These cards are all 5 x 6 1/2 inch. I had so much fun matching the retro images to the paper patterns like chevron and poinsettias and ornaments and wood grain. This kit has 63 pieces so there’s plenty of papery pretties to create cards or a banner or tags or labels for tasty treats! retro christmas creativity kitCheck out this link for details and a list of whats included in the kit Retro Christmas Creativity Kit 2015. Hooray for the Red White and Blue Patriotic Picnic Centerpiece

Hey there Peeps! Well you all know how crazy we are for summer holidays here at Polly’s. Not only are we fiercely patriotic but my Hubbies Birthday is on the 4th so we have lots or reason to celebrate!!! I created a picnic centerpiece for Graphic 45 filled with a star spangled floral display complete with paper pinwheels andddd it’s in a mason jar which makes it more awesome anddd it has a jar cozy with sections to hold napkins and utensils. So it’s pretty much the most pretty and practical centerpiece ever!!!

Home Sweet Home Floral Centerpiece Napkin and Utensil Holder 1  Of course I’m using Home Sweet Home with it’s homespun charm and patriotic color scheme!

Home Sweet Home Floral Centerpiece Napkin and Utensil Holder 6I created the jar cozy with the Staples Tag Album. It will make switching out the flowers easier  and will prevent drips on the pretty papers.

Home Sweet Home Floral Centerpiece Napkin and Utensil Holder 7My dear Hubby found these carnations for me to arrange with the glittery stars made with real glass glitter and the paper pinwheels made from the 6 x 6 paper pad and Staples Metal Brads.

Home Sweet Home Floral Centerpiece Napkin and Utensil Holder 2Four cozy compartments to hold napkins and utensils. Instead of the cups we used to use that would blow over in the wind lol.

Home Sweet Home Floral Centerpiece Napkin and Utensil Holder 3I gave each compartment a different but similar look using the coordinating chipboard.

Home Sweet Home Floral Centerpiece Napkin and Utensil Holder 4These Petaloo flowers are actually supposed to be for Christmas…but they matched perfectly to my color scheme so I went with it.

French Chalkboard Labels Pocket with Tags

Hey there Paper Peeps! We’re knee deep in the summer activities schedule here and loving every minute of the warm weather!!! But a busy schedule will not keep me from my studio and this week I’ve created a lovely little pocket filled with tags. It’s a thoughtful way to present a gift card or filled with pictures and journaling for a not so traditional scrapbooking project. I used the beautiful trims from the July Ribbon Club Assortment “Black and White”

All the patterned papers I used were from my scrap and salvage box and the vintagy images are from my French Floral Chalkboard Labels Digital Collage Sheet.

Flora Pocket 1To top the tags I created bows from Black Checkerboard Satin, Black Sheer with 4 Thin Satin Stripes,  and Black Satin Swiss Dots.

Flora Pocket 8A pocket with the tags removed should look just as pretty so I finished the inside with coordinating polka dots.

Flora Pocket 2I used more of the Black Satin Swiss Dots and layered on some Barbara Crocheted Lace. The gorgeous flowers are from Petaloo..I just love them! I added an additional bow created with Chevron Striped Twill in Black.

Flora Pocket 3

The bows on the tags are finished with Wild Orchid Crafts Black Roses, and some sweet little charms and keys.

I really love my old school label maker and for this project the black tape was a perfect match. I layered the label with a glittery flowers and tag then anchored them with a metal clip.

Flora Pocket 5

The tags have more of the French Floral Chalkboard Labels on coordinating papers with bold graphic patterns.

Flora Pocket 6As you can see…a little accent with Stickles really helps the flowers pop and gives them a little sparkle.

Flora Pocket 7

I just love all the layers and textures on this pocket. It’s already gone to a good home and I hope they enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it!
Okay that’s all for me. Wishing you all a happy and productive day with lots of time to be creative : ) G
