Party Pug Card to Wish Anna A Happy Birthday : )

Well hey there Paper Peeps! I just dropping in this evening to wish my very dear friend Anna a super fantabulous awesometacular Birthday! I created a special card for her…that involved a little sneaky pre-planning….and she was none the wiser when I brought my camera into the shop a few weeks ago to “Get pics of sweet Holly Hocks…our Tuesday night mascot for the blog”  but little did she know I was getting pics for a very special card for her!

IMG_3600-001Holly Hocks is the cutest party pug ever! I gave her a festive little hat..and a subway art styled sentiment. The ribbon is Swiss Dot’s on Apple Green Satin. I layered on a Chevron Stripe in Celery from Really Reasonable Ribbon and topped it off with some green roses ( Anna’s favorite color.)

Okay…that’s all for me….wishing you all ( especially Anna) a happy and productive day with lots of time to be creative : ) G

Go Pirates Graduating Class of 2014

Hey there Paper Peeps! It’s that time of year when the kiddos walk down the aisle to get their diplomas. I don’t have one in my house graduating this year….but we have some very special friends who do and we are so proud of them!!!! One of the blessing of living in a small town is that every kid is your kid….one big happy family. I created a card this year with some great subway styled art and fun pirate images for the Pinckney Fighting Pirates! I created many of the same card that will hopefully become a keepsake of their special day.

IMG_3601IMG_3602We have great school colors to work with….and I added just a nice little bow of Black Plaid Ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

I’m wishing them all a very bright future and I’m wishing you a happy and productive day with lots of time to be creative : ) G

Happy Birthday Card with Typography and Subway Sentiments

Well hello there Paper Peeps! Hope you all are enjoying a lovely morning. I’m dropping in to share a fun birthday card I created with Graphic 45 Typography papers and my new Subway Style Card Sentiments Digital Collage Sheet.

IMG_3633IMG_3634IMG_3635Isn’t that a fabulous card sentiment???? I wanted to create a sheet that would have the perfect image for just about any occasion….so all you have to do is print it out…then clip the image you need for the card you want to create : )  It’s subway art styled….which works well with all different styles….I’ve used a vintagy theme here for my Birthday card….but they would look great on Clean and Simple or modern styles too! I think they would also look fabby on tags.

Serious Ribbon Crush ad Shabby Box Tutorial

Okay….I admit….I have a super serious ribbon crush on the new Cotton Blend Vintage Pink Floral RibbonWhen I saw that ribbon…I had to have it….stat!!!! It is so gorgeous and shabby. When it came in the mail…I loved it even more. It’s got a beautiful rose pattern and the burlap is sturdy…but soft enough to make a lovely poofy bow.  I didn’t add a bow to this project….but I will next time for sure : )

I upcycled a box into pretty and functional storage for my crafty space. It turned out so well….that I’ve been eyeballing things around the house to see what else I can cover….I may be addicted!

IMG_3624The only thing this box had going for it was that it’s a great size for containing pens or scissors but really heavy…so I can store my cropodile without tipping the box over.

IMG_3625After adding one width of my new favorite ribbon. I used Scor-Tape and hot glue.

IMG_3626Two widths on now. It’s pretty already!!!!!

IMG_3627Must have  Melissa Natural Crocheted Lace on the top.

IMG_3628Don’t forget to add some to the bottom.

IMG_3629My other new favorite Ivory Burlap String criss-crossed around. Swooning

IMG_3630I rescued a pretty handmade flower I created for a project that needed a little repurposing.

Isn’t that a fabulous little shabby chic box???? Thank you Bonnie for getting trim that I absolutely fell in love with!!!! I see a lot of burlap in my future!!!!

Okay……..that’s all for me. Wishing you all a happy and productive day with lots of time to be creative : )G

Vintage Patriotic Staggered Page Mini Album

Well hello there Paper Peeps!  I’m dropping in to share a really fun mini album that we created in class a few weeks ago. I was trying to save it til closer to the holiday….but I have the patience of a 5 year old child lol!!!! So here is a super fun and festive Vintage Patriotic Staggered Page Mini Album…

IMG_3603IMG_3604IMG_3605IMG_3606IMG_3608IMG_3609I can tell you that we had a blast making this fun album with loads of holiday inspired paper patterns, vintage images, flowers, ribbon, paper rosettes, buttons, and a fun bottle cap embellishment! I just love how the pages stagger to reveal a sneak peek of the whole book at a glance.  This is a rare time I will list a patriotic themed project in the Etsy shop…as I usually keep them for our own decor….but we are chock full of patriotic minis so this one is available and ready to ship….in time for the holidays….wouldn’t this be a great gift all filled up with pictures and memories???

I used some of my favoritest trims from Really Reasonable RibbonRed Gingham, Center Stitch Burlap in Navy, Sheer Organza with Navy Center, Patriotic Boats on Navy Grosgrain. I also used quite a few Mulberry Flowers also from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

Okay..that’s it for me today….I’m off to the shop to get my craft on! Wishing you all a happy and productive day with lots of time to be creative : ) G

Craft Hoarders Anonymous and Stencil Girl Blog Hop

Hello there Paper Peeps! I’m so excited that it’s my day to share the project I created for the Craft Hoarders Anonymous and Stencil Girl Blog Hop! 10359059_10204207203728099_4050593051629660639_o

Challenge #10 Spray It! Ink It! Paint It! Smear It! Emboss It!

Show us your inner mixed media diva! Use spray mists, inks, paints, modeling paste, embossing powder, pastels, chalk, and whatever messy media you can find! Let’s dig into that hoard, pull out some of that “messy stuff,” and use it up! There is a mess-maker hiding in all of you! Let her/him out to play!

For my take on the challenge I created a layout with lot’s of inks and sprays and stencils and stamps ( and very messy hands!)  I also got a little digital and create a feature for my layout by layering script and postal labels on a beautiful vintage woman image…..she was the inspiration for the color scheme and style of my layout and I even added inked film strips…..I’m calling it Vintage Hollywood Glam Chic.

IMG_3554I used Worldwin Cardstock to cut my frames and the Open Buildings Stencil from Stencil Girls.

IMG_3556I added some stamping to anchor the corners along with some French script and polka dots.

IMG_3560These flowers were a real labor of love…it took forever to get them painted just right!

IMG_3559These film strips really help build the Hollywood Glam theme….I printed them on craft colored cardstock then inked them heavily under advisement of my class Peeps! Good call Peeps!

Okay…that’s all for my project…..don’t forget to hop on over and check out the other projects that are being shared in the hop today!
