I created the sweetest pocket and filled it with holiday goodness! Obviously me being a cat person I was inspired by that oh so charming kitty with it’s big red bow with polka dots.  For the record….my cats would never tolerate wearing a bow like that even if they did look extra festive.

In my humble opinion you can never add too many layers to a Valentine project. Just like adding more love! The focal image was part of one of the cut apart sheet. I simply fussy cut it out of the background for the perfect size to stack onto die cut hearts. There’s also elements from the sticker sheet for added detail. Spacers help to keep the layers from looking too busy.

Handmade flowers are my current obsession and I arranged some sweet blooms here with die cut foliage, glitter hearts, loopy twine bows, and of course I worked in some plaid.

The pocket is extra roomy to hold not only these coordinating inserts but also a sweet treat or two.

I think it looks festive even without being filled. I’ve topped the pocket off with more of those great stickers and alternating paper patterns.

Tucked into the pocket is a z fold insert and decorated tag. When you fill a pocket make sure to include different shapes and sizes so you get a nice full effect with all the layers showing.

All the surfaces on the insert are covered in the collection paper. I’m using Bubble Gum Spectrum cardstock and it matches perfectly!

The B side of this paper pattern was a great compliment to the front so I used them both!

I hope this inspires you to create something for your special someone to let them know they are loved! Wishing you all a happy and productive day….G

  1. Every element of this project is speaking to my creative brain! So cute! I’m prone to just using a flat back pearl for flower centers, but seeing all your poinsettias, and these beautiful blooms, has convinced me to give cluster stamens a try. Your multiple stamens have a more dramatic effect and I really like that. Thanks, Ginny! Love that red plaid print!
