Good Ol’ Sport Wallet Fold Mini with Tags for Graphic 45

Hey there Peeps! Well we’re finally getting some nice warm summery weather and I’ve been spending as much time outdoors as possible. A little too much yesterday as I’ve got myself quite a sunburn from being out on the tractor too long. Gonna spend the day recuperating in my shop working on some projects for a new kit coming out tomoorw…so I’ll be nice and cool..and covered in ink and glue lol.

I have a really fabulous project lined up for you today though…and just in time for a little Father’s Day crafting! And there’s also a Snapguide tutorial so make sure you check that out and you can make a Good Ol’ Sport Wallet Fold Mini with tags for yourself.

Good Ol' Sport Wallet Album 1 You can create this mini with 1 sheet of kraft paper.  I used the kind you get from the home improvement store when you’re covering hardwood floor. Why? It’s much thinner so it gives  perfectly tight crease lines and won’t get as bulky when you fold it up. #2 You can make them any size you want….as long as you can cut a perfectly square shape. I will say that the smaller you go….the more bulky it is so I wouldn’t go less that 10 inches. For this project I used a 12 x 12 square. Make them larger..and you’ll have room for the larger tags.

Good Ol' Sport Wallet Album 2

You can see now that you’ll get two pockets on the inside…and two pockets on the edges of the book.

Good Ol' Sport Wallet Album 3I’m using the paper patterns from the Good Ol’ Sport line from Graphic 45. The smaller paper pads are awesome to use for projects that need little prints.

Good Ol' Sport Wallet Album 4I used the sticker sheet to create tabs on these tags so they will look nice tucked into the book and will pull out easily.

Upcycled Mini Wallet Fold Tag Album featuring Charmed from BoBunny

Hello there friends!  I’ve got a bit of a recycling project for you today. I have created a wallet fold mini album with the packaging from an online order and the gorgeous Charmed collection from BoBunny.  I’ve made this style of mini in the past and been frustrated at the bulkiness of  cardstock I used for the base.  But I found a great solution to this when I unboxed a package and the “filler” paper was just the perfect thinness to be creased well and not get poofy when folded. I simply cut it down to a 12 x 12 inch piece and it was just perfect!

Since this scrapbook is a mini I was able to use the gorgeous cut apart to be the focal image.  I added Double Dot Jewels, fussy cut images, and a few flowers and trim to finish off the front cover.
Inside the mini there are pockets to hold tags. There is room for pictures and mementos to be tucked in with the tags so this would make a really thoughtful gift. The tags are topped with a bit of trim to coordinate with the outside.

The pockets are lined with companion papers. Not only doe this give the pocket a nice finished look but adds sturdiness. The tags have sentiments from the sticker sheet.

The outside pockets have tabbed topped tags with more of the fussy cut images. The back is for photos and journaling.

The outside tags are similar but different for a nice coordinated look.

Please enjoy this process video I’ve prepared for you on how I created this mini album….

Mini for Halloween

I thought I may as well keep working on the Halloween projects while I had the supplies out : ) I’ve been crafting away and watching reruns of Sherlock on Netflix. I just can’t seem to get enough BBC shows lol. Pretty soon I’ll be speaking with an accent. Today I’m sharing a fabulous mini album…created with a wallet fold to hold tabbed topped tags. The front of course is vintagy and has lot’s of trims and buttons.

Lot’s of room on these tags for pictures and journaling. The inside pockets hold additional tags with a bit of room leftover for small mementos. I’m loving these glittery stickers.  The inside page is a stationary tag that helps keep the ribbon closure in place. I’ve used a variety of paper patterns and mix and matched them throughout…most from My Mind’s Eye. All the trims are from Really Reasonable Ribbon .

Thinking of other fun Halloween projects to work on today when the Peep’s come in to play. This will be a great day. Hope your day is happy and productive and you find some time to be creative : ) G

P.S. I’ve listed this mini in the Etsy shop. Why not hop on over and check it out : )

Mini with Pockets

My friend Mary is a devoted fan of youtube scrapbook projects. She came into the shop yesterday and shared with me a very special folding technique to make a “paper wallet” You know there is nothing I won’t try when it comes to paper. LOL. Once I had the folding done….I attempted to bind them into a book but alas the inside pages stuck out. What to do??? Cut the wallet in half and stitch up the open edges and voila sturdy little book pages with pockets!!!!! YAY . I added lots of embellishments, and ribbon  and of course buttons. I covered some of the tags in awesome sheet music and crown images from Graphic Fairy.

Acrylic calendar pages, crown covered tag, tiny satiny wings and ribbon trim.

Vine and butterfly rubbon on ephemera pay ticket.

Calendar tag and glittery butterfly.

Pretty metal crown charm.

Loving the rose rubbon on this sweet checkered pattern paper : )

These tags pull out from special pockets on the edge of the pages.

These tags pull out from inside the book.

ribbonclubmarchlge_2014Isn’t this just the bestest Spring collection? It’s about all the Spring we get around these parts….they’re calling for another huge snowstorm to  come through overnight. As much as my kiddo likes to have a snow day…I myself am not too keen on all the shoveling.

Ready to hop? You should be joining me from my B.O.L.B. (my online Bestie)  Kathy. If you’re just getting started you need to click HERE to start at the beginning so you don’t miss out on any of the awesomeness.

For my project I did a wallet fold mini album with some sweet little tags using the A Ladies’ Diary and Once Upon a Springtime papers from Graphic 45 .

IMG_3156IMG_3158-001IMG_3159-001IMG_3160-001This mini is small…but with six pull out tags it packs a whole lotta room for pictures and journaling. I added a bit of Stickles for detail and some pretty dimensional paper roses.

I hope you enjoyed my project : ) It was loads of fun to make!

The next stop in the hop is Jessie. Don’t forget to leave the ladies a little love for sharing their projects.

I’m wishing  you all  a happy and productive day and find some time to be creative : ) G

Pretty Pockets for Jane Day

Another lovely day to work with my dear friend Jane : )  I’m always more in the mood for shabby chic colors and roses when Jane comes to play.  And of course there has to be lot’s of buttons.

I was so excited when I saw this image from Graphic’s Fairy that I nearly fell out of my chair. It’s just perfect for Jane!!!! She said it reminded her of ballerina shoes. She is so right. And just the perfect color pink!

I created a simple wallet fold mini album that has pockets for tags. I’ve made these before…but with more pages and rings for binding…this time I wanted the cover to have just one bow…so I added the page between the pockets.  The pages are actually made from small glassine bags : ) The sweet girl image here is from a sheet of Pink Paislee paper.  So is the tag with the bird.

I filled in some spots with trimmed doily’s from a sheet from My Mind’s Eye.

I inked all the tags and added a reinforcing dot. I elected not to add ribbon to the tags to keep this little book from getting too bulky.

These little pockets are very sturdy…and just the right size for gift cards. I’ll be making lot’s of these for Christmas and baby showers! I used my newest favorite Picket Fence Distress Stain to cover the edges around the paper. It gives it a nice finished look…and saved me from being super precise with the measuring.

Jane made a set of beautiful tags to display her vintage buttons. She uses them as decoration on a silvery Christmas tree that she keeps up all year in her craft studio. So lovely!!!!

I’ve added this Shabby Chic Mini to my Etsy shop. Hop on over and have a look : )
