I’ve been working away on some fun little retro inspired Christmas cards this week using my new Creativity Kit. I just love the brighter colors and chipper and cheerful images. I came up with four awesome cards.
I added bits and pieces from my scrap and salvage box with the kit to layer them up. The crepe fringe is a great way to add texture. I also Stickled and inked them quite a bit.
There’s loads of goodies in this kit…a full 30 pieces : ) The fabulous trims are from Really Reasonable Ribbon. I think I’ll take another for myself and make a jazzy sassy little banner. Click the link to check out the details…Retro Santa Inspired Creativity Kit.
Some of the fun images here are from The Gaphic’s Fairy
I’m off now to enjoy some paper playin fun with Friend Brandy. I’m so glad she’s here to celebrate her birthday at the shop : ) Happy Birthday !!!!!
I’m pretty excited this morning to be sharing my first freebie printable : ) I’ve whipped up a cute little image with an adorable witch! Of course it’s got vintage style and images from Graphic’s Fairy. I want to give a big thanks to Karen at Graphic’s Fairy for featuring another of my projects at Brag Monday. That’s 2 times in 3 weeks woot woot. She is so awesome. Hope you love this fun and festive image as much as I do : ) Use it in your handmade cards, scrapbooking, tags, or any type of paper crafting.
I have to wait for the tech dept gets home to help me turn it into a downloadable jpeg….so for now you can just right click on it to save it to your files to print. This image is for personal use only. Not to be reproduced in a digital collage in whole or part or added to items that you intend to sell.
I’m hoping to find the time to add a new freebie every week. So stop back soon and see what other little goodie I’m sharing : )
I’m off to the shop to get ready for class tonight and to box up all the orders to ship.
I hope you all have a happy and productive day and find some time to be creative : ) G
Hi there! It’s Ginny here sharing a fun and festive Vintage Inspired Mini Album I created in the shop this week for my class. The base of the book is paper bags…but folded to make fabulous pockets for tags and pictures. It also makes the album super sturdy and chunky! I even had to add extra large rings : )
The best part???? The wonderful coordinating trims from Really Reasonable Ribbon!
I added the Black Gingham, Satin Scallop Edge, and Diagonal Stripe to the rings. There are tons of other great choices of ribbons and trims for your Halloween projects in theHoliday section. You should hop on over and check em out. Also for my album cover, I added a stamped ticket, chunky rosette and a metal mailing tag rimmed black clock. The Witches Ball image is from Graphic’s Fairy.
The pages inside have pockets that hold tags. It’s a little hard to tell in the picture…but the pumpkin images are raised on Foam Dots to make them dimensional. I used a funky striped straw as a pocket topper and added Tim Holtz clips as fun metal accents.
There’s another rosette as the topper to the tag in this pocket. I added tinsel trim to top this pocket for a little sparkle. There’s a fun banner at the top of the right side page to carry the orange over to this side of the book. The little boy image is on foam dots for dimension.
Another straw..this time in orange. I added a glittery spider web…just because I could and topped it off with another rosette.
The girlies and I will have lot’s of fun creating these albums Tuesday in class. I will also have a limited amount of kits available in the Etsy shop.
Okay..that’s it for me. I hope you all have a happy and productive day and find some time to be creative. : ) G
Well it’s true you begin to loose your memory when you get older…so I blame it on my age. Which incidentally is one year more than I was last year on my Birthday…so you can’t be mad at me…..blame it on old age lol. And if you didn’t get that hint hint hint..it’s my Birthday today…yea me!!!! : )
So now that I remember…here is the listing for the card kit from our class last week….forgive my lateness. Pretty Please : )
This is a super vintagy set of 5 cards all with the festive Halloween theme. Just right for giving away..or keeping for yourself to add to your seasonal decor. Can you just picture these on a mantle or shelf mixed in with your other holiday decor???? Spooktacular! As always…everything you need to complete the 5 cards is included. There are some really fun embellishments too and trims from Really Reasonable Ribbon : ) All the pieces are pre-cut and ready to assemble so they’re easy peasy to assemble. Well hello there all. I’m very excited to share a fun and festive project I created with awesome vintage images, Really Reasonable Ribbon and great embellishments. I’ll be adding these to my seasonal decor as soon as I can con someone into coming into the shop and spend the afternoon on a ladder with me to get the displays up. lol. No volunteers yet…can’t image why???? LOL
So here is my project….Halloween Altered Art Boxes:
I created the boxes with my Scor-Buddy and craft brown cardstock. Then I filled it with floral foam and some shredded craft paper filler. Then the fun part!
These girlies are so cute. I clipped them out of their background and colored them in with pencils and Stickled them up for detail. A few inked rosettes , printed tickets and a fun hanging banner help to fill in the space. I used a generous length of Satin Swiss Dot to wrap the box and made a sweet little bow of Orange Twill and Bakers Twine with a few fancy pins to keep it in place.
Ghost and Goblins Oh My…lol. I layered up this little fellow with wings, and a small clock image. I scavenged the pumpkins from a bag of potpouri, I think they add nice texture. The glitter star on bendy wire is anchored in a tiny covered wooden spool. The tiny tag and raffia bow is hung with an orange clothes pin. For this box I choose to give it a border at the top and bottom with tinsel trim.
This girl has a vintage tag in the background, another inked rosette and a fun number tag hung with another clothespin. On the right side you can just see the tiny bats on springy wire.
This is a class for my girls Tuesday night. This class is full already so unfortunately I can not take any additional reservations. Sorry : ( They have been persuading me for a while to to dimensional art projects so thanks girls for the motivation!
Okay that’s all for me. I can’t wait to add this to my shop display.
I hope you all enjoy a happy and productive day and find some time to be creative : ) Huggs Ginny
