Lucky Irish Lass Greetings

Hello friends and fellow crafters! I’m wishing you the luck of the Irish today with this fun and festive greeting card.

 

I just love having holiday themed chippies from GSL to create with because it allows me to scrap my stash and create great cards and decor.

This larger frame is just perfect for big cards like this one…it really fills in the space generously.

I’ve substituted 4 leaf clovers for leaves in the flower arrangement and layered them up with twine and seasonal embellishments.

Speaking of luck….an upturned horseshoe will catch all the luck and good tidings : )

I think this card would make a great addition to holiday decor displayed with fun and festive seasonal items : )

I used my favorite embossing powders to finish the chippies before I added them to this card. A few coats of Stickles are added for  super glittery and shiny four leaf clovers : )

Thinking of You Greeting Card

Happy first of the month Peeps. You know what that means. The all new Ribbon Club Assortment comes out today hooray!!!!!

I’m so happy to see this bright fresh combination because I’m getting in the mood for Spring and these are just perfect!

 

I’m using the gorgeous purple from the collection to accent this card.

It coordinates so perfectly with the flowers.

The Burlap String in violet adds a lovely texture to this arrangement.

I’ve added some foliage die cut from crisp white paper to lighten up the flower collection.

Altered chipboard and sequins adds loads of depth and dimension.

Last but not least some purpley Prills for the final accent.

Fairy Dust Greeting Card

Hello there and happy Tuesday!  I’m sharing my first card today created with Graphic 45’s Fairy Dust.  I mean what can I say…it’s so purpley!!!!

I can tell already I am gonna use up this entire collection.

The lovely fairy image pairs so  well with natural elements.

I’ve layered the image over an altered chipboard frame colored in chartreuse to coordinate.

Vintagy keys are tucked into this sweet little arrangement with twine, flowers,  and stamps.

Matching sequins add sparkle.

Larger flowers for this collection with beautiful berry sprigs, ribbon, and coordinating lace. The final detail is Prills to break up the hard edges and give a more organic look.

The World is a Canvas Greeting Card with Graphic 45 Nature Sketchbook Video

Hey there all my Peeps! I’m excited to share that I’m starting my New Years crafty goal for 2018 which is trying different color combinations and design styles.  This card has a blue and green color scheme which is a bit outside my comfort zone…but I love how it turned out! I’m using the Nature Sketchbook Collection from Graphic 45 which is one of my favorites.

It’s sooooo green lol.  Just kidding…I really do like it.

The idea behind this card was nature which was easy to accomplish using this collection.

These Wild Orchid Crafts are dreamy. I did not hold back with the layering lol. There is a sweet little fussy cut butterfly tucked in and pretty chevron striped bow to fill in this arrangement. A bit of netting adds texture.

Prills help to bring the colors in to the center focal image which is a cut apart from the collection. I just love the sentiment.

This corner has a larger butterfly, more of the flowers and netting, and gold twine tied in a simple loopy bow.

This clip was given a face lift with alcohol ink and now it coordinates perfectly! The chipboard frame is finished with antique gold embossing powder for a subtle shine. A bit of messy sewing lines adds texture to the patterned paper.

The edges of the papers are all distressed and scrunched up which is a subtle..but effective accent. Look at all the dimension I was able to get with the layers.

 I’d say this is a good start to my new crafty goal. No pink in sight lol.

Use Your Wings Large Tag

Hey there Peeps! I’m dropping in today to share a large tag I created with some of my favorite card making elements.

I did mention it’s large right? It’s 5 1/4 x 9 inches. Go big or go home is what I say. BTW this also applies to french fries lol.

Pretty lace and trim with bling and pearls anchor the bottom of this tag and add sparkle.

I’ve given a crackle finish to this Eiffel Tower chippie and layered a sweet sentiment on top. Matching sequins and die cut doily are the perfect accent to the textured chipboard.

The background pattern is applied with a Ranger stencil and grape colored ink. I’ve also inked the flourish die cut tucked into the flowers.

This lovely little butterfly was the inspiration for this tag.

I love these very purpley flowers so much I added some to the top and bottom of this tag. A bit of ribbon, and sugared berries, and Prills are the final element and I think they look great!

Family Inspired Greeting Card with G45

Hey there my Peeps! I’m taking a little break today from the Valentine projects to share a very vintagy inspired card created with the fabulous Penny’s Paper Doll Family collection from Graphic 45.

This collection is so much fun to work with. Anddddd easy to layer. You all know how much I love my layers.

I also love flowers. Lots and lots of flowers.

Vintagy keys and buttons are the perfect accents along with a warm and richly colored satin ribbon.

This chipboard frame and sentiment is finished to coordinate with the keys. The tiny clip also matches perfectly! These sweet little  stamp images are popped up on spacers and help to make a smallish focal image carry a little more weight.

I always like to include a few extra flowers to balance a larger arrangement.

Finishing the inside of the card is the right thing to do in my humble opinion .

You are Amazing Greeting Card

Hey there  Peeps! Ginny here to share a card I created with some of my fave chippies from Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts.  I mean… to be fair I love all the frames. But sometimes just the right  frame is  the perfect addition to a project.

I feel like this card is so sweet and whimsical with the fairy and butterfly.

The chipboard layered in creates so much depth and texture.

I’ve added a few additional elements like vintage buttons and vintagy metal keys.

Spacers between the layers to build up the scene and keep it from looking busy.

Okay..maybe it’s a little busy…but in a totally fabulous way!

A proper fairy card needs loads of flowers and I think we have the perfect amount! I’ve also tucked in some ribbon and twine to fill in this arrangement.

Picking just the right chippies….

Adding sparkle to the stars with antique gold embossing powder then adding heat to set the powder.

The frame is finished with pink embossing powder that has just a bit of gold flake in it. It was a bit too large so I snipped it in half to fit the card perfectly.

Advent Calendar with Video Tutorial

Hey there Peeps! I’m super sorry about this post going up so late. I planned to work on it last night so it could go live this morning……but we were out shoveling very late  and I was too tired to edit the video we prepared for this project.

I am really excited though to share this project. I created an advent calendar for my Dear Hubby. He loves really good beer so he will be getting one for each day of the 12 days of Christmas as a special reward just for him.

I’m using Echo Park papers with a fun retro vintage vibe.

Tiny envelopes create the pockets to tuck in the bingo cards with numbers on the back.

Fussy cut stickers are festive accents. This pocket even has twine wrapped around.

Loads of altered chipboard for dimension. Sequins are a fun detail to add and looks a bit like snowflakes.

I’ve added glitter to a few of the sentiment stickers and bling to the chipboard. You can never have enough bling…especially at Christmas.

Last but not least jingle bells, buttons, ribbon trims, and a wooden clothespin.

December Postcard ChristmasGreeting Card

Hey there all my holiday Peeps! Ready for another Christmas card? Me tooooooo!!!!

Graphic 45 will always be a go to for holiday patterns and images….and plaid….yes…more plaid.

Stacking images from the cut apart sheets from Children’s Hour helps to build a nice focal point.

A garden full of holiday inspired flowers mixed with pretty berries, and glitter accents…and of course ribbon…in plaid lol.

Chipboard corners here create a bit of a frame and since they are painted in crisp white they don’t overpower the patterned papers.

Tiny festive clip and seasonal charms are the perfect finishing touch!

A Very Merry Christmas Greeting Card with Video Tutorial

Hello there Peeps! Ginny here to share a Christmas greeting card that’s all decked out with altered chippies.

I’m in a very plaid kinda  mood this holiday season. I have three here….and believe me that is not a record for me.
The chipboard is altered to coordinate.
Layering the chipboard adds a lot of depth and texture.
There’s a festive little sentiment there too and die cut doily.
Adding sequins is the perfect finishing touch.
