christmas Up on the Housetops

Twas the Night Before Christmas Twas the Night Before Christmas

Dusty Attic Chipboard

Tim Holtz Metal Clips

Tim Holtz Gathered Twigs Distress Ink

Zva Creative Pearl Accents

Tim Holtz Diamond Stickles

Really Reasonable Ribbon Lace

Vintage Buttons

Dimensional Flowers

Parchment Paper

That’s all for me….off to the shop now. I hope you all enjoy a happy and productive day with lots of time to be creative : )G

Graphic 45 Design Team 2012 Audition

Standard

I’m very excited to be auditioning to be a Design Team Member for Graphic 45. I’ve had myself a good old time creating these new projects just for this audition. There’s quite a few pictures….so get yourself a cup of coffee and set a spell and check out these great creations using fabulous Graphic 45 papers.

First project…….

This vacation memories chest has ton’s of layers of vintage images mounted on acrylic sheets with tiny clips.

I started this project out with paper mache and finished it off with my usual shabby chic style. I embellished with flowers, shells, and Dusty attic chipboard.

Second Project………

Fashionista Frame with lot’s of paper pieced layers for detail and depth.

Third Project……

This sweet little mini album is actually a calendar created with ABC Primer! The sweet little butterflies are Graphic Fairy : )

Each set of pages has 3 month cards that flip up and a large pocket on the left to tuck in memorabilia and pictures.

Loving the embellishments in the corner!

Fourth Project……

Layout for my Niece and her daughter : ) They are very outdoorsy so no girly frou frou!

Yep you guessed it…more handmade flowers : )

Fifth Project………

Shabby chic and very vintage wedding card.

Seventh Project……

Very traditionally styled Christmas Card. I’ve been hoarding this image for quite a while waiting for a special occasion.

Project Eight…..

This project is very special to me as it was my “personal challenge” for this post. Make a collage with only  items from the scrap and salvage box. All these yummy little bits and pieces were leftover from other projects just waiting to have a home of their own.

Okay that‘s it from my audition projects. I want to thank everyone at Graphic 45 for the opportunity to be considered to join the team and for making such beautiful papers for us to play with. Best of luck to everyone who tries out….it takes a lot of courage….but we did it!!!YAYYY US!!!!!

Shabby French Chic

Standard

I’m on a quest to repurpose all my old frames into displays for the new shop. This particular frame is on the smallish side….but it was already painted. And as I am on the lazyish side….it was the winner for a makeover today : )

The beautiful vintage image came from Graphics Fairy : ) I wish I could have used the whole image…but that would involve painting another frame lol.

Another makeover flower. Just a bit smaller this time. I used a different trim on the back this time it has crochet accents. Lot’s of glitter and natural fibers. The text that’s stamped on is French.  I think it translates into ” only a crazy person would spend so much time making over flowers!!” Hahaha

The faux frame layered behind the pretty lady is made from several pieces cut with the  Cricut with white cardstock. The cartridge is Sentimental. I used different Tim Holtz Distress inks to mottle the colors and inked the edges as well. Then each layer got a misting of Perfect Pearls Mists in Biscotti. While it was still wet I sprinkled on a generous amount of flocking powder. To finish off the details I added Perfect Pearls also in Biscotti.

I removed the glass from the frame so as to have enough space for lot’s of dimension.  There’s a chipboard leaf embellishment from Dusty Attic and a sweet glittery butterfly. It also keeps the glare off of it should I be lucky enough to be enjoying lot’s of sunshine in our new location.
