You are Loved Valentine Greeting Card

Standard

Hey there Peeps! Did I mention that I love to create Valentines? I mean….I think you all have figured it out by now. So many flowers and bows and hearts…and if you’re lucky some sweet treats and snuggles. What’s not to like????

You are Loved Valentine Greeting Card Polly's Paper Studio 01

This has all the important parts right?

You are Loved Valentine Greeting Card Polly's Paper Studio 02

Inspiration comes from this fabby paper collection So Loved from Photoplay.

You are Loved Valentine Greeting Card Polly's Paper Studio 03

I’ve used darker matting and spacers between the layers for added depth and to keep it from looking busy.

You are Loved Valentine Greeting Card Polly's Paper Studio 04

Pretty poofy bow topped with twine and a vintage button and accented with a lovely bird charm.

You are Loved Valentine Greeting Card Polly's Paper Studio 05

In place of my usual die cut doily I’m using an altered chipboard frame finished off in a ballerina pink acrylic paint. I’ve added a second sweet sentiment to the top and clipped it on for good measure.

You are Loved Valentine Greeting Card Polly's Paper Studio 06

So. Many. Flowers. Tucking in some die cut leaves and tiny loopy twine bows builds up this arrangement and Stickling on the leaves adds just a hint of sparkle.

I also love flowers. Lots and lots of flowers.

Vintagy keys and buttons are the perfect accents along with a warm and richly colored satin ribbon.

This chipboard frame and sentiment is finished to coordinate with the keys. The tiny clip also matches perfectly! These sweet little  stamp images are popped up on spacers and help to make a smallish focal image carry a little more weight.

Family Greeting Card All Occasion Polly's Paper Studio 05

I always like to include a few extra flowers to balance a larger arrangement.

Finishing the inside of the card is the right thing to do in my humble opinion .

Winter Snow Day Greeting Card with G45

Standard

Well hello there Peeps! I’m sorry to share that we are still in the icy grasp of winter here in Michigan : (  We haven’t been above freezing in so long I can’t remember.  Keeping busy in my studio helps to combat the effects of the shorter colder days.

Today I’m sharing a card created with the gorgeous Seasons collection from Graphic 45. I just love that this collection is specifically seasons rather than holidays because winter does not end with Christmas ( at least not here in Michigan lol.)

Winter Snow Day Greeting Card Polly's Paper Studio 01

I also really love winter birds. They’re just so sweet and delicate.

Winter Snow Day Greeting Card Polly's Paper Studio 02

The cut aparts make it so easy to add layers.

Winter Snow Day Greeting Card Polly's Paper Studio 03

I’ve drawn inspiration for the color palate for the flower selections. Mixing sizes and textures adds so much detail. There are also tiny berry picks, ribbon, and twine tucked in to build up the arrangement.

Winter Snow Day Greeting Card Polly's Paper Studio 04

These little friends are adhered with spacers to bring in a lot of dimension. Tucking in a crisp white doily helps to break up the busy patterns. Altered chipboard snowflakes are the perfect detail for a winter themed card.

Winter Snow Day Greeting Card Polly's Paper Studio 05

I’ve brought the flowers and chippies up to the top as well to balance the larger arrangement. some are nestled under a curled layer of the cut apart.

A bit of faux snow to soften the edges of the papers and real vintage buttons complete this card.

Gate Fold Valentine Card w/Belly Band and Video Tutorial

Standard

Hey there all you fabulous friends! Well it’s the second day of the new year and we are still in a deep freeze here in Michigan. The only way to combat the stir crazies I get  from being stuck inside is to throw myself into holiday crafting.

I’ve created a sweet and simple Gate Fold Valentine Card with Belly Band.  Make sure to scroll to the end of the post for the video tutorial on how I created this card.

Adore Bingo Valentine Gate Fold Greeting Card with Belly Band Polly's Paper Studio 01

I’ve decided on a non traditional color scheme here to coordinate with the holiday bingo card.  With the band on you can see that there’s loads of paper layers and die cuts.

Adore Bingo Valentine Gate Fold Greeting Card with Belly Band Polly's Paper Studio 02

Sliding the band off to reveal the gate fold. I used the bingo card to overlap and add extra detail.

The inside is finished with coordinating patterned papers and is so so sweet with the die cut heart doily.

New Year’s Greeting Cards with Video Tutorial

Standard

Hey there Peeps! Well as you can see I’m late getting my post up again lol. Blame it on the nog and cookies : ) Or blame it on me sleeping in???? Either way I think it was worth the wait.

I’ve created some really sweet and vintagy New Year’s Greeting cards with the new Dollar Download Vintage New Years Printable from our shop.  I like the idea of New Year’s cards for just that holiday….but they come in very handy if you’ve just not gotten out all the Christmas cards….or drat forgot someone on your list and got a card from them ( it happens to all of us)  I think this is a good recovery.

You are Amazing Greeting Card

Standard

Hey there  Peeps! Ginny here to share a card I created with some of my fave chippies from Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts.  I mean… to be fair I love all the frames. But sometimes just the right  frame is  the perfect addition to a project.

I feel like this card is so sweet and whimsical with the fairy and butterfly.

The chipboard layered in creates so much depth and texture.

I’ve added a few additional elements like vintage buttons and vintagy metal keys.

Spacers between the layers to build up the scene and keep it from looking busy.

Okay..maybe it’s a little busy…but in a totally fabulous way!

A proper fairy card needs loads of flowers and I think we have the perfect amount! I’ve also tucked in some ribbon and twine to fill in this arrangement.

Picking just the right chippies….

Adding sparkle to the stars with antique gold embossing powder then adding heat to set the powder.

The frame is finished with pink embossing powder that has just a bit of gold flake in it. It was a bit too large so I snipped it in half to fit the card perfectly.

We’re creating project with the December Ribbon Club Assortment Back to Basics.a2f9d-back2bto2bbasics2bdecember2bribbon2bclub2bassortment

I think it’s very classic and sophisticated.

You should be joining me from Gloria. If you’re just joining in you’ll want to head over to the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog to start at the beginning.

I created a card that’s very stylish and even almost modern.

Joy to the World Christmas Greeting Card Polly's Paper Studio 02

I am not afraid to use dark colors on Christmas cards and I think this palate is very updated and mature.

Joy to the World Christmas Greeting Card Polly's Paper Studio 3

Of course I’m still including pretty dimensional flowers like these magnolias. I’ve given them a bit of a face lift but switching out the stamens and adding a bit of faux snow on the petals.

Joy to the World Christmas Greeting Card Polly's Paper Studio 4

I’ve layered a black doily under the arrangement to showcase the altered chipboard and patterned papers.

Joy to the World Christmas Greeting Card Polly's Paper Studio 5

This bow is really quite fabulous topped with jingle bells and tiny brush trees.

Joy to the World Christmas Greeting Card Polly's Paper Studio 6

Last but not least I’ve added a fair few vintage buttons. Just because it’s modern inspired doesn’t mean it cant have some classic details right?

Okay the next stop in the hop is Cheryl.

Merry Cardinal Bingo Christmas Greeting Card

Standard

Oh my goodness Peeps we’re in the two week countdown to Christmas. How is that even possible? It seemed like it was never gonna get here and now it will be so soon.

I’m sharing a card today that is very nature inspired and loaded with holiday detail.

Merry Cardinal Bingo Christmas Greeting Card Polly's Paper Studio 01

The cardinal image was on a sticker sheet that was on my desk for so long and although I attempted to put it away several times….I just loved that little bird so much I had to create something with it.

Merry Cardinal Bingo Christmas Greeting Card Polly's Paper Studio 02

I’ve paired it with Echo Park papers in very vintagy patterns.

Merry Cardinal Bingo Christmas Greeting Card Polly's Paper Studio 03

A garden of flowers is required for nature themed projects. Gorgeous ribbon trims fill out this arrangement,

Merry Cardinal Bingo Christmas Greeting Card Polly's Paper Studio 04

There’s a bit of faux snow along with pearly headed stick pins.

Merry Cardinal Bingo Christmas Greeting Card Polly's Paper Studio 05

To give the chipboard a more organic feel I altered it with a mottled finish and added crackling and faux snow,

Christmas Traditions Greeting Card

Standard

Hey there Peeps! I was just sitting here thinking wow we’re already done with our first week of December. Time goes by so fast this time of year.  I’m just popping in to share a very traditionally styled Christmas card and a few images from our holiday home.

Christmas Traditions Greeitng Card Polly's Paper Studio 01

I’ve gone back to plaid…but this time paired with with a pretty holiday pattern and a bold stripe.

Christmas Traditions Greeitng Card Polly's Paper Studio 02

Layered die cuts and Christmas sentiments.

Christmas Traditions Greeitng Card Polly's Paper Studio 03

Pearly accents and a die cut doily.

And perfectly coordinating flowers and ribbon trim.

Here’s a shneaky peek of one of our Christmas trees…..it has a gingerbread theme with loads of lollipops, peppermints, candies, and of course my favorite cookie…..gingerbread.

Gingerbread

All of these are ornaments of course because if it were real treats the tree would be bare by the time the holiday gets here. Just kidding….no really lol.

And here is the same tree this morning with a little furry friend come to enjoy the Christmas lights…..

Quite Morning with the Christmas Tree and Tinker Cat Polly's Paper Studio I’m hoping to get more pics today…depending on the weather. It is currently snowing ugh.
