Little Birdie Loves You Greeting Card

Hey there Peeps! I’m dropping in this morning to share a sweet greeting card that’s perfect for just about any occasion with a simple greeting, gorgeous bird image, altered chipboard and of course ribbon trims from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

Little Birdie Loves You Greeting Card.

This color combination is really on trend but I’m keeping the vintage vibe going with the large floral background and details like the pearl headed pins.

This bow is created with Chevron Striped Twill in Pink topped off with Ivory Burlap String.

The altered chipboard Curly Cages bird cage is extra girly with the curvy lines and helps to separate the busy patterns.

Okay that’s all for me. Wishing everyone a happy and productive day : ) G

Parisian Layout

I was going through and organizing my paper stash the last few day to prioritize the ones that I really loved and  set aside the ones I don’t plan to use  as a donation to my favorite little scrapper guy Bryce. This kiddo makes all his own cards with the help of his Mom…and I have to say they are just the best thing to get to brighten your day : )

Sooooo…..after making a short story long….I came across this black patterned paper in of all things the Halloween folder.  For some reason that escapes me it struck me as being very French???? I did have to ink the heck out of it to give it some “age” with Distress Inks.

Sadly I do not have any photos of the Eiffel Tower that I took for myself : (  So I used the the next best thing and trimmed it from a sheet of scrap paper.  The lovely postcard image is from Graphic Fairy as well as the Greetings and Paris  sentiment. The rest of the bits and pieces were trimmed from Webster’s Pages paper.

Adding the doily helps to separate all the busy patterns as well as bring your eye to the center of the layout. I hand painted and distressed the picture frames that started as cardstock cut with the Cricut. I really love the extra little border strip of punched paper.

I added the black ribbon and folded and painted embellishment to anchor the dark colors on the outside border. There’s pretty gold netting between the flower layers and an extra fancy blingy brad center.

Lovely sentiment in a shabby green flourishy frame is topped off with more painted and inked flowers with pearly stamens. Sometimes I struggle to leave open areas on my projects….for the practice of adding something to every available space. But with so much pattern going on I felt that having somewhere for your eye to rest would be a welcome break in the design.
