Good morning to you friends and crafty peeps! Ginny here from the frosty north to share a sweet and primitive styled greeting card for the holiday…
This card is chock full of homespun details. The little star ornament was easy to create and I was able to use a nearly forgotten about tool. Use it or loose it!
I’ve even upcycled a stem from some flowers to create the hanger for this dimensional star. Of course I’ve added a bit of burlap twine here for texture.
Actual vintage buttons are a must for all primitive inspired projects as is plaid. I’ve kept the Kraft color working on the base of the card to create a generous sized border.
Details must be kept sweet and simple so I’ve added only one flower with some die cut greenery, smallish snowflakes, twine, and tiny candy cane charms.
There’s loads of depth here from spacers between the layers. Faux snow added to the edges helps to bring a frosty detail.
Want to see how I created this card?
Wishing everyone a happy and productive day : ) G
