Paris Tag Card

Standard

Happy rainy Sunday Paper Peeps! Well we’re in for another day of storms…thankfully I had the yard work done. Guess I’ll just hang out inside and play paper : ) I’m sharing a card I created yesterday with bits and pieces from the scrap and salvage box along with a tag from my  French Tags Collage Sheet.

Paris Tag Card 1This is one of my biggest patter mashups ever. I have Graphic 45, Jenni Bowlin, My Mind’s eye, and Prima.

Paris Tag Card 3Adding black borders helps to separate the patterns and pop dots give it a nice dimensional look so it’s not so flat.

Paris Tag Card 2These blooms were not quite right…..so I markered them lol….and I love the weathered look I got…so vintagy.

Paris Tag Card 4Little clips, acrylic film ribbon, and pins are lovely little details.  That die cut flourish border was a kind donation from my BOLB Kathy Clement…thank you so much it’s perfect!

Wishing all you Paper Peeps a happy and productive day with lots of time to be creative : ) G

Premium 4th of July Kits

Standard

Well it’s too stormy to go outside to play…so instead I stayed in and made some super fabulous Premium Patriotic Creativity Kits. These babies are really loaded with a ton of fun and festive paper and embellishments to add to your holiday crafting. I crafted some really poofy tinsel topped crepe fringe in the old red white and blue and stacked 6 layers of crepe to make them really lush. There’s not only pre-tied bows…but yard goods as well so you’ll get a full yard of red gingham, 2 full yards of navy satin, and a yard of wired tiny tinsel trim. I added a foot of poof star trim and a foot of star garland ,and 3 felty stars.  Pre-tied bows of twine are  perfect in blue and red and white with tiny wooden clothespins. Printed bags as well as kraft and glassine. Really sparkly rhinestone trim, blingy flower and pearl and crystal topped pins. Last but not least…tickets and flowers.

4th of July premium kitOkay..that’s all for me….I’m off to find something to make for dinner since it’s too rainy to go out. Wishing you all a happy and productive day with lots of time to be creative : ) G

Precious Memories Tag with Graphic 45

Standard

Oh my goodness Paper Peeps…seems like I haven’t posted in a while.  Summer in the country means a lot of extra outdoor work and kids activities.  But I have time to share a sweet tag I created with Precious Memories from Graphic 45. I may have gone a little overboard with the layers….but hey…how can I help myself with such beautiful paper????

Precious Memories Tag 1I always gravitate toward boy projects when I get a baby assignment….because that’s all I have here…a big o house full of boys. This tag is pretty large…I think it would look really sweet in a babies nursery.

Precious Memories Tag 2I handcrafted the checkered flowers with a stamp and die set and layered them up with flowers from Petaloo and Mulberry Roses

Precious Memories Tag 3Gorgeous Ornate Metal Keys from Graphic 45 Staples hang from Chevron Striped Blue Twill Ribbon and Aqua Baker’s Twine from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

Precious Memories Tag 4 To continue the metal embellishments I added an Metal Door Pull and Stamped Metal Brads.

Precious Memories Tag 5Squeeee look at all those layers!!!

Masculine Cards and Creativity Kit

Standard

Hey there Peeps! As promised I’ve got the new masculine cards mostly all done….and the Masculine Variety Card Creativity Kit is listed. Okay..it’s really much later in the day than I would like..but at least I’m still on the right day!!! And by mostly done..I mean I have 4 completed..and 4 laid out ready to assemble and embellish.

masculine kit card 3Isn’t this a dapper fellow? It’s hard sometimes to stop when you get rolling on a card…but if you don’t add too many flowers and bows you’ll be alright.

masculine kit card 2For this card I scavenged some stitched canvas for the background then added the patterned papers and image.

masculine kit card 4I like to have several cards on hand that I can use in a pinch like this one….could be a Birthday or Get Well Soon card…that way I’ll be prepared when I need one.

masculine kit card 1The secret to making all those patterns work together on the same card? Solid borders…that keeps your eyes from going buggy.1111111111111111111

I’ve got the next four cards blocked out and ready to to assemble and embellish…but first a trip to the post office!

Masculine Creativity KitI’ve got loads of patterned papers in warm rich colors, vintagy images in great masculine themes, pretied satin bows and lots of sentiments to mix and match so creating unique cards will be a cinch! There was more than enough for 8 full sized projects..with bits and pieces leftover …maybe I’ll make some tags?? You can find this Masculine Variety Card Creativity Kit in the Polly’s shop on Etsy : )

Okay..I’m off to the post office…wishing you all a happy and productive day with lots of time to be creative : ) G

Good Ol’ Sport Wallet Fold Mini with Tags for Graphic 45

Standard

Hey there Peeps! Well we’re finally getting some nice warm summery weather and I’ve been spending as much time outdoors as possible. A little too much yesterday as I’ve got myself quite a sunburn from being out on the tractor too long. Gonna spend the day recuperating in my shop working on some projects for a new kit coming out tomoorw…so I’ll be nice and cool..and covered in ink and glue lol.

I have a really fabulous project lined up for you today though…and just in time for a little Father’s Day crafting! And there’s also a Snapguide tutorial so make sure you check that out and you can make a Good Ol’ Sport Wallet Fold Mini with tags for yourself.

Good Ol' Sport Wallet Album 1 You can create this mini with 1 sheet of kraft paper.  I used the kind you get from the home improvement store when you’re covering hardwood floor. Why? It’s much thinner so it gives  perfectly tight crease lines and won’t get as bulky when you fold it up. #2 You can make them any size you want….as long as you can cut a perfectly square shape. I will say that the smaller you go….the more bulky it is so I wouldn’t go less that 10 inches. For this project I used a 12 x 12 square. Make them larger..and you’ll have room for the larger tags.

Good Ol' Sport Wallet Album 2

You can see now that you’ll get two pockets on the inside…and two pockets on the edges of the book.

Good Ol' Sport Wallet Album 3I’m using the paper patterns from the Good Ol’ Sport line from Graphic 45. The smaller paper pads are awesome to use for projects that need little prints.

Good Ol' Sport Wallet Album 4I used the sticker sheet to create tabs on these tags so they will look nice tucked into the book and will pull out easily.

Red White and Blue Challenge at Really Reasonable Ribbon

Standard

Hey there Paper Peeps! We are starting a new Red White and Blue Challenge at Really Reasonable Ribbon.  I chose to make a banner…..a patriotic banner….SURPRISE! Okay..I know you’re not surprised lol. You would be more surprised if I didn’t make a new patriotic banner right???

Patriotic Banner 1I’ve got Red White and Blue and Patriotic covered on this festive  holiday banner. I started with a base of 150 lb cardstock and layered on a ton of patterned papers. I added images from my Beach Babes Collage Sheet that I Stickled the patootie out of. Next came lot’s of Tim Holtz metal embellies and Petaloo Sugared Blooms. I’m using Navy Blue  Silky Crush Ribbon to hang the banner sections on as well as extra tags to hang between. The images of the flag shields were also heavily Stickled…..boy did my hand hurt after all that!  Notice how I added the bronze colored Eyelets?  That prevents the ribbon from pulling through so this will be a great addition to the seasonal decor for a long long time : )

Patriotic Banner 2Patriotic Banner 3Patriotic Banner 4Okay…now it’s your turn to create a project with a Red White and Blue theme and link up with us at Really Reasonable Ribbon to play along. Wishing you all a happy and productive day with lots of time to be creative : ) G
