Hope everyone had a nice holiday: )

We are very lucky to live in a small town in the country and      this is the time of year for parades in Pinckney!

After volunteering at the drop off area for all the folks , we had three marching in the parade.

Peeps at the Park

After the parade we all gather at the park for an incredibly moving ceremony to honor those who sacrificed all to keep us safe and free.

Beautiful memorial at the park.

Okay…so this was the first time I filled up the card in the camera at one event. LOL. I did a lot of editing though….sorry to those I missed…busy day and very hot. We did enjoy a nice evening and incredible meal with friends after the parade. I hope you all enjoyed your holiday as much as I did : )

Vintage Pocket Kits

I’m very excited to share with you these great new kits we have listed in our Etsy shop. I’ve filled a sweet little pocket with the most scrumptious Jenni Bowlin papers and paired them with yummy little embellishments : ) Everything you need for the whole book…which is included too by the way. There’s chipboard, lace, trim, stickers, paper, journal cards, flowers…all perfectly coordinated.

You want em even more vintage??? Okay!!!

If you would like to see all the tasty little details…or if you just gotta have one hop on over to our Etsy shop by clicking the link on the right : ) These would make a great gift!!!

Sweet and Sassy Party Invitations

These are some awesome little greeting cards-invitations I whipped up the other day. This is another fab Graphics Fairy image layered over equally awesome polka dot paper from Lily Bee. I left them blank inside…so any sentiment can be added. This is sure to bring a smile when opened!

More Signs of Spring!!!!

Views from our front yard : ) Country living at it’s finest!!

Beautiful Lilacs

Flowering Trees

Of course birds!!!

Jonathan playing soccer!!! This one’s for you Mom : )

Lovely French Stationary Set

Who doesn’t love to get a package with lots of things to open inside? Especially a package as pretty as this pocket with a stationary set inside? There’s  cards,  tags, and  envelope seals. All in dreamy colors and tied with shimmery ribbon.

I am lovin the music sheet strips : ) And the fancy brads : )

All these yummy little packages inside. Wouldn’t this make a nice gift?

Vintage Mini w/Ephemera!

I am just crazy over the new ephemera packs! You know me…I had to get into them all! I made this little book with an assortment of pieces and I love the eclectic look! It’s so very vintage and sweet : )

The front cover features a charming image from Graphics Fairy…that was the inspiration. The chipboard frame is from Crate. Funny little arrow to show to flip the page : )

Image from ephemera pack from Glitz. Other smaller images from Pink Paislee. I covered the chipboard button and “stitched” it on. The young man is wearing a cute crown!

The right side is a piece from Pink Paislee. Love that it looks like print from vintage childs book. I added a few layers to brighten it up!

Okay….who doesn’t love glitter???? Just sayin. The tag on the right pulls out.

Another pocket with a tag. I added several rubons and vintage inspired trim.

Can you believe that floral vine is a rubon? How cool is that?

Lot’s of fun layers here! And chipboard, and trim, and buttons, and keys…oh my!!! The large pink tag pulls out of the pocket.

The back is sweet and simple : )

Birds of a Feather

Here are some awesome shots of the variety of lovely birds as seen from our living room window…taken by D.H. since my hands shake too much to take very  good scenery shots. I’m no bird expert…but here goes….Cardinal↓↓↓

Red winged black bird???? Let me know if I’m wrong lol.

Not sure what type birds…but that red  barberry shrub in the background hates me!!! I always get nasty splinters when I weed around it.

D.H. must have been getting a little artsy…he made this collage.

Humming bird in flight. We have a whole family living in our yard: )

Wasp sitting on a leaf in the tree.

How’s this for an action shot????

Star Spangled Banner

Having  so much fun with the patriotic theme. My next project is of course collage, and of course a banner, and of course vintage!!!!!

My salute to Americana!

There are so many details…where to begin??? Okay I made the stars first. They are folded to be dimensional, inked for age then glittered. The base is a month from the Jenni Bowlin calendar set…I loved that it gave it an instant border. Next layer is from Pink  Paislee Hometown Summer collection. Very appropriate don’t ya think : ) Red border around the Blue dot…also from Pink Paislee to make it pop. Vintage image is from Graphics Fairy. Ephemera pieces from the Daily Jounque collection.  Brown parts tag is from Jilli Bean Soup. Vintage sticker, I did cut out the background. Sparkly chipboard for accents and some red buttons tied with string! We have most of these elements available in the shop if you want to make one of your own to celebrate our summer holidays!!!

Patriotic Pocket

This sweet little pocket was inspired by the great vintage  images I found on Graphics Fairy. With our summer holidays coming up  we all get a little more patriotic this time of year don’t we?

The blue and white dot and red pattern  paper is from Jenni Bowlin Studio. That awesome canvas ruffle( you didn’t think I sewed that did you??? LOL) is from Pink Paislee. Red check ribbon from the Christmas clearance at the craft store. The ephemera elements are from Pink Paislee too. We have some left in the store…but I don’t expect them to last long. How awesome is the tag in the pocket???? It’s ginormous!!! I sanded it and inked it and added some big buttons with string.
