Morning Peeps. Just a quick post today….up to my elf ears in kits around here.  I’m sharing a really retro  card I created with Canvas Corp supplies. Their Holiday Baking line is so fabulous and works for so many different styles.  This time it’s just fun and whimsical card with a cheeky little sentiment. Of course even silly cards have to be layered and embellished so that’s what I did….and I love how it turned out. Lick the Bowl Card.

Farmhouse Christmas Gift Box with Canvas Corp

Happy Sunday Paper Peeps! Today I’m sharing the second project that was created especially to be featured in CardMaker Magazine special Happy Holidays Edition.  They requested a home decor item, a card and a gift box.  I’ll bet you can guess what coming up in the next post lol. Anyhoo I’m using the beautiful patterned papers from Canvas Corp Brands Farmhouse Christmas along with ribbon trims from Really Reasonable Ribbon, and flowers from Petaloo.

It's a Wonderful Life Gift BoxYou can see how this box coordinates with the canvas frame from the previous post.  I used the Farmhouse Christmas Tags as a large label for the front and attached it by adding 4 silver eyelets to the corners and running twine through.

It's a Wonderful Life Gift Box3Still working from the Tags sheet I clipped out the snowflakes circles and added them to metal rimmed mailing tags and hung them on the ribbon handle with ball chain.

It's a Wonderful Life Gift Box2Lovely flowers from Petaloo to match the not so traditional colors of my canvas project. They are covering the top of the velcro closure to keep the contents of the box securely inside.

It's a Wonderful Life Gift Box4The inside of the box was finished with Black & Kraft Ribbon Stripe patterned paper. You can see on the lid how the ribbon handle is attached with eyelets to keep the ribbon from pulling through the paper.

It's a Wonderful Life Gift Box5This is a more personal way to present a gift card. I measured and there’s plenty of room inside for a small treat as well. Maybe a small wrapped cookie or tiny seasonal chocolates???

I’ve created a template for this box and you can find it as well as a complete supplies list in the special Happy Holidays Edition of CardMaker Magazine on craft store shelves now. I am told by my local peeps that you can also find it at Target and Meijer. Or wherever special interest publications are sold.

Okay that’s all for me. Wishing you all a happy and productive day with lots of time to be creative : ) G

For those who haven’t heard yet….I’ve joined the  Design Crew at Canvas Corp and I think it is a perfect pairing with Really Reasonable Ribbons!

New Challenge at Craft Hoarders Anonymous Challenge Blog

Hey there Peeps. What a fun new challenge we have going this time at CHACB. The design team and I are sharing our Upcycled projects made with great supplies donated by our generous sponsor Canvas Corp  We all have lot’s of bits and pieces just waiting for a little love to turn them into fabulous treasure. I’ve chosen to upcycle a little chest that I liked the shape of…but the color???? Don’t even get me started on just how bad it was.

IMG_3742-001See I told ya it was bad. But it’s got these meshy parts….and a really nice shape. 1st step….shabby spray paint!

IMG_3746And here it is now! I’ve added a beautiful Damask printed canvas panel to the back from our fabulous sponsors at Canvas Corp. I can not tell you how much I love this printed canvas!!!!! I am going to put it on everything!!!

IMG_3749I just love how the Damask looks against the chippy paint. I was able to use a canvas bag that had originally came in the wire baskets I bought for my bakers rack to hold produce to line the inside of the chest.  You can see the bag through the mesh. I’m planning to use it in my studio to store envelopes and cad bases.

IMG_3743I used a little of the canvas fringe to create a pleated ruffle  to soften the edge of my flower arraignment…then started layering. The flower in the center if handmade by moi….some have a sparkle…some are buff colored. I used several White Wild Orchid Spiral Stamens, and Antique Metal Door Pulls from Graphic 45 to anchor the light colors.

Okay now it’s your turn to get your craft on and upcycle a fabulous project then link up to play along with us in challenge 13 at Craft Hoarders Anonymous Challenge Blog. The prize for this challenge is amazing…..wish I could play along lol.

I invite you to stop on over and check out the projects shared by my fellow teamies…they are gonna knock your socks off!
