Terrific Tags Challenge for Funkie Junkie Boutique

Hey there friends and crafty peeps! I’m so excited to be sharing my first challenge at the Funkie Junkie Boutique Blog.

“Do you love to create tags? I know I do. Not only are they fun to make but they’re also practical.  Whether you need to add a sentiment to a gift or label a tasty homemade treat you can count on tags. I also like to add them to card fronts or include them in my home decor. For this challenge create a tag with your own personal style. It can be large or small.  Let us know in your post what you’re going to use your tag for so we can be inspired by your creativity. “

I’m working with the beautiful Pink Christmas Collection from Stamperia for this very large and layered tag. I simply pulled out the blue tones and the not holiday specific tag cut aparts and it works great for a vintage style.

There are actually 5 tag shapes here all stacked up with spacers between for added depth and dimension.

I selected these pretty flowers to coordinated with the printed roses on the tag focal image. To help fill in this arrangement I included some Skeleton Leaves die cut from crisp white cardstock and gold accents in the form of filigree charms. There’s gold netting here as well to continue the color pallate and some loopy twine bows.

There’s a simple doily here included to help break up the colorful layers and an additional metal charm. Some of the layers have been distressed for extra texture and detail. A simple bow and bit of twine at the top and this tag is complete.

Now it’s your turn to create a fantastic tag and link up with us at the Funkie Junkie Boutique Blog to play along!

The winner will earn a chance to be a Guest Designer at a future date here at The Funkie Junkie Boutique blog, and everyone who enters and follows the rules will go into the draw for the chance to win a $25 spending spree at The Funkie Junkie Boutique. There are also Top 3 Badges for three additional outstanding entries, chosen by the Design Team.

The guidelines for entering are simple; create a new vintage or shabby chic project following the challenge theme, link it below to your post (not just your blog) and also include a link back to this challenge in your post. You can combine our challenge with up to 10 challenges (including this one) to be in with a chance of winning. If you are entering through a public forum (such as Instagram) you’ll need to include the words ‘Funkie Junkie Boutique Challenge‘. Also, please be sure to turn off your Word Verification so our Design Team can leave comments on your blogs. Make sure you follow these rules as unfortunately, we have had to eliminate entrants from the prize draws in the past.
