Hello Sunshine Greeting Card

Standard

Hello there friends and crafty peeps! I’m inspired by the warmer weather and glorious sunshine to create a bright and cheerful greeting card.

Hello Sunshine Greeting Card Polly's Paper Studio 03

Okay let me tell you how much I love this color combination! It’s just so happy!!!

Hello Sunshine Greeting Card Polly's Paper Studio 02

There’s a nice layering of fussy cut journal cards with a sticker sentiment.  I think that wood grain pattern adds a lot to this arrangement.

Has anyone noticed yet that plaid is my go to pattern? LOL

Hello Sunshine Greeting Card Polly's Paper Studio 04

Here’s a combination of ready made and made by me flowers layered with loopy bows, die cut foliage and glitter cardstock accents.

Plaid on plaid? Yassss!!!! A poofy bow tied from a bold check topped with twine and a perfectly coordinating epoxy topped brad.  Did I forget to mention the bee charm, sequins, and vintage buttons?

Flawless Greeting Cards

Standard

Hello friends and Authentique fans! Ginny here to share a pair of cards created with the super beautiful Flawless collection.  2 very differently styled cards with the same patterned papers and images.

Oh how I love a girly collection!

For the first card I’m going with a 5 x 6 1/2 inch card with a profile orientation.

The die cut from the collection is very fun and graphic. I think it makes the card more modern looking.

I stacked up quite a few layers of the patterned papers with the plaid showing in the background.

Pretty dimensional flowers are arranged here with die cut foliage and loopy twine bows.

I used a rectangle die with a scalloped edge to create some separation between the busy patterns.  The card is finished with a poofy bow and shiny metal charm.

For this card I’m going for a 6 x 6 square design.

Changing the tone of the patterns to more of a lighter hue and switching out the focal image for one that is more vintagy really gives this card a different look.

I’m using the Sandy Beach Spectrum cardstock for both of these cards.

A similar layout for the flowers but this time I swapped the gray flowers for one with the tiniest bit of lavender and gold accents in the centers.

To help the small die cut to look like more of a focal image I layered it onto die cuts of the patterned papers and a scalloped gold foil. There’s also spacers between to add depth and dimension. To coordinate with the gold accents I changed the ribbon color to a gold and added a bronze metal charm.

Choose to Shine Mini Tag Album

Standard

Hello friends and crafty peeps! Ginny here with a project inspired by a deep dive into my stash .  I’m working toward destashing a bit to clean and organize and these supplies are in the use it up bin.

Choose to Shine MIni Tag Album Polly's Paper Studio 01

I created this album with the gorgeous Nature Sketchbook collection from Graphic 45. One of my all time favorites.  The base is constructed from one of their calendars. I never used it for it’s intended purpose but I hung onto the thick sturdy pages.

Choose to Shine MIni Tag Album Polly's Paper Studio 02

Of course I’ve layered on all the pretty bits on top. The rings have perfectly coordinating trims from RRR.

Choose to Shine MIni Tag Album Polly's Paper Studio 03

The pages inside are covered with the collection papers matted with black cardstock.

Choose to Shine MIni Tag Album Polly's Paper Studio 04

Including border strips and die cuts are a great way to add detail without bulking it up.

You can even have pockets created with the off cuts from creating the tags. It’s a good use of scraps!

These tags pull out from the side. Each is covered with coordinating papers from the collection.

Fresh Flowers Greeting Card with Tutorial

Standard

Hello friends and crafty peeps! Ginny here with some spring inspiration. Because it was snowing at the time I created this card. I so desperately wish for it to be warmer especially considering we’re at the tail end of April.

Fresh Flowers Greeting Card Polly's Paper Studio 03

What says spring more that fresh flowers?  This collection is Spring Farmhouse from Simple Stories.

Fresh Flowers Greeting Card Polly's Paper Studio 02

You all know me well enough to know that I picked this collection for it’s gorgeous buffalo plaid.

I’m using a scalloped edge square die in place of my regular doily to perfectly frame this journal card for a lovely focal image.

I created these flowers to match and finished the arrangement with coordinating ribbon trims.

Dear Friend Greeting Card

Standard

Hello there friends and crafty peeps! Ginny here with an all occasion greeting card created with gorgeous trims from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

I’m hoping to evoke some warm spring feelings with the pretty crisp green of this all occasion greeting card. Considering it was just snowing here in mid-Michigan only 2 days ago we can really use some.
I think the cacti theme is a bit different than my usual vintagy flowers but I love it anyway.
I like to create cards that can be used for any occasion. You just never know when you’ll need to be ready for a Birthday, or a get well , or a thinking of you.
This pretty Chevron Striped Twill in Celery coordinates perfectly with my color scheme and it makes the bestest poofy bows!

I’ve added some matching flowers arranged with loopy twine bows for the perfect finishing touch.

Pretty Pink Bicycle Greeting Card

Standard

Hello friends and crafty peeps! Well it’s still super cold this morning but I’m happy to report that the snow has melted and I am thankful for that. I’ve thinking spring today with this greeting card.

Pretty Pink Bicycle Greeting Card Polly's Paper Studio 03

Oh how I love a pink and black combination. Especially with polka dots!

Pretty Pink Bicycle Greeting Card Polly's Paper Studio 02

The image is so sweet. I’ve always wanted a pink bicycle with a flower basket.  Unfortunately we live on a dirt road with gravel so that’s just not a practical choice lol.

Pretty Pink Bicycle Greeting Card Polly's Paper Studio 01

I cut the paper layers with a nested die. I’m loving the scalloped edge : )
