Hey there Paper Peeps! Ginny here today to share a set of fun and easy to make frames I created with rulers! These are fabby to display any type of vintagy and kid art. Simply measure and trim them out to the size you need and add a little stain to warm up the color. You could easily substitute a spray like Glimmer Mist or any fluid ink to customize the colors to match your project. Just make sure it’s sheer so you can see the ruler markings through it…all the measurement lines are the fun part of the frame! This is a great kid craft if you help them do the cutting.I’m going for a vintagy look so I chose a pretty Vintage Photo Chalkboard and Shabby Pink digital image and printed it to the size I wanted to make the frames. Once they were printed I adhered them to lightweight chipboard to give them some sturdiness then added the rulers. You can finish them with an easel backing so they can be propped on a shelf or add small roping with simple knots to hang on the wall. This sweet little girl has a fair few Petaloo flowers that coordinate. I thought it was important to add the cream colored Garden Rosettes to lighten up the arrangements. They also add a lovely depth.I’m very pleased with how well the ribbon coordinates with these scrumptious flowers. The roping really helps to add texture.More Blooms and leaves for this corner and a simple bow. This image was a bit smaller and more squarish so I decided to add flowers to only the bottom corner to make it less clunky.I added a few extra layers to this bow like the twine and vintage button.
There’s more layers for this corner too. Along with the large dimensional flowers I added a burlap DIY flower and some Queen Anne’s Picks since they’re lacy and beautiful.
Okay that’s all for me. I hope I’ve inspired you to make some frames with your little ones and create art you can all enjoy! Wishing all of you a happy and productive day with lots of time to be creative : ) G
