Baby Mini Album Scrapbook

Standard

Hello there friends and crafty peeps! I’ve got a sweet little mini to share today that was inspired by some adorable stickers I found at the Dollar Tree. I admit I don’t make too many specifically baby themed projects. Mostly because we’re not quite in the season of life where we have grand kids. Nor do I have any friends who are having babies.  But these stickers stole my heart as soon as I saw them. Softly colored with stylized images that we not too cartoony. They’re layered and have some glitter accent so of course they went straight into the cart lol.

I chose the colors to coordinate sticking mostly with soft greens and yellows. The Meadow collection from Authentique Papers was a great match and I do so love to get use out of prints from my stash that I still like but are not current collection.

Even though this mini comes in at only 5 x 5 1/2 inches I still added an arrangement of large flowers because they have a great impact and helps to cover a lot of space. I created the book base with layers of 110 lb cardstock so it’s extra sturdy and with the patterned papers added it’s quite chunky and heavy!

There’s a few layers of paper here with the plaid being the background. The tiny flower print is matted with the soft green and added with a spacer to add depth.  The sicker has lots of layers too but only 1 foam adhesive on the back so I added more to support all the smaller sticking out bits. Pretty trims from Really Reasonable Ribbon are used to create a bow for the spine and to hang charms on.

Inside the book there’s  combinations of the patterned papers for a similar but different look to the pages. This wood grain pattern already had a flower detail so I didn’t want to cover it with anything. This will be a nice place to add a larger photo. The left side has more of the wood with a generous strip of the plaid to break up the dark background. The moon sticker looks really sweet on the die cut frame and flower print.

This set of pages has a faux instant photo frame adorned with coordinating flowers and a different combination of the patterned papers.  I used the scrap wood grain to die cut a tag and added it as a layer under the doily and turtle sticker.

The left side has a full page tip in so there’s plenty of room to add pictures and journaling.

I love how this mini flower print incorporates all the colors from the collection and makes a great background. The inset section has a neutral print that is not contrasting so journaling can be added.

I think this mini would make a lovely gift to new parents (or grand parents) filled with pictures and treasured family memories.

  1. Ginny, do you have a tutorial that shows how to make the base of the mini for the baby book. I would like to make one for my godchild. Not sure how the pages were added. Thanks for sharing all your beautiful projects
