Day 8 of 13 Days of Halloween Boo Mini Album

Hey there fans of Halloween! Ginny here to share the project I created for day 8 of our 13 Days of Halloween Tutorial Series on our YouTube channel. I’m working with some fun Dollar Tree supplies and the Howl collection from Fancy Pants Designs.

This sweet little album started out as a humble spiral bound index card notebook. I think it’s glow up is a success! I’m also using some not so spooky stickers from the DT to embellish the cover and pages inside. A little trim, some fun charms and sequins and this cover is perfectly festive!

These tabbed dividers were included in the cover so I added some holiday words made with my old school Dymo label maker.

Since the cards inside are a standard index card measurement of 3 x 5 I was able to get the maximum use out of a 6 x 6 paper pad creating very little off cuts.

I removed all but 12 of the cards inside so I could add all the patterned paper layers without so much bulk. This is still a chunky album though once all the cards were covered!

I sorted the patterned papers in the tablet into the larger all over prints and the smaller more compact designs so I could use them as layering elements without the pages looking too busy.

I utilized the remaining stickers not used on the cover to decorate the inside.

An assortment of glitter papers are die cut into star shapes and added to the book using glue only in the center so pictures can be slid underneath for a fun layered look.

I treated each set of pages as a 2 page layout since you can see them both at the same time. This book will be so cute when pictures and memories of the holiday are added : )

Please join me for a tutorial….

Make sure you come back tomorrow for day 9. Wishing everyone a happy and productive day : )
