You Are So Wonderful Greeting Card

Standard

Hello there and happy Saturday! Hope you are all well in this fin February morning : )  I’m dropping in to share  a lovely country chic inspired greeting card.

You Are So Wonderful Greeting Card Polly's Paper Studio 01

Anytime I can bring together a wood grain with a floral and a doily…. I am so there.

Also this is a really sweet color combination. Has me thinking Spring….which considering how much snow we still have left outside is a long way away.

I pulled these flowers to add after being inspired by the background floral pattern.

There’s a companion pattern tucked under this rolled section on the top corner. It adds a lot of dimension.  I hung a few sweet metal charms from a vintagy button so this card could have a little bling.

More flowers here with die cut foliage layered underneath. Stickles added to the die cuts is a great way to add subtle detail.

The lovely sentiment is stacked over a doily image and additional paper layers. Actual vintage buttons are a last but not least embellishment on this old fashioned inspired card.

Silent Night Winter Birds Christmas Greeting Card with Video Tutorial

Standard

Hello everyone and welcome back! I’m sharing a lovely nature inspired Christmas greeting card today that I created using the Winter Birds Christmas Tags printable from our shop. I really do love birds in winter….well all the time really. But there’s just something so sweet about a fragile little creature out in the elements and still being lovely.

I chose the patterned papers to coordinate with the tag. The dark red paid balances the holiday foliage pattern.

These super beautiful flowers are new to RRR and I can not even tell you how much I love them!!! I’ve made a small arrangement here with the blooms and altered chipboard and glittery accents.

The die cut wreath matches the one on the tag perfectly and creates a nice base for all the layers. Adding a bit of chunky twine and a simple tied bow of satin ribbon helps to balance the flowers and tucking in a doily helps to break up the busy patterns.

I am obsessed with actual vintage buttons and I always think they are well worth the work to scour antique shops to find them…like a vintagy treasure hunt.

All I needed to finish this card was a tiny sentiment and clip in holiday green.

We’ve prepared a process video for this card so you can see how it was created.  I hope you enjoy it as much as we enjoyed making it.

Vintage Santa Bingo Christmas Greeting Card

Standard

Hey there Peeps! Did I ever tell you how much I love adding GSL chippies to my Christmas projects? Well I do…..so much. And I can alter them for any style so that makes them pretty much the perfect embellishment. For this card I’m mixing a bit of vintage with a bit of retro and I think it’s pretty fabulous!

Vintage Santa Bingo Greeting Card

I used the chipboard to create a bit of a frame for this Santa image.

I choose the colors to coordinate with the papers.

And layered them up to create a lovely focal point on this card.

Then topped it off with gorgeous flowers and holiday embellishments.

A bit of ribbon and vintage buttons and voila…Christmas perfection : )

I selected the chippies and wiped them down to prepare them for altering.

Embossing powder is a great way to add detail. I’m using silver for the frame and metallic red for the berries.

I finished the snowflakes in white with a sparkly top coat and the stars in chartreuse because it’s fun to say and it looks very vintagy.

Here’s the pan for the arrangement. It looks so festive!!!

Loving the retro and vintage style mixed up.
