Hello friends and crafty peeps! I’m so excited to be sharing the first project in our 13 Days of Halloween tutorial series on our YouTube channel!
This mini album is created with the Masquerade collection from Authentique Papers.
The base is a bit of a hybrid of elements from different mini’s we’ve shared in previous tutorials.
The cover has layers of the gorgeous patterned papers, festive holiday embellishments, and made by me flowers. The trims are from Really Reasonable Ribbon. I can not resist a bold check!
I had so much fun combining the patterned papers. They all work so well together you can’t go wrong.
The pockets and tuck spots have large inserts for pictures and journaling as well as the spooktacular images from the 3 x 4 cut apart cards.
Adding extra pages really helps to increase the real estate for these little albums. And give you opportunity to add more of the gorgeous paper patterns!
Don’t forget to cover the back sides of the tip ins with the coordinating patterns! This check is my favorite of the whole collection.
I used the same arrangement of the polka dot and plaid to cover the pages that can all be seen together to give it a consistent look. The center page is a top folding full sized tip that’s covered with a crisp white doily, elements from the die cut sheet and a fun little button topped flower.
Remember this is a tri-fold album with extra pages added so I repeated the arrangement I used for the left hand side giving me the chance to incorporate another of the holiday image journal cards for the tip in.
Please join me on my YouTube channel for a full tutorial on this mini…
Hello there friends and Authentique Paper fans! Ginny here to share a pair of pretty greeting cards created with the gorgeous new Splendor collection. I always love the Authentique Fall collections but this is my absolute favorite!
Naturally when I had this collection out I couldn’t stop at just one card.
The sentiment on this card comes from the die cut sheet and is so perfect for me. I live in Michigan and we have some pretty amazing Falls here with pretty changing leaves, cool crisp air, and pumpkin spice everything!
There are so many lovely paper patterns it was hard to choose so I layered up as many as I could using a cardstock border to keep them from looking too busy.
What’s better than a big ol pile of Fall leaves? Leaves arranged with coordinating flowers of course!
This card is finished with some seasonally inspired trims and embellishments.
I just love the addition of the cornflower blue in the fall color scheme. Taking the cue from the sweet tiny sunflowers in the patterned paper I choose the plaid with a nod to yellow in the background to coordinate.
I went back to that die cut sheet for the focal image and sentiment for this card. Each layer has spacers to add depth and dimension.
I’ve included a large die cut doily to accent the country feel of this card.
More of the pretty burlap flowers and matching trims to complete this card.
Hello friends and Authentique Paper fans! Ginny here with my September installment of my 4 Sheet Challenge. Every month I create a project using only the 4 pages of the Calendar Collection themed for the month. Of course this is September so it’s all about back to school. School looks a little different this year so it’s very important to document the memories so we can look back on them and laugh at how crazy it was. I have a senior in university and they are having all online classes so he’s at home needing more quiet time for when they are in session. I’m having to learn to be as quiet as a mouse so as not to disrupt their classes! And if you know me….you know quiet is not my strong suit lol.
This months project is a flip book style mini album.
I chose my favorite image from the journal card sheet and designed around it. Those vintagy school children are just so charming!
I’ve included all my favorite elements for the cover including flowers made from the off cuts of the papers, coordinating trims, a vintage button, and charm.
It seems I have not broken my pattern of keeping the stamp images together to use as a journal card for my tip in. I thought it might be nice to have a special page to add the picture from the first day of school.
Layering the patterns from the A and B side of the paper. Make sure to add a solid border between to keep them from looking too busy.
Yep. I kept the sentiment strip as a whole block to add as a tip in too!
The backs of the tip ins are covered in the collection paper for a nice finished look front to back.
Once all the pages have been flipped out on this scrapbook you can see the top folding inserts. I added another die cut doily to this center page to act as a frame for a photo.
The pages also have tuck spots. It’s a great way to add pictures or flat mementos to your book without having to adhere them to the page.
You can see how much extra space this mini has when all the pages are flipped up.
Hey there friends and crafty peeps. Today is a very special day as I’m joining in the hop to celebrate the Birthday of my very dear friend Ginger from My Sisters Scrapper. Ginger is a crazy talented crafter, a genuinely kind person, and one of my favorite people on this entire planet! I’m teaming up with Annette Green and Kathy Clement to create and share Birthday inspired projects in honor of Ginger’s big day!
I created a fun and festive Memorydex card using the Party collection from Authentique Papers.
I’m loving the retro vibe of the vintagy images.
The bright happy colors of the patterned papers was the inspiration for this Dex.
I was able to include some larger dimensional elements like this star shaped shaker and die cut layered glitter bow.
This little party pupper looks a lot like my grand dog Holly. I think I need to get her a pink hat since it looks so cute on this image.
Make sure you hop on over to the other Birthday projects…..
Hello friends and crafty peeps! There’s still plenty of time left before the weather turns to fall to get in a few more summer inspired projects. Might I recommend something with butterflies? I’ve been working away at creating the new Beautiful Butterflies Deluxe Creativity Kit. It’s chock full of pretty vintagy images, loads of patterned papers, and lots of embellishments to create butterfly themed projects. Of course I had to have a kit to play with. Perks of the job lol. Here are the projects I created…..
That’s 8 full sized projects created with the kit, cardstock, and bits and pieces from my scrap and salvage box.
Hop on over the the shop to check out the kit and see all the fabby supplies included….
Hello friends and Authentique Paper Fans! Ginny here with a sweet little card created with the all new Splendor Collection.
I’m really loving the cornflower blue background on the sunflower patterned paper! Still rich and warm but instantly updated.
I’m working with a combination of the 12 x 12 and 6 x 6 inch papers.
There’s a double layer of matting here. First the Mustard Seed is a Spectrum cardstock and it coordinates so perfectly. Next a layer of chocolaty brown to anchor the light patterns.
This frame was created by cutting the plaid pattern with an inside scalloped edge die. I popped it up on spacers to add depth and dimension. The focal point is an image from the die cut sheet with a sentiment and a tiny heart. I think it’s perfectly charming.
Last but not least an arrangement of matching flowers and fall foliage.
Hello friends and crafty Peeps! Ginny here to share my very first Memorydex card. Yes I know all the cool kids have been making them for ages! I’m not really one to get into all the crafty things but this one got me even after years of avoiding it lol.
I decided to start out with a Halloween theme as I knew I had plenty of ready made ephemera to pile on to make getting to the fun faster and easier.
I created a fabulous ruffle for this card with pretty sheer organza to add texture and dimension. I’m not the most expert seamstress but it really wasn’t hard to add a running stitch to the ribbon and gather it up for fullness.
Being only 4 inches wide this card came together in a snap. I’ll be making these all the time now and creating a great place to store my pictures and memories!
