Just popping in to share another sweet birthday card I created earlier this week.
I layered these butterflies for extra dimension and topped them off with pretty pearly accents. The handcrafted flower is lightly inked with Distress Stain in Picket Fence. The trims of course are from RRR.
The vintage floral and frame image are from Graphic’s Fairy. The paper in soft teal checks and dots is from Lily Bee. I stitched it with the zig zag setting.
I’m loving all the dimension on this card!
Just in case you’re wondering to yourself”self…she said there was going to be giraffes” Well my dear friend Brandy came in to play paper with me today and gifted me this totally wonderful and sweet hand crafted giraffe : ) I named it Tallulah. It makes me happy just looking at it. Thanks so much Brandy for the sweet surprise…you are very talented and generous!!!! : )

Virginia…there is no easy answer to that lol. Some projects seem to take on a life of their own and create themselves…you gotta love when the creativity flows. Unfortunately there are other projects that I worry and stress over. I believe it is a fault of mine to nit-pick things until I have them just right. This gets in the way of creativity. Even with as many projects as I have completed…there is always a learning curve involved as I like to include new techniques. And unfortunately I am not immune to rookie mistakes. I only show the projects that turn out well…you only see the hits..never the miss. I imagine it’s a lot like when you are developing a new recipe. Trial and error. Ginny
I understand completely Ginny. I was asked how long it took me to paint beautiful roses on a piece of furniture. I replied ” five minutes to paint, 5 years to learn how to paint in 5 minutes”. Good wishes for a glorious and productive week. Virginia
