Good morning Paper Peeps! I’ve got a lovely selection of cards to share today inspired by my Tuesday Night Vintage Chicks….AKA…my class Peeps : ) They have asked their fearless (lol) leader to create some greeting cards that are more shippable…and how can I turn down my girls???? Cards without bells and whistles was a challenge for me..not using a big pile of embellishments…..but I love how they turned out…I may not have gotten in any buttons or bells…but I did add loads of vintagy images and pretty patterned papers : )
So we’ve got Thank You, Thinking of You, Happy Birthday,Get Well Soon, and Sympathy covered. We’ll be making 7 cards this week…so I hope they keep the jibber jabber to a minimum if they want to get done in time for Sons of Anarchy. Lol Their show..not mine….I’ll go home and watch a documentary : ) Yes..I’m a dork that way!
We’ll be working with this kit to make 7 cards. It would also make fabulous tags or labels right? Hop on over to check out how to get a kit of your own Polly’s on Etsy.
Okay for the TNVC…..I’ll see ya Tuesday. And wishing everyone a happy and productive day with lots of time to be creative : ) G
Hey there Paper Peeps. As you all know….we at Polly’s like to get a jump on our holiday crafting….specifically Christmas…since there’s shopping and cleaning and entertaining …not to mention baking like 30,000 cookies lol. We usually wait for July to do Christmas in July….but we are going out of town for my hubbies Birthday….so we are moving week 1 to June.
For our first class….we are making cards with a Winter Birds theme : )
This card selection has lot’s of patterned papers, vintage images, die cuts, embossing, ribbon, flowers, buttons, twine and tiny clothes pin. I really love winter birds!!! I have a select few kits available….as supplies are limited. If you’d like a kit to create the 5 cards for yourself please check out Winter Birds Christmas Greeting Card Kit in the Etsy Shop. Trust me…you’ll be thankin me later when you are all prepared to send lovely handmade greetings to your favorite Peeps at Christmas time!
Hey there Paper Peeps. I hope you are enjoying your holiday weekend! As for us…we are heading down for another family fun day at Cedar Point….we are a roller coaster loving family. Not a traditional way to spend a holiday…but it’s our tradition and I can’t wait to get there.
I’m dropping in to share the fun and festive holiday banner we are creating in class this week. This baby will be hanging on my mantle all summer!
I layered the patterned papers with Cricut cut letters, Stickled vintage images, handcrafted crepe fringe, die cuts, bows, fun dimensional bows and layered patriotic tags!
This is my favorite banner I’ve created so far!!!! We are gonna have a super fun time making this in class : ) If you’d like a kit to create a banner too…just hop on over to the Etsy Shop. This will be a fabulous addition to your favorite seasonal decor!
Hello all of you fabulous Paper Peeps first I want to share with you some pretty awesome exciting news…..we have made the top 30 finalist for the Graphic 45 DT audition….one round to go…I’m keeping my fingers crossed! Thanks for all the encouragement and support, for all the FB likes and Pinterest pins!!!! #goteamginny!!!! Thanks to Linda for thinking up our team slogan : ) I’m very honored to have a place with so many deserving talented artists and I’m wishing us all lot’s of luck for the next round!
What would be exciting after that???? Well I am sharing the fun and festive 3d Patriotic project from our class last week. Thanks to Linda for finding the awesome little stripy baking pans that inspired this Americana decor.
I’ve already added mine to our Patriotic tree and it’s just the right amount of vintagyness!
There were soooo many pieces to this project….but my girlies were good sports. I can tell you we did get into our usual sass and shenanigans so we had a pretty late night…but I’m thrilled with this project and I’ll be adding this to my favorite seasonal decor for all the summer holidays and my sweeties Birthday.
Okay Peeps…it’s out to the cold for this girl……going in to the shop to make some cards and leave some love for the other 30 finalists…I hope you do to! I’m wishing you all a happy and productive day and time to be creative : )
Well we had lot’s of fun and lot’s of laughs in our class last night…and we even managed to get our projects done too! We created this super sweet Vintage Valentine Love Mini Album.
The front cover has a lovely vintage image ( Stickled of course) hand crafted tinsel topped crepe fringe, flowers that have been inked, pearled, glittered, and finished off with a pearly stamen center. Many of the elements have been raised on foam dots so it’s very dimensional. A tiny little clip is a cute addition.
Pull out bow topped tags for journaling and extra pics.
Just popping into share one of the projects we are creating in class Tuesday. It’s an ornament. Well…actually it’s a tag. But I put a big loop on it to hang on the tree….so technically it’s an ornament lol.
This is gonna be a fun class….can’t hardly wait. Of course I used Really Reasonable Ribbon to create the loop for this ornament!
I hope you all enjoy a happy and productive day and find some time to be creative : ) G
Here is a sneak peek of one of the cards we will be creating in our class this week.
It has lot’s of my favorite elements…poinsettias, lantern, bird, music, ribbon and bell. There’s lot’s of pop dotted areas also making this a very dimensional card. Our Tuesday the 5th class is full….but we have added an extra seating Friday the 8th by request of the local peeps. If you’re interested in this class. we will be creating 5 vintage inspired cards all with loads of details, pretty patterned papers and trims from Really Reasonable Ribbon. Cost for this class is $25 and includes all materials, adhesives and use of Polly’s tools. We begin promptly at 6 pm. You can simply comment this post if you like me to save you a spot….then call me at the shop today from 11- 6 pm or starting Tuesday from 11-6 with your deposit to reserve your seat.
