Hello there friends and crafty peeps! Of course I have another Christmas card to share today! This time I worked in a more shabby chic color pallate and added vintagy lace.
I think it turned out kinda dreamy!
I would never have guessed that I would enjoy so much this sized card. Sometimes a new challenge is all you need to spark creativity.
All of these lace layers creates loads of texture.
The chipboard frame works really well to make a focal point of a smaller image. I topped it with a glitter star and an actual vintage button.
To get the perfect shabby chic look I layered hand made by me flowers with some from Little Birdie Crafts and filled in the arrangement with tiny frosted pine cones, pearl headed stick pins, loopy twine bows and glitter stars.
Even the sentiment is popped up for extra dimension.
Faux snow and die cut border strips add subtle detail and the pearls are the perfect finishing accent.
Hello there friends and crafty peeps! Ginny back to share another Christmas greeting card. Seems like I can not get enough of creating holiday cards. So much fun to get into the Christmas mood.
I love this color combination. So classic. And the plaids that make me so happy!
This is the best combination of old and new. I reached into my stash for this sweet holiday journal card then combined it with some new to me plaid.
Handmade flowers are layered with die cut foliage, and little loopy twine bows for a festive arrangement.
Adding a simple clip here for detail on this journal card. I’m using a double layer of matting to brighten up what would have been a dark card with just read and black. The white really helps the layers to pop.
Speaking of layers…..I’ve added spacers between them to build up loads of dimension.
Hello there friends and crafty peeps! Time for another fun kit. This time the theme is Traditional Christmas. I love the warm rich colors of the patterned papers and the festive images. I’ve added loads of fun holiday inspired embellishments like twine and tinsel, clips and clothespin, bells and evergreen, bling strip and silver snowflakes.
Hello there friends and crafty peeps!Dropping in to share some cards I created with the super gorgeous Solitude collection from Authentique Papers.
This collection manages to be woodland inspired and vintagy at the same time. I really love the rich dark colors.
The inspiration for this card was that lovely image on one of the cut aparts. I used a circle die to cut out just the part I wanted to feature as a focal point.
Instead of my usually very structured floral arrangement I went for a more organic free flowing one.
Tucking in twine and leaves helps to fill in the space.
I’ve also added some painted wooden snowflakes for added detail.
The second card I created with the collection is my new fav card shape! It’s such a unique space to fill that it stretched my creativity on how to achieve the balance and generous amount of details I like to add.
These flowers are hand made by me using my poinsettia die and sparkly glitter paper. I love the frosted affect without adding any other mediums. Instead of leaves for this arrangement I added branchy die cuts that are topped with Stickles.
I used that circle die again to create the focal image and this time gave it a border of the green cardstock used for the matting. This card is also topped with faux snow and textured for a more vintagy look.
