Standard

Hey there friends and crafty Peeps. I’ve been a busy bee this week getting all the fabby supplies gathered and images altered and projects created.  Can you guess what I’m talking about? Oh yeah baby it’s the first Christmas in July Kit time!!!!!  I had this kit on my mind the whole time we were on vacation. I just could not wait to get it on the shop.  This time the theme is Hey Santa. It’s a little retro, a little vintage, and a whole lot of fun!  Here are the projects I created with the kit….

I used the elements of the kit and added cardstock and some bit and pieces from my stash to create these 8 full sized projects.  It was so funny when I was working along I usually have 8 images to play with hence the 8 finished projects but when I got done I had an extra image and after recounting I was all saweet bonus image! And I have plenty of extra supplies from the kit to work with so there will be a 9th project huzzah!

You can check out these projects as well as the kit by hopping on over to the shop.

Happy Holidays Christmas Greeting Card

Standard

Hello there friends and crafty peeps! Whose ready for more Christmas in July inspiration? This Girl!!!! Today’s card is sweet and simple and just perfect to gift to someone who needs and instant dose of holiday cheer!

Happy Holidays Snowman Christmas Greeting Card Polly's Paper Studio 01

I’m layering a few different paper collections for this card to create a truly unique combination. The checkered paper isn’t even a Christmas pattern..but it works great with the very subtle snowflake on light blue.

It’s easy to make smaller focal images appear larger by stacking them and adding spacers between the layers. Even a simple card needs details so I’ve brought in a die cut doily, a stacked felt and paper flower with holly leaves and some pearly bling in a champagne shade for just the perfect vintagy finishing touch.

Hello there friends and crafty peeps! Back for another installment of Christmas in July . This time I’m going a bit out of the comfort zone and using the sentiment as the focal image. I know crazy right?Do Not Open Till the 25th Christmas Greeting Card Polly's Paper Studio 01

I love that this collection has a really retro vibe going with the stylized flowers and graphic checkered pattern.

Hello there friends and crafty peeps! I’m happy to say I’m on a bit of a roll with my Christmas in July projects. I do usually get off to a good start then slowly I get off track but this year I’m going to be trying a bit harder.

Traditions Christmas Greeting Card Polly's Paper Studio 01

I super love this Classic Christmas collection from Authntique! Anything with plaid will have my heart. And vintage Santa’s!

Traditions Christmas Greeting Card Polly's Paper Studio 02

I created a bit of a hang tag with one of the images on the sticker sheet. It’s hanging from a sweet poofy bow of chevron striped twill topped with a vintage button.

This arrangement is in a wreath shape with a die cut base then layers of pretty flowers and berry picks.

A pretty crisp white die cut doily creates a nice break from the busy patterns. I’ve added a second image from the sticker sheet. This time used as a sentiment.

Cherished Greeting Card

Hello there and welcome to July! I always love the beginning of the month as I get to share the very first project I’ve created with the Ribbon Club Assortment.

I know I always say I love the assortments…which is true. But sometimes one comes along that just knocks my socks off. This is the one! It’s everything I want in a summer collection.

It inspired this card………

That floral pattern just blew me away!

I pulled papers from different collections as sort of a mix and match country inspired theme. Or should I say country chic?

And you know me….a garden of flowers is a must for all country chic cards so I gathered this arrangement from my WOC stash. I couldn’t ask for a better coordination.

I completed the card with a perfectly sized chipboard frame that has a tiny extra flowers arrangement and a sweet little birdcage charm. I’ve also added a stamped and heat embossed on velum sentiment. A sprinkling of sequins and voila a card that says summer in the most delightful way.

Joy Christmas in July Greeting Card

Standard

Hello there friends and crafty Peeps! Happy Sunday to you all : )  I am super excited to be sharing my first Christmas in July project of the year.

This chippie from Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts makes the perfect frame for this sweet little snowman image.

I’ve given it a multi layer finish with faux snow then topped it off with sparkly chipboard snowflakes.

The snowflake gets a bit of the faux snow too to give it a  frosty look.

There’s a pretty wintry collection of flowers here with some loopy twine bows to fill in the arrangement.

I couldn’t resist adding a few Christmas inspired metal charms tucked in behind a gorgeous plaid ribbon bow.

I do like the inside of cards to be finished so the papers on the outside continue once it’s opened.

I started by selecting the chippies then wiping them down to prepare them for altering.

The Flourished Circle Frame is given a base coat of soft blue green embossing powder and heated to set the finish. The Snowflakes have 1 coat of white topped off with 1 coat of sparkly embossing powder then heat set.

Last but not least a generous coating of the faux snow to give them a frosted look.
