A Little Decking the Halls

Standard

This pretty little arrangement sit next to the hutch

in my kitchen. It’s a very simple collection in keeping

with my new low key decorating theme.

I arranged a set of large candlesticks on a sweet little

painted trunk.  The lantern with a few shinies tucked

inside. A simple little garland of sparkly snowflakes.

The pictures in back I am particularly proud of.

I made them years ago from bits and pieces of my

hoarded Pottery Barn catalogs. I think it makes

a fun graphic back drop…without being to busy.

You guessed it…I’m still having fun with the photo effects!

Here’s a better look at the pictures.

Isn’t this picture just dreamy? I could stay home and play with the camera all day : )

However…..I gotta get motivated to go to the shop. It’s paper playin day with my Peeps.

Thanks for visiting my little corner of the world today! Hope you have a wonderful

creative day!

Holiday Hutch-Photo Fun

Standard

I’ve toned down the amount of decorations I put in the hutch this year

and I’m finding that a less is more version of Christmas suits me just fine.

Same white plates and platters as fall….but I added only a few splashes

of color.  A little evergreen with red ribbon and poinsettias.

Compote with red ornaments and a couple little vintagy

Santas. Red charger plates and some peppermint striped metal

tin cups. The red vase is the last detail and is repourposed

from Valentines Day. Thought I might have some fun playing with the picture settings.

↓Here is the original ↓

I adjusted the film grain on this one…reminds me of how pictures looked in old

magazines before everything went high tech and HD : )

↓Center shelf original↓

I really like this one. Much softer and you notice the texture more.

I think this one looks really old LOL. You know I love vintage : )

I sprinkled white beans on the red plate to add texture…and some snowflake garland

for sparkle.

Sassy Christmas Box and Tag Set

Standard

Here is a cheeky version of my Fry Box Scrapbook  : ) It’s a little

bit sassy and a little bit sweet! I started with a fun image from

Graphics Fairy and used her to accent the fry box dressed for the

holidays with warm red paper and some fun black trim.

I added the bedazzled ribbon slide to dress it up and finished

it off with a simple button.

All the Naughty and Nice tags fit inside : ) I topped off the tags with

a chipboard bow and button.

The tags are created on a base of brown craft paper for extra sturdiness

and are the perfect place to do some journaling.

There’s plenty of room to add pictures to the box. Wouldn’t this be a fun gift????

A nice way to present a gift card too!

Yayy Christmas Smash Book!!!

Standard

You just never know where the inspiration for your projects is

going to come from. Today it was delivered. My very dear friend Anja

was kind enough to bring an entire pot of homemade soup!!!

All the goodies for the soup was carried in an awesome vintage

metal picnic basket with red plaid!!!!

Christmas Smash Book inspiration!!!

See…I told you the basket was awesome. So was the soup : ) Thanks Anja!!!

Fun acrylic page. Love me some layers!!! : )

Bingo card page from our almost local antiques market.

Stickers on snowflakes on craft tags oh my!!!

The envelope is from Maya Road….put little treasures inside.

I love the texture from the ripped out pages from the tiny spiral notebook.

Look at all those layers : )

Back cover.

Isn’t this a sweet little guy????

This is my sweet big guy Scooter…getting in on the action. Maybe he thinks he will

be the next top model : )

Vintage Box with Tags

Standard

I knew right away when I saw this image on Graphics Fairy that I would

have to use it on a special project. She labeled it as Christmas…but

I think it would work equally well as New Years!

I started by creating a french fry style box out of brown craft

paper for extra sturdiness.  Then I set about adding layers of

well inked papers, lace trim, buttons, ribbon and wonderful

metal charms. The paper is from Graphics 45 : )

All the tags fit inside.

I selected a different metal charm for each tag.

The lace wraps around the back.

I just love all the inking on these tags!

Isn’t that a sweet little face????

All the buttons from this project came from our

almost local antiques market.

I think it might be fun to add some pictures to the box and

use the tags for journaling : )  Like a scrapbook in a box!!!

Vintage Christmas Kit

Standard

I’ve been busy in the shop again making awesome new kits for cards

and tags and goodie bags!

This time I wanted to pull together a collection of paper pretties

to make vintage styled projects (my personal fav!!!)

I choose a nice blue and warm brown color scheme and added

tons of bits and pieces for old fashioned accents.

The twist this time… I added fun little glassine bags to embellish for

treats and gift cards and other little treasures.

There’s lot’s of papers and die cuts and jingle bells

even velvety trim and glitter flakes!

I added some sweet little petite card bases so all you have to

is get down to the fun! There are also full size cards with envelopes.

Great coordinating buttons and dimensional metal snowflakes.

Glassine bags and mailing tags. Pom pom trim in blue and brown.

Tiny tags just right for stamping and inking. Velvety and felted flowers.

Ready to finish chipboard ribbon slide and sweet little metal charm.

There’s craft paper tags and a great little gift bag, more paper

more die cuts and more glassine bags. Ribbon and twine, and glass

headed pins. Canvas and metal brads, tiny clothes pins and even tinier

paper clips! Of course I added more buttons and some ribbon trim accents

that look like snowflakes!

This kit is now available in the Etsy shop. Click on the link on the right to
