Hey there Paper Peeps! Ginny here to share a project I created that is chock full of shabby chic and country charm. These tiny purses were really fun to make and would be an awesome project to work on with the kiddos. I started with itty bitty pre-made canvas totes and added layers of pretty Petaloo flowers, ribbons and trims and buttons.
I think these little bags are too precious. Couldn’t you just imagine presenting someone with a gift card tucked inside? Or hanging them on little hooks to be displayed as shabby country décor? This bag is my favorite of the two. I layered on some extra wide printed canvas and chevron ribbons with crisp white lace and chose the flowers and berry picks to match. An additional layer of lace at the top has some perfectly coordinated buttons. The combination of the rough fabrics, the burlap flowers and shiny picks and so much texture. This little bag was just a bit bigger so I chose bigger blooms to create a nice border at the top. A double band of lace at the bottom is covered with a coordinating striped canvas ribbon and buttons.
These velvety blooms remind me of millenary flowers. I added some darker purple wrinkle ribbon and twine to anchor the lighter colors.

Hey there Peeps! Well I’m almost out of time to post the much asked for Retro Christmas Creativity Kit 2016 as a Christmas in July event. We’ve had lots of fun goings on around here keeping us busy. But I really think it was worth the wait lol. I had soooo much fun creating with this kit!!!! Like for reals. I’ve been hunkered down in my studio with glitter and tinsel and flip flops and tank tops. Anyhoo I’ll share the projects first.
I mean can we all just agree this is the best kit I’ve created so far??? So totally festive and bright and cheerful. This kit has really fun retro images I’ve painstakingly edited to enhance the colors and correct tiny flaws from age. There’s also perfectly coordinating patterned papers and prettied satin bows.
This years Retro Christmas Creativity kit 2016 is just chock full of awesomeness! Anddd I got it listed before July was over lol.
Okay that’s all for me. We’re off to tennis tournament and scouts. See told ya we’ve got a lot going on. Wishing you all a happy and productive day with lots of time to be creative : ) G
Hey there Paper Peeps! Ginny here dropping in to share a fabby project I created with the new release dies!I had lots of fun with this tag….and you know I love cats so it’s just pur-fect for me lol. I started with a simple layered base 4 x 6 of black cardstock with festive and fun Halloween paper attached with chipboard spacers. I’ve also notched the corners. I super love this Whimsical Halloween Cat 4 piece Set. I wanted to layer this cute kitty over patterned papers so I added a French Pastry Doily and cut a small circle in more neutral pattern to display him. I also used foam spacers to build it up off the surface. There’s a bit of coordinating bling in the background along with some fabby matching ribbon and to make this arrangement perfect I added Feathers cut from the background paper and embellished with a bit of Stickles. Rather than using the entire sentiment from the die set I elected to just use the Cat-O-Ween part and created a bit of a banner curled to add dimension and attached with tiny wooden clothespins. I gave this cool cat a little bling for his bow tie to coordinate with the larger blingy accents in the background. Last but not least I wrapped a bit of twine around the bottom of the tag. ~Cheery Lynn Designs Supplies~

Hey there Peeps! Ginny here to share a card I created to get a jump on the Christmas projects I need to prepare for the holiday. There’s never enough time when you’re cooking and shopping and decking the halls.
Merry Traditional Santa Greeting Card
The background for this card is an embossed and inked crème colored cardstock with layers of altered chipboard pieces, vintage Santa image, flowers, ribbon and berry picks.I created some sweet little windows with the 4 Panel Square Window Set. Just a quick base coat of flat white acrylic paint and a little inking on the edge then adhered to velum and given a faux icicle effect. Victorian Corners 2 were given a quick heat embossing with white embossing powder then attached to the corner of the window frameThe Brick Wall texture helps to fill the corner and creates a nice base for the Medallions Stars.
A pair of coordinating flowers added under and over the corner of this vintage digital image are a nice finishing touch.I added a nice collection of flowers and glittery branches and berries along with polka dotty ribbon, burlap twine, and a stamped sentiment.

Hey there Peeps! Ginny here dropping in to share a card I created with fabby trims from Really Reasonable Ribbon, gold foiling, flowers and die cuts.
Imagine Balloon Card.
These are pretty papers from BoBunny along with the gold foiling.
This gorgeous bow was created with Champaign Striped Chevron Twill, Antique Gold Burlap String, and pretty flowers. Layers of die cuts are topped with graphically patterned papers, metal gears and additional flowers. The focal image here is a hand colored stamp tucked just into a chipboard zipper. I added the sentiment with a little volume worked in, and finished the card with an additional stamped balloon, berry pick, gold mesh, acrylic film strip and metal clip.

Hey there Paper Peeps! Ginny here to share a card I created with the fabby Cheery Lynn Designs Dies, layered patterned papers and a little mixed media. This card starts with an A2 sized card base with a generous amount of texture paste embossing. Then the layering begins….lots of patterns separated by solids, additional dies for texture, Stickles, vintage buttons and trim. This lovely flower is created with the Rose and Leaves Die. A little bending and pulling and it took a nice shape then I filled in some of the gaps with Mercury Glass Stickles. There’s more glitter on the leaves as well.In the very background I’ve added a Mirror Mirror Doily Frame cut from white cardstock. For the focal section there’s a French Pastry Doily cut from the patterned paper. I love the script. This doily was too wide for where I wanted to put it so I clipped a small bit of the side off….and flipped around the extra little piece and layered it on as well. You can never have enough layers!Adding the Fanciful Flourish Left die cut from white helps to fill the space and create the illusion of a larger flower arrangement.
I created a little more texture for the background with the Lattice Die
glued down to the patterned paper and trimmed to size.
I’m not going to go as far as saying this card is monochromatic….but it’s low contrast makes it seem very vintagy and dreamy.

Hey there Paper Peeps! Ginny here to share a sweet little frame project I created with lots of great GSL chippies and loads of mixed media supplies.
Mixed Media Dragonfly Frame
I found this frame with itty bitty windows and thought it would be a fun way to incorporate lots of small elements. First I took it apart and removed the glass. Then I traced where with window openings would be so I’d know where to place all the bits and pieces. I created the background first with inks and stamps in the color scheme I wanted to use on the focal elements. For added texture I layered in the Brick Wall chippie painted in flat white. Next came the Scribble Frame in black for contrast. Then the gears were painted gold and given a light coat of stain for an aged patina.
The Filigree Frame was finished with the same steps as the gears then a couldn’t resist topping it off with some coordinating bling. A few small and simple stamped sentiments are really just perfect for this size frame.
A generous amount of flowers to fill in this corner along with a fancy stick pin, some altered clock hands and twine bows. There’s also a bit of gold mesh tucked in behind.
I may have gotten a little carried away with this Dragonfly…..but once I was on a roll it was hard to stop. I started with a base coat of white then colored and shaded with watercolor pencils. Using archival ink I stamped on the itty bitty typography. I added a nice finished edge with a black Big Brush marker and colored in the body portion. Next I layered on additional clock hands with the same gold and stain finish as the rest of the elements and secured them with a touch of glue to hold them in place while I wrapped the wire around and added beads. The wire did add a bit of bulk in the back…but it fits down nicely between the frame openings so it does not cause the dragonfly to stick out yay!
