A Moment in Time Birthday Card with Video Tutorial

Hey there and happy Wednesday! Ginny here to share a Birthday card with gorgeous Really Reasonable Ribbon.

Mixing plaids and gingham? Don’t mind if I do.

Adding spiral stamens really bulks up a flower arrangement and loopy string bows fills it in.

More flowers is always the right answer.

I’ve added a die cut banner with metal clip for the front of this card and finished the inside with coordinating paper patterns.

Please enjoy this video tutorial on how I created this card….

Classic Black and White Birthday Card

Hey Peeps! Ginny here to share a very classically styled Birthday greeting card.

The sentiment is simple with a bold graphic font.

Pairing stripes and florals is a striking statement in black and white.

Pretty coordinating flowers layered over the ribbon to create a nice full arrangement.

A doily die cut from flat black cardstock really anchors the sentiment and looks pretty tucked under the matching bling.

Really Reasonable Ribbon~ Diamond Satin in Black.

Wishing you a happy and productive day : ) G

I’ve paired a fun stripe with a dot pattern and bordered them with a bright cheerful green.

Coordinating flowers and ribbon trim are added and a bit of Stickles to enhance the dessert.

Last but not least a little arrangement of sequins.

Just look at that giant cake!!! In real life the slice would be a foot tall!!!

Flowers and ribbon and sequins again…because I just can’t help myself.

Cake is my Happy Place Greeting Card

Hey there Peeps! Ginny here dropping to share a funky and girly Birthday Greeting card I created with amazing chippies from Gypsy Soul and really festive patterned papers.

I’m just sayin green and pink together is the funnest!!!! And it has cake soooooo.

I painted the Flourish Frame Sienna to coordinate with the background paper and inked it just a bit then added some of the matching patterns to the  Postage Frames painted in white to build up the side of the card.

A few Flourishes painted in crisp white helps to break up the similar tones and brightens up the front.

These flowers match perfectly and add a bit of texture.

Happy Birthday Wishes Shrine

Hey there Peeps! Dropping in today to share a little gifty I made for my BFF Kathy. This little shrine is hopefully full of Birthday wishes that will come true. I’m starting with the Mini House Shadowbox 1 and adding mixed media layers, papers, eve a tiny jar of glitter in a painted trophy cup.

Birthday Wishes Shrine 1That little shadowbox is just the right size to display a few tiny treasures.  I’ve also added Wheels to make it a bit of a gypsy wagon.Birthday Wishes Shrine 2There is a fabulous aged effect on the walls of the little house created with crackle paste and layers of paints and gel stains. Metal butterflies coordinate well and add some depth.

Birthday Wishes Shrine 3Inside there’s a tiny painted trophy cup with a tiny jar of Birthday wishes….it’s actually Stampendous Shaved Ice mixed with Silvery Glass Glitter. I tied a length of silver twine and attached some matching keys. To fill in the bottom I added moss to hopefully give it a fairy quality.   I finished the inside of the shadowbox with the same aged finish…..but it’s difficult to see in the picture.

Gypsy Soul Laser Cut Supplies~ Mini House Shadow Box 1, Wheels 1inch Fancy.

Okay that’s all for me. Hope Kathy enjoys this little gifty and all here Birthday wishes come true!

Birthday Card for a Special Friend

Hey there Paper Peeps!  Ginny here to share a very special card I created for my dear friend and crafty conspirator Jennifer.  We go wayyyyyy back to when our kids were little. We actually both have an Alexander (same age now and nearly done with college) and a Jonathan (one year apart and  nearly done with high school.)   So we’ve sat together at  more football practices and band performances and scout meetings than you can count. We even have matching stadium outfits lol. Anyhoo….she’s a very special friend and I’m so glad she had a nice birthday!
